Retired Master Sgt. Charles Leslie Harris, U.S. Army, age 65, of Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999 at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area for 22 years, coming here from Atlanta, Ga. Master Sgt. Harris served his country in the U. S. Army for 22 1/2 years during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam era. He was a life member of the VFW Post No. 2185 of Panama City, Fla., and the AmVets. Master Sgt. Harris is survived by his wife, Willa Harris of Panama City, Fla.; a son, Herbert Harris of Panama City, Fla.; a step-son, Troy Shelton of Panama City, Fla.; a step-daughter, Tammy Ramsey of Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Jo Carolyn Conners of Meridita, Ga.; brothers, Winston Harris and his wife Wilvin of Woodstock, Ga., and Melvin Harris and his wife Marie of Conyers, Ga.; grandchildren: Anthony Harris of Nashville, Tenn., Brittany Ramsey and Christopher Allen, both of Panama City, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 in Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Chaplain of Bay Medical Center Hospice officiating. military Honors will be conducted by Fort Rucker. MICHAEL W. HOWELL
Michael W. "Muscle Mike" Howell, age 37, of 114 Rowe Avenue, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1980 graduate of Rutherford High School. He was an avid water enthusiast and Captain/Pirate of his vessel The Stoned Crow. He is survived by his wife, Teri Howell; son, Drake Howell; parents, Lee and Sandra Howell; sisters, Linda Smith and her husband Steve of Orlando, and Sandy Thompson of Daytona Beach; nieces, Stephanie Gifford of Tampa and Stacy Gifford of Arlington, Ky.; nephews, Shane and Austin Smith of Orlando; and numerous family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 18 at Howard Carlisle Baptist Church, 835 S. Berthe Ave., Callaway. In lieu of flowers donations to Panama City Marine Institute.

JESSIE HINSON BUSH
Mrs. Jessie Hinson Bush, 90 of Hiland Park, Fla., died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in a local nursing home. She lived here for 50 years moving here from Chipley, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for almost 50 years. Mrs. Bush is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Russell R. Bush and a son, Glynn T. Bush. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Gwen Bush of Lynn Haven; two brothers: Calap Hinson and wife Eloise of Hiland Park and Jonas Hinson and wife Hannah of Tampa; a sister-in-law, Gladys Hinson of Hiland Park; two grandsons, Mitch Bush of Hiland Park and Mike Bush and wife Robin of Southport; two step great-grandchildren: Jennifer and Shannon Majors both of Southport. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. in Smith-Southerland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

PAUL CORDETTE GILSTRAP
Paul Cordette Gilstrap, 85, of Parker, Fla., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in a local hospital. He was the eldest son of Charles Joseph Gilstrap and Linnie Virginia Nowell. Born on Aug. 10, 1914, in Headland, Ala., he was a longtime resident of Panama City moving here in 1934 from Dothan, Ala., where he finished high school. Mr. Gilstrap was Protestant by faith. His early years were spent doing cabinet, furniture and general wood millwork plus general contracting. He was active in community affairs. In 1940, he went to work at Tyndall Field under Civil Service as an aircraft woodworker and retired as foreman in the Civil Engineers section. After retirement he and his wife of 60 years, Nettie C. Rudd Gilstrap traveled extensively for many years in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Mr. Gilstrap was preceded in death by his lifelong love two weeks ago. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Wanda J. and Gene Sellars of Lynn Haven and Brenda J. and Robert Inman of Parker; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul Jr. and Connie Gilstrap of Blairsville, Ga.; one brother, Joseph C. Gilstrap of Gulf Breeze, Fla; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Gilstrap will lie in state at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Phillip Inman, David Inman, Robert Gill, Terry Tally, Daryle Burkey and Barry Mitchum. Family and friends will gather at the home of Wanda and Gene Sellars after the service.

GLORIA PATRICIA TONEY-HENTZ
Glorida Patricia Toney-Hentz, 48, of 6200 Lagoon Apt. C-5, Panama City Beach, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, in a local nursing home. She was a native of New York City, and a resident of Bay County for a number of years. She is survived by her son, William McCray of Atlanta, Ga.; mother, Vivian Toney of North Carolina; two brothers: Nathaniel Toney of Laurel, Md., and Warren Toney of Athan, Ga.; two granddaughters: Laura and Dasia; a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Ms. Hentz will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at 1 p.m. in Set Free Evangelistic Outreach Church of God in Christ, 1900 W. 15th Street with Elder Willie J. Moore officiating.

MICHAEL BLAINE KILPATRICK
Michael Blaine Kilpatrick, 47, passed away at his home in Citronelle, Ala., on Nov. 16, 1999. He was a graduate of Rutherford High School and served his country in the U. S. Army. He is survived by one daughter, Rhonda; two sons: Thomas and Michael; one sister, Fern Hysmith; five brothers: Shane, Clifford, Douglas, Clint, and Jeremy; mother, Betty; father; Ernie; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held by Freemans Funeral Home today, Nov. 19 in Leaksville, Miss.

BRUNSON LOWRY
Brunson Lowry, 91, of Panama City, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at home with family after nearly a year of battling cancer of the esophagus. Mr. Lowry was born in Coffee Co., Ala., but lived most of his life in Panama City and Grand Bay, Ala. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a General Superintendent for H.G. Harders and Son from 1957 until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Lowry was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen McKnight Lowry and his second wife, Marguerite Woodard Lowry. He is survived by a daughter, June Johnson and her husband, James; grandson, Jestin Johnson, and numerous nieces, nephews, fishing buddies and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Johnson and Brother Adolph Bedsole officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Bay Medical Center Hospice, 615 N. MARJORIE LEE FLETCHER MCCLUNG
Marjorie Lee Fletcher McClung, 73, of Panama City went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999. Shortly after moving here from Texas in 1961, she joined the First United Methodist Church. She retired from Boyd Brothers Office Supply in 1986. Mrs. McClung is survived by her husband of 50 years, Cecil McClung; three children: Donna Camp and husband Joseph of Mobile, Ala., Marsha Frudaker and husband, Richard of Panama City, and Mark McClung and wife Theresa of Panama City Beach; one sister, Betty Sharrer of Albuquerque, N.M.; and four granddaughters: Beverly and Jennifer Frudaker and Michelle and Jessica McClung. A memorial service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Mr. Sonny Myers and the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. In accordance with her wishes, her body has been donated to the Anatomical Board of the State of Florida, University of Florida College of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to Bay Medical Center Hospice or the Bay County Public Library in memory of Marjorie McClung.

WILLIAM ROBERT PARKER
William Robert Parker, age 73, of 415 John Street, Trenton, Ohio died Wednesday evening, Nov. 17, 1999, at Willow Knoll Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home in Middletown, Ohio, with the Rev. Erick Brazelton officiating. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 218 will be held at Woodside Cemetery.

Mr. Ricky Reynolds, 37, of 528 E. 7th Street died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Panama City. He received his formal education in the Bay County School System. He graduated from Mosley High School in 1980. He is survived by his daughter, Taja Reynolds; son, Ricky Reynolds Jr.; a devoted mother, Lucille Reynolds; four brothers: Johnnie Lee Reynolds, Edward Reynolds, Eddie Reynolds and Darrill Reynolds; six sisters: Nellie Jean Reynolds, Michelle Waddell (Wendell), Pamela Green and Elaine Reynolds, all of Panama City; Charlene Bell and Callie Mae Moore (Sam) both of Tallahassee; 25 nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Reynolds will be held Saturday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. in Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Rufus L. Wood Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will repose at Love Center Missionary Baptist Church this evening from 6 to 8 p.m., 916 Mercedes Ave. and will lie in state at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 528 E. 7th Street.
