Funeral service for Mr. Randall Lynn Carr, age 34, of 129 Arlington Dr., Panama City, Fla., who passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at his residence, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 25, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Rogers and Brother Pete Boyette officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mr. Johnny W. Carr I, Mr. Johnny W. Carr II, Mr. Vincent Paul Carr, Mr. Chris Kline, Mr. Robbie Sirmon and Mr. Michael H. Kohler.

ARTHUR VANCE HOOKS JR.
Arthur Vance Hooks Jr., 77, of Panama City, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999. Mr. Hooks was born in Charlotte, N.C. He graduated from Clemson University and served in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a Veteran of World War II. He was an instructor at Fort Belvoir and author of one of the Engineering books there. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 34 years. Mr. Hooks began his railroad career with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Mr. Hooks moved to Dothan, Ala., in 1955 as assistant to the president of the Bay Line Railroad. He moved to Panama City in 1965 as vice-president of the Bay Line, assuming the office of president in 1968. He retired from the Bay Line in 1987 as chairman of the board, president and CEO. He spent his entire career in railroading, with the exception of 1975-1979 when he assumed the responsibilities of general manager of Worldwide Transportation with International Paper Co. in New York City, N.Y. His achievements include being president of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, president of the Committee of 100, president of the Gulf Coast Community College Foundation and president of the Local Chapter of the American Red Cross. He served as a member of the board of directors of the Shortline Railways Association, Sunshine Jr. Stores and Commercial Bank of Panama City among others. He was a member of the Downtown Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of the Who's Who of American Businessmen. Mr. Hooks is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mildred J. Hooks; his children, Linda H. Brennan and husband, Jimmy of Montgomery, Ala., Gayle H. Greenwood and husband, Jim of Atlanta, Ga., A. Vance Hooks and wife, Karen, Henry T. Hooks and wife, Bess, all of Panama City; his brother, Kenneth L. Hooks and wife, Betty of Columbia, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a niece and nephew. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Doug Newton and Dr. Si Mathison officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions in Mr. Hooks name can be made to the First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund or the American Red Cross.

ARMETTA J. MCMULLON
Funeral service for Mrs. Armetta J. McMullon, age 79, of 3700 E. 14th. St., Panama City, Fla., who passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 1999, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Straightway Christian Ministries Church with the Rev. Sammy Stewart, the Rev. J.W. Hunt, and the Rev. Sammy Spence officiating, with interment following at the Lynn Haven Cemetery. CLORA DEAN 'KITTY' McNARON
Mrs. Clora Dean "Kitty" McNaron, 72, of 5000 W. 18th St., Panama City, Fla., passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, in a local hospital. Mrs. McNaron had been a resident of Bay County since 1961, coming here from Tallahassee, Fla. She was Methodist by faith, member of the Panama City Pilot Club, the Junior Women's Club and was a retired secretary for Gulf Coast Community College for 33 years. Mrs. McNaron is survived by her sons, Mr. Mike McNaron and wife Libby of Lynn Haven, Fla., and Ricky McNaron of Pine Bluff, Ark.; stepbrother, Ricky Ponder of Pine Bluff; grandsons, Ricky McNaron II of Lynn Haven and Elton Wayne Kolmetz Jr. and wife Brandi of Panama City; a great-granddaughter, Angel Leigh Kolmetz of Panama City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel of Love with the Rev. Charles Key officiating. Entombment will follow. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Louise E. Rice, age 47, of Ringgold passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at a local hospital. Mrs. Rice lived most of her life in Panama City, Fla. She has lived in Ringgold for the last year. Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Reda Cox; and her sister, Teresa Leduc. Survivors include her husband, Jack Rice of Ringgold; two daughters, Linda Rice and Debbie Rice, both of Panama City, Fla.; four brothers, Jerry, David and Roger Leduc, all of New York, and Victor Leduc of Panama City. Funeral service will be today, Oct. 25, 1999, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Peter Reed officiating. The family wishes that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Wallis-Stewart Funeral Home of Ringgold is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Billy Franklin Reynolds was born July 4, 1935, and died Oct. 21, 1999, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Stella Reynolds of Niceville. Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley Mae "Cassidy" Reynolds of Mossy Head; son, David "D.D." Griggs and wife Vera Ann of Ponce de Leon, Fla.; daughters: Shirlon Turner and husband Donald of DeFuniak Springs, Rebecca J.R. Barker and husband Robert of Tallahassee, and Debbie Floyd and husband Harold of DeFuniak Springs; mother-in-law and father-in-law Dud and Loca Mae Cassidy of Ponce de Leon; brother, Buck Reynolds and wife Alvina of Port Arthur, Texas ; sisters: Joyce Crowley of Ponce de Leon, Eunice Flowers and husband Mack of Luverne, Ala., Margaret Kittrell and husband Lee of Fayetteville, N.C., and Flora Cagle and husband Ken of Tennessee; nine grandchildren: Billie Mae Jordan, Bernie "Benji" Rushing, Bradly Rushing, Bob Barker, Marti Wood, Drew Floyd, C.J. Griggs, Little Don Turner and Leslie Turner; two great-grandchildren, Jada Reynolds and Brett Turner; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 312 of Niceville for the past 26 years. He was a sergeant at Walton Correctional Institute for the past 10 years. Funeral service for Mr. Franklin Reynolds will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 25, in the Comander Funeral Home Chapel, 21 West Main St., DeFuniak Springs with the Rev. Kenny Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

MRS. EVA LEE WOOD
Mrs. Eva Lee Wood, 85, of Burgess Creek, passed away Sunday morning in Bay Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Calhoun County, she had been a resident of Gulf County for the past 67 years and was of the Protestant faith. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Joseph Wood of Burgess Creek; her children, James Broward Wood and wife, Barbara, of White City, Iduma Wingate and husband, Preston, of Mexico Beach, and Eleanor Strader and husband, Jack, of White City; six grandchildren, Phyllis Ahrent, Cyndi Ellzey, Paula Strickland, Charlie Wood, Alicia Whitfield and Dewayne Strader; seven great-grandchildren, Cody and Levi Strickland, Meghan and Ethan Ellzey, Zachrie and Julie Wood, and Jackie Whitfield; and one brother, James Bennett of Navarre. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday at the graveside in Holly Hill Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. David Nichols. Interment will follow. At her request, there will be no public viewing or visitation.

WOODROW CLARK
Woodrow Clark, age 86, of Panama City, died Monday, October 25, 1999, in his home. He was retired from International Paper Company. He was a native of Clarksville, Fla., and had been a resident of Panama City since 1942. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and the Quarter Century Club of International Paper Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Clark; sisters: Virginia Levins, Mahalia Lewis, Myrtice Spencer; brothers: Emory Clark, John Clark, Ben Clark, Walter Clark, Burton Clark, Champ Clark. He is survived by two daughters: Vivian Jewel of Anderson, S.C., Peggy Davis of Panama City, and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

EARL D. 'CHRIS' CHRISTENSEN
Lt. Commander Earl D. "Chris" Christensen, Retired, U. S. Navy, age 78, of 1217 Amherst Rd., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at his home. He had been a resident of the area since 1963 and was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Lt. Commander Christensen retired from the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Chapter 3 Pearl Harbor Survivors. He was also a volunteer for 12 years for the Red Cross with the Pharmacy at Tyndall AFB. Lt. Commander Christensen is survived by his wife, Anita Christensen of Panama City, Fla.; a loving and devoted daughter, Regina Sims of Panama City, Fla.; step-sons: Kent Lyles of Ft. Worth, Texas , and Daryl Lyles and his wife Sherry of Fountain, Fla.; and grandchildren: Brent Sims, Kristi Sims, Eric Lyles, Elise Lyles, Chad Lyles, and Christopher Lyles. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Msg. William A. Crowe and the Rev. Lewis Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military Honors accorded by the Coastal Systems Station. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Willis Morrison, Bill Hunter, David Riley, Vernon Dykes, Louis Ray, and Richard Coiner. Asked to serve as honorary pallbearers are: Chapter 3 Pearl Harbor Survivors, Staff of Satellite Pharmacy, and the American Red Cross Volunteers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Oct. 26, 1999, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Northwest Florida, 502 N. Mrs. Susie L. Elliott, 91, of 1904 Brown Ave., Panama City, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in a local hospital. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1970 moving here from Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Elliott was a retired cashier with the Federal Reserve and a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Annette Williams of Panama City; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Martha Clegg of Decatur, Ga., and Mrs. Marie Troutman of Baltimore, Md.; two nieces; and one great-niece, Amanda Morris of Decatur, Ga. Funeral services for Mrs. Elliott will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Brittan officiating. Interment will be in the College Park Cemetery in College Park, Ga.

Ronald Garland of Fountain. Mrs. McMullon and her husband raised five nieces: Mary, Pansy, Esther, Aline and Dianne; eight grandchildren: Tina Guynn, Julie Smith, Steve Garland, DeeDee Parker, David Lee McMullon Jr., Melanie Roesle, Jessica Holland and Katie Holland; seven great-grandchildren: Courtney Guynn, Cody Guynn, Scotty Parker, Joshua Garland, Ricky Garland, Joshua McMullon and David Lee McMullon III. She is preceded in death by her husband Charlie McMullon; and a daughter Carolyn Garland. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 26, at Straightway Christian Ministries Church with the Rev.
