Funeral service for Henry George Padgette, 80, of Youngstown, who died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in a local hospital, will be today at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joseph O'Daniel officiating. Interment will be in McQuagge-Brown Cemetery with military honors conducted by Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard and Masonic rites conducted by Ira Lindsey Masonic Lodge No. 365. The Masonic Lodge will open at 1 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the American Heart Association in memory of Henry Padgette.

MATTIE LOU PETTIS
Mrs. Mattie Lou Pettis, 73, of Panama City, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at a local hospital. Mrs. Pettis was a homemaker and attended Central Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Pettis is survived by a daughter Patricia Register of Panama City; a son Ronald R. Pettis and his wife Sharron of North Carolina; five grandchildren: Reggie Register, Mandy Wheeler, Alexis Register, Alex Register and Dana Stuart; four great-grandchildren: Morgan Wheeler, Kayla Register, Chipper Stuart and Samantha Stuart. Funeral services will be noon Monday, Nov. 8, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Shoots officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Garden Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mr. Reggie Register, Mr. Alex Register, Mr. Eddie Williams and Mr. Gene Taylor. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Nov. 7. The family will be at 1529 Chandlee Ave., Panama City.

MICHAEL LEROY SIMPSON
Mr. Michael Leroy Simpson, 38, of 1614 Third St., Southport, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at his residence. Mr. Simpson had been a residence of Bay County since 1970, coming here from Minot, N.D., and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife Diane Simpson of Southport; son Brian Michael Simpson and a daughter Brittany Joan Simpson both of Southport; his parents Francis and Ada Simpson of Panama City; four sisters: Teresa Ann Simpson of Panama City Beach, Tammy Angela Wages of Youngstown, Pamela June Grant of Callaway, and Tina Marie Bouchard of Springfield; three brothers: Billy Roy Taulbee and Gary Wayne Taulbee, both of Kentucky, and Richard Allen Simpson of Callaway; two uncles, Roy W. Simpson of Phoenix, Ark, and Barry D. Simpson of New York, N.Y.; an aunt Barbara Byler of Phoenix; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Key officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Richard Simpson, Michael Bouchard, Richard Toole, Freddie Johnson, Eddie Jackson, Daryl Bell, Robbie Collins, James A. Grant and Danny Wages. ROBERT LEE (R.L.) SPANN JR
Robert Lee (R.L.) Spann Jr., 84, of Parker, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a life-long resident of Bay County. He was a retired carpenter and volunteer firefighter of Parker. He was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Parker. Mr. Spann is survived by his wife, Rauzelle Spann of Parker; four children: Ernest Lee Spann of Wewahitchka, Jimmy Spann and his wife Donna of Panama City, Michael J. Spann of Gainesville, and Melody Guttlieb and her husband Leonard of Panama City; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carmen Bishop of Barton, Fla. Funeral service will be today at 3 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Parker with the Rev. Craig Hartzog officiating. Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Steve Bates, Joe Alexander, Willie White, Bill Meyers, Frank Bright, Wayne Carter and Mitch DeMoss. Honorary pallbearers are the Adult Men's Sunday School class and members of First Baptist Church of Parker. Mrs. Louis Johanna Wandasiewicz, 78, of Panama City Beach, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at a local hospital. Mrs. Wandasiewicz had been a resident of this area since August 1996, coming here from Riviera Beach, Md., and she attended Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wandasiewicz is survived by her husband of 56 years Mr. Peter Wandasiewicz of Panama City Beach; a daughter Darla Turner and special son-in-law Robert of Panama City Beach; a son Stanley "Wando" Wandasiewicz of Panama City Beach; three grandchildren: Peter Turner, Jeffrey Wandasiewicz and Jeremy Wandasiewicz and their mother Betty Lou Jump; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Monday, Nov 8, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Ball officiating. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8.

Mrs. Mamie Lee Williams, 90, of 3611 Transmitter Road, Panama City, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Williams had been a resident of Bay County since 1956 coming here from Columbus, Ga. She was a homemaker and member of First Assembly of God Church of Panama City. Mrs. Williams is survived by two sons, Earl Williams of Navarre, and Donnie Ray Williams of Belton, S.C., and their wives; a sister Mary Lee Minger of Panama City; and a brother Gene Hughes of Topeka, Kan.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous caring nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Phil Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Garden Cemetery. MARGUERITE T. WILLIAMSON
Marguerite T. Williamson, 80, of Fort Worth, Texas , died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in Houston. Funeral service was Saturday at Gambrell Street Baptist Church in Fort Worth with burial in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Mrs. Williamson was born Feb. 3, 1919 in Fort Worth. She was a teacher in the Panama City school system. She was an artist who loved to work with oils and was wonderfully devoted to her family. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her sister Louise Treadwell. She is survived by a son Tom Williamson and his wife Theresa of Houston; grandchildren: Michelle Williamson of Lake Jackson, Texas , Lisa Williamson of Hunstville, Texas , and Ashley and Gina Williamson, both of Houston; and one great-granddaughter, Samara.

MARY JULIA WEBB MITCHELL
Mrs. Mary Julia Webb Mitchell, age 93, of Panama City, Fla., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Mitchell was a native Floridian, the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Webb and Effie McGilvary. Mrs. Mitchell had been a resident of Bay County since 1942, coming here from Lovedale, Fla., at which time she and her family opened a boarding house in Panama City. She was a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church for 45 years. In her sixties, she worked closely with the Council on Aging, as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and conducted craft demonstrations for the senior citizens. She continued to lead an active life as a volunteer to our community and in 1995, at the age of 89, she performed in five productions of the play The Good Health Trolley, a stage play presented in various local nursing homes. She was also a model for Wal-Mart at the age of 89, a volunteer Fire Marshall for the St. Andrews Towers and worked with the Anchorage Home, making Christmas gifts with the Craft Club. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband: Tillous Otis Mitchell; and two sisters: Beatrice Bennett and Ettie Rea Pittman.
