FREDERICK J. CAROLAN II, 62, of Palm Harbor died Saturday at Helen Ellis Hospital in Tarpon Springs. A native of New York City, he moved to this area in 1990 from Deer Park, N.Y. He was a machine shop foreman and chef, Catholic and a member of the Italian-American Club of Clearwater. He is survived by his wife, Ginger; a daughter, Debra; a son, Frederick J.; two brothers, John of Orlando and Edward of New York; and three sisters, Grace Petrara of Marlboro, N.J., Kitty Novack of West Babylon, N.Y., and Rosemary Stallone of Lindenhurst, N.Y. VIRGINIA B. HALL, 80, of Dunedin died Sunday at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. A native of Bath, Mich., she moved to this area in 1975 from Lansing, Mich. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dunedin and the Society of Mayflower Descendants. PAULA D. JONASSON, 88, of Clearwater died Friday at Dunedin Care Center. A native of Rendsburg, Germany, she moved to this area in 1960 from Wantagh, N.Y. She was a salad chef at Bill Irle's, formerly known as Gay's Restaurant, and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Clearwater. She is survived by three daughters, Edith M. Pallmann of Beaver Dams, N.Y., H. Kathe Sheppard of Clearwater and Carol Thompson of Mesa, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 10 foster children. FILOMENA MANCUSO, 81, of Palm Harbor died Friday at Palm Garden of Clearwater. A native of Hoboken, N.J., she moved to this area in 1988 from Lindenhurst, N.Y. She is survived by two nieces, Frances Profeta of Palm Harbor and Natalie Farrish of Englewood; and two nephews, John Campanella of Palm Harbor and Anthony Campanella of North Babylon, N.Y. WILLIAM R. SHAW, 63, of Palm Harbor died Friday at Mease-Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor. A native of Forest Hills, Pa., he moved to this area in 1979 from Pittsburgh. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 400 in Dunedin. He is survived by his wife, Arlene; four daughters, Karen Sansone and Laura Costello, both of San Diego, Linda L.
