CABANAW, Beatrice `Bea` V., 89, of New Port Richey and formerly of Holiday, died Monday, July 28, 2003 at Orchard Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New Port Richey. She was born in Belle River, Ontario, Canada and moved to New Port Richey from Holiday and to Holiday from Dearborn, Mich. in 1979. She was a retired legal secretary and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Holiday. Survivors include her niece, Annette Ferguson of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. A graveside Service will be Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 9 a.m. at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.

DORAZIO, Fred Sr., 83, of Holiday, Florida, died Monday, July 28, 2003 at home. He was born in Queens, New York and moved here from New Port Richey in 2001 and to New Port Richey from Queens, N.Y. in 1995. He retired as a union carpenter with Local #257 in Manhattan, N.Y. after 52 years of service and an Episcopalian. Mr. Dorazio was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenter & Jointers of American Local #257 in Manhattan, N.Y. Survivors include two sons, Rocco F. Dorazaio of Port Richey and Robert R. Dorazio of New Port Richey; daughter, Louise Marie Dorazio of Port Richey; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

LEGAJ, Emily H., 84, of St. Clair, Mich., died July 28, 2003 after a short illness. Mrs. Legaj was born Emily H. Gajor in Detroit on December 21, 1918. She married John J. Legaj on September 11, 1942 and moved to Ruby, Mich. where they owned and operated the Ruby Market from 1955 to 1962. They purchased the Adair Bar in 1965 and operated it until Mr. Legaj's death in 1970. Mrs. Legaj spent 14 years of her retirement in Zephyrhills, returning to her long time hometown in 1997. Emily has been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of St. Clair since 1965 and a member of the Daughters of Isabella since she was 16. She taught religious education classes and has been active in charitable work throughout her life. She is survived by her sons, Paul J. (Susan Manley) Legaj of Rocky Mount, N.C. and Michael J. (Constance Uroda/Sands) Legaj of Marysville, Mich.; three grandchildren, John (Molly) Legaj of Kansas City, Paul (Melba) Legaj and Andrea (Keith) Milks; four great-grandchildren, Michael S., Joshua and Colin Legaj and Brandon Milks, all of N.C.; two sisters, Stephanie (Cass) Fleszar of Detroit and Charlotte (Floyd) Burgett of Zephyrhills; two sisters-in-law, Nellie (John) Tluczek o f Detroit and Katherine Gajor of Livonia, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Gajor; and sister, Tillie Cybulski. Visitation will be held Wed. from 2-9 p.m. from the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair, Mich. with Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.

PEPPER, Harold, 97, of New Port Richey, died July 27, 2003 at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. Born in England, he moved to Florida in 1975 from Rochester, Mich. He was retired and a member of Community Congregational Church in New Port Richey for 28 years, singing in the choir for 18 years. Mr. Pepper was a life member of 42 years with the Elks in New Port Richey and is survived by two sons, Gary E. Pepper of New Port Richey and Harold A. Pepper of Louisville, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

SMITH, Willis D., 87, of Zephyrhills, passed away July 25, 2003 in Zephyrhills. He is survived by his wife, June Smith of Zephyrhills; a daughter, Connie Smith of Green Valley, Ariz.; two step-children, Steven Hanna of Seattle, Wash. and Christopher Hanna of Temperance, Mich.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Born September 16, 1915 in Deweyville, Ohio to Earl and Estelle (Champion) Smith, Mr. Smith worked as a selector for a Tea Company. He was a Veteran and came to Zephyrhills in 1978 from Ohio. He was a Methodist.

SNYDER, Clarabelle A., 72, of New Port Richey, died July 27, 2003 at Life Care Center in New Port Richey. Born in Manitowoc, Wis., she moved to Florida in the early 1950's from Manitowoc. She was retired and a Methodist. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge #3153 in New Port Richey and is survived by her brother, Elroy Griebling of Holiday and sister, Gladys Meynche of Highland, California.

BUSBEE, Cornelia Jane Thomson, (Connie), passed away at her home on July 26, 2003. She is survived by her son, Johnson Taylor Busbee, III of Chicago, Illinois; her daughter, Elizabeth Busbee Snyder son-in-law, Todd and granddaughter, Caroline Taylor Snyder of St. Mary's, Ga.; and two step-daughters, Kay Busbee Spence of Pawley's Island, S.C. and Mary Busbee Mcpherson of Atlanta, Ga., and their husbands, William and Charles, respectively. She is also survived by her brother, William Briggs Thomson of San Carlos, Calif.; and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Thomson Sorensen of Kansas City, Missouri, Rebecca Thomson Rushing of Lakeland, Nancy Thomson Hamilton of Lakeland, Patricia Thomson McIntosh of Upland, Calif. and Louise Thomson Lashley of Zephyrhills; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her brother, Hal Young Thomson, preceded her in death. Mrs. Busbee was born in Jackson, Tenn. on August 16, 1929 to Hal and Mary Thomson, who have preceded her in death. She moved to Kathleen, Florida with her family in 1934. She graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1947 and from the Columbia South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She served as a registered nurse o n board the Seaboard Airline Railroad until her marriage in 1955 to Johnson Taylor Busbee, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1989. They lived for many years in Charleston, S.C. and she retired from nursing there to move back to Zephyrhills in 1994. Mrs. Busbee was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, having served as an officer in both of the Zephyrh ills chapters. Gardening and decorating were her life-long interests. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Dade City with Reverand Kevin Morris officiating. A luncheon, provided by Chapters BG and EU, P.E.O. Sisterhood, will follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of Cornelia Thomson Busbee be made to the Hernando-Pasco Hospice Building Fund, 7066 Fort King Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.

DILMORE, Mildred, 97, of Kissimmee, Fla., passed away on July 14, 2003 at the Good Samaritian Nursing Home. Mrs. Dilmore moved here in 1974 from Horsehead, N.Y. She was an assistant office manager for Dairylea Corp. and a member of St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church. Survivors include her daughter, July Yale and husband, Dean; sister, Dorothea Rutzke of York, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 1, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Zephyrhills with Father Martin officiating.

FOX, Jack Chapman, 70, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Thursday, July 24, 2003 at home. He was born in Auburn, Indiana and moved to New Port Richey from Chicago, Ill. 14 years ago. He retired as an agent for John Handcock Insurance Co. Chicago, Ill. after 25 years of service and was a Veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a Protestant and a member of the American Legion Paradise Post #79 and the Chester McKay VFW Post #7987, both in New Port Richey. Survivors include daughter, Michelle Sabin of Xenia, Ill.; two grandchildren; and a companion, Sheila Hays of New Port Richey.

GUERRIERE, Vera, 86, a native of Tampa, has resided in Zephyrhills since 1985, and passed away July 29, 2003. She was affectionately known as `Grammy` to all who loved her. Her passion for cooking, love of entertaining and her endearing devotion to her family is her wonderful legacy. She was the beloved wife of I.S. `Nelson` Guerriere for the past 66 years. She was the loving mother of sons Dr . Cilio Guerriere and wife, Carol; Nelson Guerriere and wife, Linda; and daughter Yvonne Diez and husband Albert. MORRIS, Thomas F., 78, of Zephyrhills, passed away on July 29, 2003. Born in Brooklyn, New York and moved here 13 years ago from Brooklyn, Mr. Morris was a train dispatcher for the New York Transportation Authority and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and Past Commander of VFW Post #930 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Survivors include his wife, Joan Morris of Zephyr hills; son, William Morris and wife, Janet of Leesburg, Va.; daughter, Kathleen Mankowski and husband, Matthew of Centereach, N.Y.; two grandchildren. ROBERTS, Kenneth `Kenny` B., 53, of Holiday, died Saturday, July 26, 2003 at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital in Tarpon Springs, Fla. He was born in Baker County, Fla. and moved to Holiday from Tarpon Springs in 1995 and to Tarpon Springs from Marietta, Fla. in 1967. He worked for the City of Tarpon Springs Road Maintenance Department for 20 years and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He a ttended Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church in Tarpon Springs. Survivors include companion, Levader Hayes of Holiday; three daughters, Regina Lynn Roberts of Holiday, Tammi Levett Boswell of Starke, Fla. and Charlotte Cole Garcia of Tarpon Springs; mother, Juanita Flukes of Tarpon Springs; brother, Jeffery Flukes of Tarpon Springs; four sisters, Mercedes Flukes of Clearwater, Roxann Flukes of Tarpon Springs, Casandra Scott of Holiday and Francine Mileage of Eustis, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Kral of New Port Richey; three sisters, Libby Zahrobsky of Berwyn, Ill., Tiz Vanek of McAffee, N.J. and Fay Vykruta of Chula Vista, Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held in Illinois.

TRUNDY, Virgina M., 70, of Zephyrhills, Florida, died on July 29, 2003 at home surrounded by her family. Gina was born in Searsport, Maine on January 16, 1933. She moved to Zephyrhills in 1995 from Belfast, Maine. Growing up, Gina was a member of the Rainbow Girls and later, the Eastern Star and a very active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 43. She was past President of the Auxilia ry from 1993 through 1995. In 1988 she was voted the Most Valuable Member. Gina and her husband, John were part of a delegation that went to Bangor Airport to meet the Troops returning from Desert Storm. Gina volunteered at Hospice House in Dade City. Gina was employed by the City of Belfast, as Tax Collector, from 1971 until she retired in April of 1994. She is survived by her husband, John R.; her daughter, Linda Warren Savage of Lewes, Delaware; her son, Jeffrey Warren and his, wife Mary of Randolph, Maine; step daughters, Carolyn Cannon of Northport, Maine, Jennie Dehler of Billings, Montana and Angela McDivitt of Monroe, Maine; step son, Maurice Trundy of Northport, Maine; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Barbara Sprague of Zellwood, Fla., Peggy Ungos of Vero Bea ch, Fla. and Catherine Carlisle of Belfast, Maine; one brother, E. Lee Jackson of Palermo, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 1, 2003 in the Chapel of Oakley Funeral Home, 36327 Highway 54, Zephyrhills, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Getchell officiating. CAPITANO, James Jr. `Sonny`, of Tampa, passed away on July 28, 2003. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, his `Angel` , Antoinette Vento Capitano. Preceded in death by his father, James Capitano, Sr.; he is also survived by his mother, Theresa (Tessie) Capitano; sister, Evelyn Ferreri and husband, Frank; his four children and their spouses: Cathy Sanchez and Alex, James, III and Patty, Theresa Fasani and Glenn, and Samuel and Dorine; his adoring grandchildren: Brittany and A.J. Sanchez, Linette, James, IV, and Patrick Capitano, Tessa, Daniel, and David Fasani, and Dominic Capitano; mother-in-law, Catherine Vento; sisters-in-law, June Vento, Cathy Hellner and husband Clay; brother-in-law, Sam Vento, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A native of Tampa, he previously co-owned and operated Metropolitan Drugs, Inc., with his father, James, Sr., who at the time of his death, was the oldest, practicing pharmacist in the state of Florida. In 1992, he founded Metropolitan Cigars, Inc. of Ybor City, of which he took great pride and joy at its flourishing and success. He was a member of the Ybor City Optimist Club and a past charter member of The Krewe of the Knights of San't Yago. The friendships, camaraderie, and memories that were built throughout his life will be the comforting arms that will embrace all who knew and loved him, as they reflect on these memories with each other. For that's the way it is. We love, we share, and we remember. And yes, we cry, for ourselves, because we can build no more, but take comfort and laugh, when we think of Sonny, our devoted and beloved husband, son, brother, father, Nano, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and dear friend. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at one o'clock at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, corner of W. Hillsborough Ave. and N. Himes Ave., with Monsignor Laurence E. CLARKE, S. George, 84 died July 27, 2003. He retired as Director of Fla. Div. of Mental Health-Alcohol Abuse. Prior to that he was Presbyterian Minister. He was a member of Rotary Intl., A Paul Harris Fellow, Masonic Temple, Shrine, Phi Alpha Theta, Newfoundland Society, AARP, Friends of the Library and Ministerial Association. He was treasurer of DUI, AARP and Friends of Library. His wife Louise; children Jeanne Marton, Donna Thursby and Richard Clarke; grandchildren Mike Thursby, Carrie Epperson and Cathy Richter; great-grandsons, Harley and Max Thursby; sisters Alvina Clark and Ida Gallant and nieces and nephews, survive him. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at Temple Terrace Presbyterian at 2 p.m.

CONNER, Yokoma Foya `Chuck`, age 78, of Valrico took the hand of his daughter Connie Conner and entered into the kingdom of heaven on July 26, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Gisela Cepero Conner; his brother, Moya T. Conner (Billie), his children; Betty Miller (Preston), Naomi K. Sorensen (Norm), Leon F. Conner (Carolyn); stepchildren, Wayne K. Nunez (Palmira) and Cheryl Sanchez-Sivers (Daniel). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sharon Phungglan, Joann Squires, Annamarie Del Rosario, Tammie Hogg, Anthony Macedo, Jacob Conner, Jason Conner, Joseph Conner, Monica Nunez-Patterson and Derek Sivers, Chuck was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Brandon Hospital for the wonderful care he received. Special thanks is also given to the Pearl team at LifePath Hospice House in Sun City Center for ensuring his comfort at the end and for the support they gave to his family. A Memorial service celebrating his life will be held 2 p.m. August 2, 2003 at the Stowers Brandon Chapel, Brandon, FL. He golfed in many Pro/AM tournaments while he lived in California. He tried to help all those he met and all who loved him will miss him.

DANCO, William R., 72, of Tampa, passed away July 27, 2003. A native of Rosswell, Ohio, Bill lived in the Tampa area for over 50 years. A UF grad and lifetime Gator, he was a CPA, Korean War veteran, and avid movie fan. He was preceded in death by his father, John Danco and his mother, Helen Glass. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Danco; brother, Ernest Danco of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Agnes Bolinger and husband Lee of Maryville, Tenn; daughter, Linda MacGregor and husband Jim of Atlanta; sons, Steve Danco and wife Sharon of Tampa, Tom Danco and wife Karen of Kensington, Md. and John Danco of Valrico; and eight grandchildren. He is also mourned by Kathy Getz of Atlanta and Judi O'Dell and husband Keith of Valrico. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2003 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa. Bill will be honored with a military memorial service to be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2003 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
