LOUISE TUCKER HARDY
Louise Hardy, retired teacher, died Wednesday morning Sept. 22, 1999, at her home in Panama City, Fla. She was 91. Born Louise Ellen Tucker, on July 30, 1908, in Haverhill, Mass., she spent her young life in Merrimac, Mass., where she graduated from high school. Following her graduation from Merrimac High, Louise attended Framingham Normal School where she received her teacher's certificate. She taught elementary school during the Depression years in Seabrook, N.H., and Merrimac, Mass., following in the footsteps of her mother, Anne Hosford Tucker, former Superintendent of Schools in Merrimac. On June 30, 1930, Louise married her high school sweetheart, Malcolm Lewis Hardy, who had come to Merrimac from Hope Farm in Goshen, Vt., near Bradford, Vt. They moved to Tarrytown, N.Y., in 1938 where her husband started his career in aviation and learned to fly. In 1942 they moved to Waynesboro, Pa., during which time their son Lewis was born and they purchased the local airport. Throughout World War II they operated a Naval Air training program at the airport. After her husband's death in 1953, Louise returned to teaching in the Waynesboro School Districts and taught there until her retirement in 1975. Following her retirement, she moved to Panama City to be near her son. Louise was a great collector of books on a wide range of subjects. She was a prolific writer and her many friends and family will remember receiving her notes written in perfect penmanship. Family genealogy was a passion and her research took her to all corners of New England. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favored charity. A graveside service will be held at Upper Plains Cemetery in Bradford, Vt., at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26. Louise will be buried there with her husband and infant daughter, Lois Anne Hardy. She is survived by one son, Lew Hardy and wife Gayle of Panama City Beach; grandchildren: Doug Hardy and his wife Paula and Michelle Faulkner and her husband Joey, all of Birmingham, Ala., Lyn Phillips and Jared Phillips and his wife Patricia, all of Panama City Beach; great-grandchildren: Samuel S. Hardy and Scott Hardy, both of Birmingham and L.J. Phillips of Panama City Beach; and a niece, Joyce Tucker Silberling and her husband Robert of Thousand Oaks, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother, Elsworth Tucker.

MICHAEL ANTHONY LOWERY
Mr. Michael Anthony Lowery, 41, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Port St. Joe, he served in the National Guard, and was a member of the Church of God in Christ. Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lowery Sr. Survivors include his mother, Ruth S. Lowery; his grandmother, Laura Skanes; his children: Tomica Lowery; Tequlilla Lowery, Lequlilla Scott, Teleshia Colvin, Sharita Lowery, Nakita Lowery, and Craig Lowery; one grandchild; his brothers and sisters: Carolyn (Clarence) Horne, Gwendolyn Lowery, Linda Myers, Sandra (Robert) Bryant, Elaine Addison, and Bradley Lowery Jr.; special friends: Michael Speights, Michael Jefferson, Marvin Benjamin, Eddie McKiney, Gene Hill, and Henry Hogue; and a host of friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Church of God in Christ, with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. He will lie in state at the church today from 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. until funeral time.

LEONA (BUNNY) MAHLER
Mrs. Leona (Bunny) Mahler, born in Nashville, Tenn., died on Sept. 22, 1999. She moved to Wewahitchka in 1979. Mrs. Mahler was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, a chemist with W. R. Grace Co., and taught in Nashville area schools. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, vice-regent of St. Joseph Bay Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a member of Wewahitchka Womens Club. She is survived by her husband, George of Wewahitchka; her daughter, Elizabeth of Destin; two sons: Dr. Fred W. Mahler of Nashville and Dr. George S. Mahler of Greenville, S.C. Services and burial will be in Nashville on Sept. 25. Local services are provided by Comforter Funeral Home.

MARIE PREZIOSI
Marie Preziosi, of Lynn Haven, died Tuesday, September 21, 1999, at Gulf Coast Hospital. Marie was born in Southhampton, N.Y., on Aug. 30, 1963. She was a March of Dimes poster child for the Eastern Suffolk Co. N.Y. chapter in 1965. Marie attended elementary schools on Long Island, N.Y., and in Chipping Norton and Upper Heyford, England. She graduated from Holy Nativity Episcopal School, and was a 1981 honors graduate of Mosley High School. She attended Gulf Coast Community College, Hillsbourough Community College and was a graduate of Florida State University, Tallahassee. While attending college she was a volunteer at the University of South Florida Medical School and at Gulf Coast Hospital. She was a former dispatcher for the Lynn Haven Police Department, and was currently employed at Sallie Mae as a customer service representative. Marie was also self-employed as an independent beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Marie leaves her parents, Al and Jo Preziosi, of Lynn Haven; sisters: Adele Preziosi of Sacramento, Calif., and Barbara Rahl of Lynn Haven; brothers: Patrick Preziosi and wife Julie of Fort Mitchell, Ky., and Allan and wife Joanna of Panama City; nieces: Claire Preziosi, Sophia Preziosi, Katie Rahl, Gianna Preziosi, Lindy Preziosi, Alana Preziosi; nephews: Sidney Van Ness, Chris Rahl and Alex Rahl and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She wilI be memorialized this evening, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Lynn Haven with the Rev. Fred Keith officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marie Preziosi Memorial Fund at First Presbyterian Church, 810 Georgia Ave. Lynn Haven, Fla., 32444 or to your favorite charity in her name.

Isa A. Ramilo, age 88, of National City, Calif., was laid to rest Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Panama City. Graveside services were conducted by Father Marty Bratek, St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church and Pastor Ron Ball, Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Little Chapel of the Roses, Glenn Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita, Calif., with Father Louis Fischer officiating. Mrs. Ramilo died Saturday, Sept. 4, at Balboa Naval Hospital, San Diego, Calif. She was born May 14, 1911, in the Philippines and had been a U.S. resident since 1972. Survivors include two sons: Iluminado Alcarez of San Diego, Calif., and Manolo Guillamun of Manila, Philippines; five daughters: Norma Hassell of Orlando, Zenaida Hoffman of Glendale, Ariz., Olivia Baber of Panama City, Pros Gill of Twentynine Palms, Calif., Alicia Fajardo of Manila, Philippines. Mrs. Ramilo leaves behind 28 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. The family thanks friends in California, Florida, and the Philippines for the flowers, cards, letters, and expressions of sympathy extended during their time of grief.

Mr. William Ben Taylor, Sr., age 97, of 2008 1/2 2nd Plaza, Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at his daughter's home. He had been a resident of the area for 85 years, coming here from Graceville, Fla. Mr. Taylor was a commercial fisherman and attended Callaway Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his daughters: Margaret Hall of Panama City, Fla., Mary Taylor Pickles and her husband Robert of Cooks Bayou, Martha Melvinia Taylor Cottrell and her husband Shannon of Panama City, and Marie Elizabeth Smith and her husband George of Youngstown; sons: William Ben Taylor Jr. and his wife Carol of Youngstown, Dallas Winniard Taylor and his wife Marie of Apalachicola, Carlos Stephen Taylor and his wife JoAnn of Callaway, and Marty Donowan Taylor and his wife Lisa of Panama City; brothers and sisters: Harvey Taylor of Parker, Molly Millirons and Anna Lee Peoples, both of Panama City, and Beatrice Crews of Starke; sister-in-law, Claudia Dowdy of Panama City; nineteen grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., today, Sept. 24 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Dewey Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: William Ben Taylor III, Dallas Winniard Taylor Jr., Marty Donowan Taylor Jr., Robert Pickles Jr., William Harvey Sapp Jr. and Stephen Wood. Honorary pallbearers will include: Taylor nephews, Millirons nephews, Fulghums nephews, Peoples nephews, Thomas McFatter, William Castor Jr., and Carlos Stephen Taylor. The family will will be staying at the house of Mr. Taylor's daughter, Martha Cottrell, 300 Mercedes Ave., Panama City, FL, phone 785-2840.

Deacon Earlie Lee Baker, 50, of 1621 Fortune Ave., died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999 in a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Panama City. Funeral services for Deacon Baker will be held today, Sept. 25 at noon in Jesus Only Tabernacle Church with Bishop Earl Parchia officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. Mr. John Curtis Coleman, 66, of 916 Helen Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999 at a local hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held today, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. in New Beginnings Assembly of Saints Church, 662 Cone Ave., Panama City, Fla., with the Rev. Alphonso Williams officiating. Fred Martin Luck, 69, of Panama City, died September 22, 1999 in a local hosptial. He was a retired aircraft mechanic for U.S. Air. He had been a resident of Panama City for 6 years moving here from New York. He was a member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge 347 of Westmoreland, N.Y., a lifetime member of the VFW of Fultonville, N.Y., Zyra Shrine Temple of Utica, N.Y., and was a graduate of Fonda High School, Fonda, N.Y. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, where he received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He is survived by a son, Harold Luck of Callaway; three daughters: Melinda Abraham of Rome, N.Y., Deanna Cary of Kathleen, Ga., and Darlene Luck of Greenwich, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald Luck of Rochester, N.Y. Memorial services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Wright officiating. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Masons, Shriners, or the VFW in memory of Mr. Luck.

Mr. Jackie L. Pitts, age 65, of 2417 E. 34th Place, Panama City, Fla., died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999 at his home. He had been a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Pitts was a millwright for the Millwright Local Union No. 2471. He also was Pentecostal by faith and a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1389 of Panama City, Fla. Mr. Pitts is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Pitts of Panama City, Fla.; daughters: Jackqueline Dubrule and her husband Frenchie of Clewiston, Fla., Gwendolyn Pitts Langston and her husband Ellis and Kalissa Pitts Winter and her husband Bill, all of Panama City, Fla.; sons: Jackie Keith Pitts of Mobile, Ala., and Dan Mark Pitts of Panama City, Fla.; sisters: Evelyn Stancel and her husband Tommy of Port St. Joe, Fla., and Katie Loveland and her husband Morris of Burlington, N.J.; brothers: Billy W. Pitts and his wife Mary, Dalton Paul Pitts and his wife Bobbie Jo and Wayne M. Pitts, all of Panama City, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. AMOS WILLIAM VAN DYKE
Mr. Amos William Van Dyke, 80, of Panama City, died Friday morning, Sept. 24, 1999 in a local nursing home. Mr. Van Dyke was a man of many talents. During his lifetime he was a merchant marine, saw combat in World War II as a master chief in the Navy and Vietnam as a civilian consultant. He attained a law degree practicing law in Atlanta, Ga., and was appointed Lt. Colonel, Aide De Camp, to Gov. Lester Maddox. He was also a Navy photographer at the NCSC and was a professional photographer and a writer for the Florida Anglers Society. Mr. Van Dyke is preceded in death by his wife, Lovere Marie, whom he adored. He left no known family except for a beloved sister-in-law, Louise Keller of West Virginia. He will be missed by his friends and adopted family, Michael and Phyllis Kidd and his associates in the Shriners of Bay County. Memorilization will be by cremation. Anyone desiring to make a donation may send it to the Shriners Crippled Children's Fund or the Shriners Burn Hospital for Children.

Mrs. Patricia Michelle "Micky" McLemore, 35, of 806 N. Ninth Plaza, Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at a local hospital. She had been a life-long resident of the area and attended Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. McLemore was an aid for the Bay County School Board. She is survived by her husband Willis T. McLemore of Panama City; a daughter Mariah Kathleen Newsom of Panama City; a sister Florence Love and her husband Mark of Hosford, Fla.; a half-brother Pat Cook of Tampa, Fla.; special care givers, Steve and Debbie Szulczynski and Jim and Dee Haney. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mr. Steve Szulczynski, Mr. Jim McLemore, Mr. John Haney, Mr. Jim Haney, Mr. Garry Brendle and Mr. Joe Jegg. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bay County School Transportation Dept., and special friends. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Sept. 26, from 6 until 8 p.m.
