Mrs. Ida Lee Oliver Griner, 81, of Havana, Fla., passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999. Mrs. Griner was a homemaker and member of Pine Level Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Griner; son, Bobby J. Griner; parents, Sarah Mamie Boutwell and D.C. Oliver Sr. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law: Lois and Jimmy Yarbor of Panama City, Cathy West of Albany, Ga.; son and daughters-in-law: Bill and Dianne Griner of Cairo, Ga., and Gerrie Griner of Havana, Fla.; brothers, Robert and Bernie Oliver of Albany, Ga.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today, Oct. 2, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Cairo, Ga., with the Rev. Stephen Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Level Cemetery.

GOMER W. HUGHES SR.
Mr. Gomer W. Hughes Sr., 82, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Thursday afternoon, Sept. 30, 1999 at his home. Born in Glassport, Penn., he moved here in 1981 from Glastonbury, Conn. He was a retired engineer and was a member of Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church where he was a church elder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a 32nd degree mason. Mr. Hughes is preceded in death by his mother and father, Margaret Morgan Williams and George W. Hughes; a nephew, Edwin "Rick" Gilmore Jr. and a sister, Elizabeth Larson. He is survived by his wife, Helen Hughes of Panama City Beach; one son, Gomer Hughes Jr. of East Hartford Conn.; one daughter, Marjorie Parker of Panama City Beach; one brother, George Hughes of Reno, Nev.; four sisters: Helen Gilmore of Panama City Beach, Alice Doering of La Habra Calif., Helene Hughes of Los Altos, Calif., and Evelyn Geraci of Santa Clara, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Elly Hughes of Marlborough, Conn.; nephews: Douglas Gilmore and wife Lorraine, Robert Gilmore and wife Arlene Zacher, all of Panama City Beach; eight grandchildren: Michael Best, James Best, Kelly Battistini and husband Daniel, Steven Hughes and wife Christine, Jennifer Hughes and William Parker III; great-grandchildren: Karen Best, Amber Best, Nicholas Battistini, Danielle Battistini and Kalen Hughes. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. in Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. military honors will be conducted at graveside. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers: Michael Best, Steven Hughes, William Parker, Daniel Battistini, Douglas Gilmore and Robert Gilmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Burke and Edward Schoppe. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Pythagoras Masonic Lodge No. 358 will conduct a Masonic service at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church, 271 S. Hwy. 79, Panama City Beach, FL 32413 or to the Hospice of Northwest Florida in memory of Mr. Hughes.

ADRIAN JAMES
Adrian James, 58, of Apalachicola, Fla., died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City. A native of Georgia, Mr. James had worked in the seafood industry. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and was Pentacostal Holiness by faith. He is survived by his wife, Sue James of Apalachicola; two sons, Steve James and Greg James, both of Apalachicola; his mother, Maxie James of Panama City; one sister, Marlene Hanson of Panama City; and five grandchildren. Family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. EST today, Oct. 2, at Kelley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. EST Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Church of God in Eastpoint. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Apalachicola.

BARBARA JUDITH CORRY JONES
Mrs. Barbara Judith Corry Jones, age 65, of 2617 Albert Ave., Panama City Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999 in Prattville, Ala., as a result of an automobile accident. She had been a resident of the area for 33 years, coming here from Hawaii. Mrs. Jones was a retired school teacher with the Bay County School System. She was also a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church and the Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles Robert Jones, and a brother, Harold Corry. Mrs. Jones is survived by her loving family: a daughter, Angela Sullivan and her beloved and special son-in-law Ernie of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a son, Bob Jones of Panama City Beach, Fla.; grandson, Robert E. Sullivan of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a granddaughter, Judith Ann Sullivan of Panama City Beach, Fla.; sisters: Betty Jo Dabbs and her husband Fred of Hueytown, Ala., Jean Douglas and her husband Carl of Sylvan Springs, Ala., Joyce Smith and her husband Rod of Weddington, N.C. and Janet Corry Robinson of Panama City Beach, Fla.; brother, Franklin Corry and his wife Nell of Dublin, Ga.; and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Corry of Jasper, Ala. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today, Oct. 2, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Dan Robinson, James Harold Corry, Chaz Mormile, David Dawson, Roy Minor and Shane Naugher. Honorary pallbearer will include Joey Stallings.

EMMMA JANE MCCRAY
Emma Jane McCray, 93, departed this life on Sept. 28, 1999. The late Emma Jane McCray was born Sept. 20, 1906 to the late John and Blanche Jones in Clio, Ala. She married in 1923 to Lemmie Lee McCray, and later moved to Panama City, Fla., where she joined First Mt. Moriah and later became a member of Second Mt. Moriah where she served as a Deaconess. She was preceded in death by her four children and husband. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter-in-law, Margret McCray; her grandchildren: Kenneth W. McCray, Veronica Putnam of Orlando, Fla., Alvin McCray (Patricia), Melvin McCray (Kim), Gwendolyn Jackson (Isiah), Cynthia Anderson (Eric), Sydney McCray (Bonita), David McCray (Coffey), Tyrone McCray (Ella), Darryl McCray (Felicia) Micheal McCray (Diane), Gerald Daniels, Debbie Daniels of New York City and Marian Streeter (Earl); sister-in-laws: Ruth Roenblade, Lizzie Wilson and Essie B. Green; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a close friend, Vivian Cannon. Funeral services for Mrs. McGray will be held Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. at Second Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. R.A. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Redwood Cemetery. Mr. Gerald Milton "Jerry" Miller, age 52, of 906 Arkansas Ave., Lynn Haven, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999 at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1970, coming here from Ocean Springs, Miss., and was Protestant by faith. Mr. Miller served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a marine mechanic for the Lighthouse Marina. He is survived by his wife, Karen Miller of Lynn Haven, Fla.; mother, Mary W. Miller of Ocean Springs, Miss.; children: Tony Miller of Ocean Springs, Miss., Michael Miller and his wife Lisa of Mobile, Ala., Donald Miller and his wife Anita and Tina Lamonica and her husband Mike, all of Panama City, Fla., and Denise Pierson and her husband Steve of Montgomery, Ala.; step-sons: Carroll Trivett Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Panama City, Fla., Craig Trivett of England and Clay Trivett of Panama City, Fla.; brothers: Joe Miller and his wife Janet and Bill Miller and his wife Brenda, all of Ocean Springs, Miss.; sisters: Rose Marie Vail and her husband Herschel and Ann Miller, all of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Annie Ree Farrior "Kid" Whitehurst, 86, of 1808 E. 7th St., died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999 in a local hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Whitehurst will be held today, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. in New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Temolia Youngblood officiating. Interment to follow in Redwood Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church today from 10 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 1808 E. 7th St.

DOROTHY 'DOT' WILLIS
Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Willis, 83, of 518 Maine Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Friday morning, Oct. 1, 1999 in a local hospital. Born in Dale Co., Ala., she moved here in 1948 from Ozark, Ala. She was a retired seamtress from Wextex Garment Co. and was a member of Central Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Willis is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Pearson Willis, and a son, W.E. Willis. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Leach and husband Wayne of Panama City; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Willis of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; one great-granddaughter, Julie Willis of Gulf Breeze; two grandsons: Bill Willis Jr. and wife Cindy of Petal, Miss., David Willis and wife Debbie of Frisco City, Ala.; four great-grandchildren: Dalana, Jennifer and David Willis II and B.J. Willis. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. in Southerland Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Shoots officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. THOMAS R. DAVIS
Mr. Thomas R. Davis, 52, of Panama City, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of this area and was a lock operator with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was also Methodist by faith. He was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Davis. He is survived by his wife Judy Davis; parents Norton and Lucille Davis; son Wes Davis, all of Panama City; two daughters, DeDe Lester and husband Mark of Panama City and Allison Davis of Lynn Haven; a brother Curtis Huggins and wife Mickey of Altha, Fla.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted Monday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Newberry officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Southerland Family Funeral Home.

ROBERT A. DOCKO
Mr. Robert A. Docko, 54, of Panama City, Fla., died Saturday morning, Oct. 2, 1999, at his residence. After his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, he went to work for Wellstream where he was a maintenance director. He was also Baptist by faith. Mr. Docko is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Docko and son Jason Lee Docko. He is survived by his mother Mrs. Helen Caines of Ellington, Conn.; two sons, John Docko of Shippensburg, Penn., and Robert Docko II of Panama City; a sister Carolyn Docko of Connecticut; and nine grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later.
