Williams of Panama City; two sisters, Marshavia Williams and Marcia Williams; and one brother, Jabaros Holmes; grandmothers, Catherine Manning and Helen (Ron) Ganga-Sing; grandfathers, Jessie Ackron and Marshall Williams; uncles, Travis Daniels and Jabbar Manning; aunts, Kenyatta Ackron and Tamika Ackron; great-grandmothers, Rosie Cannon and Marie Johnson; great aunts, Brenda (Jeffery) Critenden, Jeanett (Bobby) Floyd, Annie Ruth Brundidge (Jerome Brown), Phyllis Daniels, Willie Mae Ceasar, Carolyn (Keith) Williams, Tenna (Phillip) Randall, Rosetta (Michael) Rayburn, Diane Waddell, Edye Mae Pope, Shirley Arthur Ross, Quillar Ceasar, Teresa (Walas) Langs, Cynthia Langs and Ann Williams; great-great aunt, Mary Lee Mitchell; great uncles, Joseph Daniels, Carl (Luna) Daniels, Phillip Daniels, Leon Johnson, Nathaniel (Lena) Johnson, James (Patricia) Ceasar, Thomas (Amanda) Williams, John (Tina) Barnes, Josephus Williams Jr.; great-great-grandmothers, Mattie Ruby Ceasar, Mary Lizzie Ceasar (deceased) and Elizabeth Daniels; godparents, Cynthia Oates and Sheldon Oates and Brenda Showls and Chip Showls; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Infant Marshya Sharnelle Lynette Williams will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. L. David Glover officiating. Burial to follow in the Lynn Haven Community Cemetery. The remains will lie in state from 9 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 2508 Minnesota Ave., Apt. F-224.

Mrs. Sarah M. Ball, 94, born Sept. 5, 1905, departed this life Oct. 16, 1999. Homegoing service will be held Friday, Oct. 22, 1999 at Benboe's Funeral Home, 416 W. Wright St., Pensacola, Fla., at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call one hour prior to service, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Oct. 22.

BILLIE M. HALL
Billie M. Hall (Suter), age 69, passed away Oct. 16, 1999, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Billie was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Marvel, Ala., daughter of Lemuel and Dora Lee Groggins. Billie was head majorette at Montevallo High School. She led the inaugural parade for the governor in Montgomery, Ala., in 1947. Billie married Alton L. Hall and they had four children. Billie and Alton moved to Marietta where she was a beautician for many years. She loved dancing and sang beautifully. She and Al later retired to Panama City Beach, Fla. Billie loved fishing and crabbing. Billie loved everybody and all loved her for her sense of humor and feisty attitude. After Al passed away Billie remained in Panama City Beach for several years and spent the last few years in Salt Lake City with her son, Ed and daughter, Lynda. Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Alton; sister, Gene; brother, Larry "DOC" Goggins; and son, Kenneth Wayne Hall. Billie is survived by two sisters, Shirley Thompson of Pea Ridge, Ala., and Sue Castleberry of Carrolton, Ga.; two sons, Alton L. Hall Jr. of Jemison, Ala., Edward H. Hall Sr. and daughter, Lynda Hall both of Salt Lake City. Billie was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grand-children that she loved dearly. The grandchildren are: Todd Hall, Edward H. Hall Jr., Carmen Williams, Amber Edmund, Chelsea Hall, Larry Pierce, Kenny Sweat, Joshuah Hall, Cody Hall and Payton Hall. The great-grandchildren are: Scott Williams, Alex Williams and Ali Hall. Billie loved life and will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her. Those can only be grateful for the time she shared with us and the life she so eagerly embraced. Funeral services will be held at Rocco's Funeral Home in Montevallo, Ala., on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. The viewing will be Friday, Oct. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m.

EFFIE D. LIGHTSEY
Mrs. Effie D. Lightsey, 90, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 19, 1999 in a local nursing home. Born in North Carolina, she moved here in 1933 from Chattahoochee, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church. Mrs. Lightsey is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clifford C. Lightsey Sr., a grandson, Clifford Earl Brown and two brothers, O.J. Pierce and Van Pierce. She is survived by two sons, Clifford C. Lightsey Jr. and wife Elfriede and Robert E. Lightsey and wife Margurete all of Panama City; two daughters, Audrey Lightsey of Panama City Beach and Ida Mae Brown of Panama City; one brother, Nathan Pierce and wife Louise of Punta Gorda, Fla.; one sister, Lillian Wise and husband Austin of Savannah, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Margo Pierce of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Marge Milligan of Charleston, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 9 p.m.

DOROTHY MADDOX
Dorothy Maddox, 89, of Marianna, died Sunday night, Oct. 17, 1999 in Akron, Ohio following a brief illness. A native of Ormond Beach, Fla., she grew up in Homestead and moved to Marianna in the late 1930s. She and her husband Woody founded Maddox Funeral Home, where she continued to work full time until shortly before her death. Mrs. Maddox was a Past Worthy Matron and fifty year member of Eastern Star Marianna Chapter No. 129. She was a member of Past Matron and Patrons Club, Mystic Ladies Club, Ladies of the Elks Club No. 1516 and the Wednesday Night Canasta Club. She became a member of First United Methodist Church in Marianna in 1939, was an active member of Friendship Club, Friendly Helpers Sunday School Class and the Golden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodson (Woody) A. Maddox in 1974. She is survived by two brothers, J.W. Conner of Melbourne and Thurman Conner of Pinellas Park, Fla.; three sisters: Louise Rogers of Akron, Ohio, Lois Jones of Sun City, Fla., and Marjorie McMahon of Canyon Lake, Calif.; 10 nieces and nephews: Sandra Lafferty, Reha Amigone, Patricia Keefe, James Gladieux, Deborah Conner, Gary Conner, Thomas Conner, Keith Conner, Michael McMahon and Rodney McMahon; extended family: Leland James, Sue Brock, Brenda Gibson, Steve James, Sadie Harris and Dorothy Padgett. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Frank Hyles officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens with James and James Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel of Marianna directing. An Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today, Oct. 21 at Maddox Chapel and the family will continue receiving friend until 9 p.m.

CHARLES ADRIAN ADAMS
Mr. Charles Adrian Adams, age 75, of the Carr Community died Wednesday in the Blountstown Health and Rehab. Center. Mr. Adams was born in Ozark, Ala., and was a retired radio technician with the Department of Transportation. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Eulene Adams of Carr Community; one daughter, Susan Adams of Carr Community; three brothers: Lowell Adams of Panama City, Darrell Adams of Carr Community and Willie Jeff Adams of Fort Lauderdale; two sisters: Evelyn Attaway and Marlene Holley of Carr Community. Funeral services will be held today, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. in Travelers Rest Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Derek Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Adams Funeral Home of Blountstown directing. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Grace Bolware Nelson, 90, of 2140 E. Eighth Court died Friday Oct. 15, 1999, at her home. She was a native of Alexander City, Ala., and a resident of Panama City, for many years. She was preceded in death by three children: Grady Nelson, Lucky Nelson and Rufus Nelson Sr.; and a grandson, Rufus Nelson Jr. She is survived by two daughters: Ruth Harrell of Carol City, and Grace Spencer (Willie) of Miami; a son, Len Nelson (Beatrice) of Panama City; nineteen grandchildren: Grady Nelson (Martha), Linda Oliver, Gladys Seabrooks, Elizabeth Smith, Sonia Broxton (Duane), Nathan Smith and Len Nelson all of Panama City, Carolyn Lupkins, Debra Henley, Nelson Harrell, Margetta Spencer, Daryl Spencer, Willie Spencer and Bennie L. Spencer all of Miami, Connie Davis (Herman) of Pelham, Ga., Jimmie Harrell of Pensacola, and Linda Clark (Michael) of Beaufort, S.C.; two sisters-in-law: Willie Mae Bolware and Inez Bolware both of Panama City; 36 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson will be held Saturday Oct. 23, 1999, at l p.m. in the Neals Temple First Born Church with Jr. Bishop Willey McQueen officiating. Interment to follow in Redwood Cemetery. The remains will repose at the Church this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 2140 E. Eighth Court.

LILLIAN MOYE
Mrs. Lillian Moye, 84, of 123 Detroit Ave., Springfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999 at her home. She was a native of Jackson County, Fla. She accepted Christ at an early age. She moved to Panama City in the early 1930s. She married John Martin and to this union two children were born. Redell and Fred both preceded her in death. She united with First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church during the pastorate of the late Rev. Charles P. Price. She married Willie Moye Oct. 15, 1973, who also preceded her in death. Sister Moye leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Gussie Gainer of Panama City, and one brother, Raymond West of Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Dewey Cromartie and Devan Cromartie both of Cleveland, Ohio, Pamela Cromartie of Germany, Fred, Frankie and Eric Martin of the Carolinas and Forest Martin of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Ricky and Russell Brown preceded her in death; 22 grandchildren, many many great-great-grandchildren; one niece who she raised as her daughter, Shirely McLeod; many other nieces and nephews and other relatives; two sisters-in-law, Jessie M. West and Katherine West; and a very devoted friend and neighbor, Bertha M. Johnson. Funeral services for Mrs. Moye will be held today, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. in First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Harper, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10 a.m. this morning. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. The family will receive friends at 123 Detroit Ave., Springfield.
