LIDDICK, Virginia, 58, of Zephyrhills, died Friday, July 25, 2003 at East Pasco Medical Center. Born in Reading, Pa., she moved to this area one year ago from Robesonia, Pa. Mrs. Liddick was a Machinist and was a member of the Lutheran Church in Adamstown, Pa. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and riding motorcycles. Her favorite trips were going to the shore with her friend `Doll.` Mrs. Liddick is survived by her husband, Douglas of Zephyrhills; one son, Allan Zimmerman of Reading, Pa.; one daughter, Donna Davis of Burnville, Pa.; one brother, Donnie Seidel of Reading, Pa.; one sister, Caroline `Toots` Henry of Reading, Pa.; her mother, Mary Keim Seidel of Reading, Pa.,; one aunt, Sarah Bingaman of Reading, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Nicole Althouse, Kyle Althouse, Alyssa Zimmerman and Andrew Zimmerman. She is predeceased by a son, Terry Zimmerman.

MOCK, Donald L., 85, of Holiday, died Saturday, July 26, 2003 at home. He was born in Chandlersville, Ohio and moved to Holiday from Largo in 1991, and to Largo from Columbus, Ohio in 1980. He was a retired personnel and safety director for ASARCO in Columbus, Ohio and a member of Holiday Christian Church in Holiday. Survivors include two sons, Lawrence M. Mock of Pataskala, Ohio and Kenneth E. Mock of Warren, Ohio; brother, Eugene C. Mock of Chandlersville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2003 from 10 a.m. until service begins at 11 a.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Serenity Gardens in Largo.

PEABODY, Harold Roger, 69, of Zephyrhills, passed away July 25, 2003 in Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Saber) Peabody of Zephyrhills; a son, Richard Peabody of Land O' Lakes; a daughter, Cheryl Fraser of Star Lake, N.Y.; three brothers, Allan Peabody, Warren Peabody and Floyd Peabody, all of New York; and a sister, Freida Chamberlain of New York. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Peabody. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on (Today) Monday, July 28, 2003 at Whitfield Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Peabody was born April 5, 1934 in Carthage, New York to Howard and Goldie (Zeller) Peabody. He came to this area 35 years ago from Schenectady, New York and was also formerly of Star Lake, New York. He was a veteran of the Air Force, a member of the Zephyrhills Moose Lodge, a construction driver and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was a building contractor all his life. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Rigoglioso of Hudson; three sons, Charles of Patchogue, N.Y., Frank Jr. of Long Island, N.Y. and Dean of Clearwater; brother, Sam of Long Island, N.Y.; three sisters, Rose Pywar of Bohemia, N.Y., Lucy Romeo of Long Island, N.Y. and Carol Short of New Port Richey; and granddaughter, Virginia Rigoglioso. SPARKS, Linda Marie, 46, of New Port Richey, died Thursday, July 24, 2003 at home. She was born in Elgin, Illinois and moved to New Port Richey from Greenville, Tenn. in 1994. She was an LPN and Nursing Director at Forest Glen Lodge in New Port Richey with five years of service and a member of Flag Branch Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville, Tenn. Survivors include two sons, Preston Starcher of Greenville, Tenn. and Allen Starcher of New Port Richey; two brothers, David Greene and James Horner, both of New Port Richey; two sisters, Janet Martine and Tina Horner, both of New Port Richey; and eight grandchildren.

COPELAND, Bernard Gene, 77, of New Port Richey, passed away July 25, 2003 at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. He was born August 23, 1925 in Rock Island, Ill., and Came here 15 years ago from Holly, Mich. He was a tool machinist with General Motors in Flint, Mich. He was a Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Sophia; seven sons, Phillip Copeland of Gladwin, Mich., Daniel Copeland of Clearwater, Fla., John Copeland of Waterford, Mich., Dennis Martin of Grand Blanc, Mich., Greg Copeland of Pontiac, Mich., Steven Martin of Holly and Bill Copeland of New Port Richey; four daughters, Lynn Martin of Grand Blanc, Edythe McConnell of Waterford, Carol Richert of Waterford, and Patti Gillette of Rose City, Mich.; a sister, Colleen Todd of New Port Richey; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

DORAN, Edward B., 70, of Hudson, passed away July 28, 2003 at Bayonet Point Health and Rehab Center. He was born September 4, 1932 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and came here 33 years ago from Long Island, N.Y. He was Catholic and a self employed electrician. He served in the US Army. Survivors include his wife, Anne; a daughter, Julianne Sastro of Tampa; and six grandchildren.

FALLONE, Michael J., 31, of Holiday, died Saturday, July 26, 2003 in New Orleans, La. He was born in Red Bank, N.J. and came to the area three months age from Floral City, Fla. He was a retail sales associate with Sears Auto Service Center in Crystal River. Mr. Fallone attended Citrus Co. Community College. He was a Christian who enjoyed fishing and volleyball. He is survived by his parents, Ty and Joanne Fallone of Brooklyn, Conn.; sister, Jennifer Fallone; grandparents, Blanche Fallone of Douglas, Mass. and Joseph `Dick` and Dorothy Murray of Holiday; and several aunts, uncle and cousins. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 31 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 1 at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey with Fr. Michael Lydon officiating. GOETH, Rose M., 95, of New Port Richey, Florida, died Monday, July 28, 2003 at Oakview Terrace in New Port Richey. She was born in McKeesport, Pa. and moved to New Port Richey from Holiday earlier this year and to Holiday from East Detroit, Mich. in 1970. She was a retired credit manager for Spiegel Catalog Co. in Detroit, Mich. and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Holiday. Survivors include son, George Goeth of New Port Richey; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial following at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.

Schnell and Jean Lawyer, both of Holiday and Doris Cerda and June Covert, both of New Port Richey; one sister, Dorothy Forbes of New Port Richey; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Kattskill, N.Y. and moved to New Port Richey from Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 14 years ago. She was an adult education secretary and a member of First United Methodist Church of Hudson. Survivors include husband, Paul R. LOUGHLIN, Raymond J., 90, of New Port Ri chey, died Saturday, July 26, 2003 at Community Hospital in New Port Richey. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he arrived in the area just two weeks ago coming from Brooklyn. Mr. Loughlin was a steam fitter with Local Union #237 in New York City. He was a Catholic and is survived by his son, Vincent Loughlin of Hudson; granddaughters, Joanne Ellis of New Port Richey and Linda Iadisernia of Reeders, Pa.; and five great-grandchildren.

MIRANDA, Errico F., 81, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at his residence. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he came to Florida in 1985 from Queens, New York. He owned and operated Ermann Knitting Mill in Glendale, New York and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Hudson, Florida. He was also a life member of VFW post #4412, Hudson, Florida and a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Marie Miranda of Hudson; two sons, Dominic Miranda of Valley Stream, N.Y. and Paul Miranda of Hudson; a brother, Donato Miranda of Babylon, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2003 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Bell Funeral Home, 7532 State Road 52, Hudson, Florida. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Hudson. PONDI, Jennie, 90, of New Port Richey, died July 27, 2003 at Orchard Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New Port Richey. Born in Nyeck, N.Y., she came to the area 15 years ago from Nyeck. She was a homemaker and a Protestant. She is survived by her son, Alex E. Pondi of New Port Richey; daughter, Marjorie Yakal of New Port Richey; five grandchildren, Susan Segelbacher of Garnerville, N.Y., Brian Pondi of Holiday, Lisa Branstetter of New Port Richey and James Yakal of Seward, Alaska.; and six great-grandchildren.

SCHREIB, Chester W. `Chet`, 84, of Zephyrhills, died Saturday, July 26, 2003. He was born February 8, 1919 to Charles F. and Georgia (Bovie) Schreib. He was the fourth of five children born and raised on the family owned farm in Martinton, Ill. Chester and his family continued on to own and operate the farm for more than 40 years. He also worked for more then 15 years with the State of Illinois, Iroquois County, Highway Department before retiring as a supervisor and moving to Zephyrhills in 1982. While in Illinois, memberships included the United Church of Christ in Papineau, Ill. and Moose Lodge in Kankakee, Ill. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Phyllis of Zephyrhills; daughter, Lonnie Hufham of Zephyrhills; son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Nancy Schreib of Warwick, Rhode Island; five grandchildren, Michael, Heather, Christopher, David and Timothy; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Crystal; sister, Arilla Hubert of Donoven, Illinois; and brother, Charles Schreib, Jr. of Edwardsville, Illinois. Burial will be at Kankakee Memorial Gardens in Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East Pasco Hospice Care Center, 700 Royal Oak Way, Dade City, FL 33525 in memory of Chester W. Schreib.

SCULL, Ruth N., 79, of Holiday, Fla., died July 26, 2003 at Helen Ellis Hospital, Tarpon Springs. Born in Atlantic City, N.J., she moved to Florida in 1983 from Absecon, N.J. She was a retired office worker and attended Holiday United Church of Christ, Holiday. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leonard Scull; two daughters, Lorraine Cove of New Port Richey and Nancy Brainard of Gainesville, Fla.; one brother, John Hoffmann of California; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was a data processor with Singer Core in Long Island, N.Y. for 15 years and a Lutheran. She is survived by her son, Walter J. Weber of Lancaster, Pa.; daughter, Barbara Jean Knueppel of Jackson, Mich.; brother, Herbert Baum of Lexington, Ky.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and moved to Holiday from Port Jefferson Station, N.Y. in 1989. He was a bookkeeper for Consolidated Oil Co. with 25 years of service and a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in New Port Richey and a member of the Icarian Club in Dunedin, Fla. Survivors include wife, Paula Xenakis of Holiday; son, Michael Xenakis of Gainesville, Fla.; four daughters, Kathryn Athanasiadis of Holiday, Maria Fletcher of Ft. White, Fla., Joan Velasquez of Port Richey and Constance Miller of Holiday; three brothers; one sister; seven grandchildren.

AMEY, Bernadette 91, of N Falmouth, Mass. and formerly of Tampa, died July 23, 2003. She was predeased by her husband, Matt Amey and her son, Brent D. Amey, M.D. She is survived by two daughters, Karlyn Curran of Mashpee, Mass. and Susan Lavin of Conifer, Colo.; a son-in-law, Mike Lavin of Conifer; a daughter-in-law, Twila Amey of Odessa; five grandchildren; three step-children; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral mass was held in Mashpee. Interment will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation-Tampa Children's Hospital.

BRIGEMAN, Mary `Madge` , 85, passed away from this life on July 27, 2003 after a brief illness. She was born in Torrington, Connecticut and spent her adult life there raising a family and running `Scarpelli's Family Drive In.` Her retirement years were spent in Stuart, Fla. and most, recently in Sun City Center. Throughout her life `Madge` was actively involved in church and community serving as President of the Women's Club and Girl Scout leader all affiliated with St. Francis Church in Torrington. Her love for children and concern for all was expressed through her originating Big Top Day Care Center and volunteering her service at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Fla. Madge was a very out-going and friendly individual who loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. She was adored by her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother and father John and Mary Bartku; her sister, Anna; and her first husband, Angelo Scarpelli. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Fred W. Brigeman Jr., brother, William Bartku; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Nancy Scarpelli of Torrington, Conn.; daughter, Donna Buchelt of T orrington; daughter and son-in law, Mary and Raymond DelConte of Blueridge, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Bev Scarpelli of Charleston, W.Va.; step son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Patty Brigeman of Yorba Linda, Calif.; step son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Brigeman of Tigerville, S.C.; and step-son, Timothy Brigeman from Clearwater; 12 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Stiller officiating in Sun City Center at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Sun City Center Funeral Home, Sun City Center, Fla., (813) 634-9900.

CONNER, Yokoma Foya `Chuck`, age 78, of Valrico took the hand of his daughter Connie Conner and entered into the kingdom of heaven on July 26, 2003. His is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Gisela Cepero Conner; his brother, Moya T. Conner `Billie`, his children; Betty Miller `Preston`, Naomi K. Sorensen `Norm`, Leon F. Conner `Carolyn`; stepchildren, Wayne K. Nunez `Palmira` and Cheryl Sanchez-Silver `Daniel`. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sharon Phungglan, Joann Squires, Annamarie Del Rosario, Tammie Hogg, Anthony Macedo, Jacob Conner, Jason Conner, Joseph Conner, Monica Nunez-Patterson and Derek Silver, Chuck was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Brandon Hospital for the wonderful care he received. Special thanks is also given to the Pearl team at LifePath Hospice House in Sun City Center for ensuring his comfort at the end and for the support they gave to his family. A Memorial service celebrating his life will be held 2 p.m. August 2, 2003 at the Stowers Brandon chapel, Brandon, FL. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Li fePath Hospice House, 908 American Eagle Blvd., Sun City Center, FL 33573. Chuck was an avid bowler and golfer. He golfed in many Pro/AM tournaments while he lived in California. He tried to help all those he met and all who loved him will miss him.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Davis; one son, Fred `Jimbo` Davis, Jr.; two daughters, Beki Bullard and Glenda Howard; one brother, Cliffton Davis; six sisters, Evelyn Robinson, Elizabeth Dotson, Delores Henderson, Zonie Devlin, Martha Jean Dreifus, and Darlene Gaylord; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, (Today), July 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Springhead Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday evening.
