WARENE ADDIE PEOPLES
Mrs. Warene Addie Peoples, age 84, of 4419 N. Hwy. 231, Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999 at a local hospital. She has been a resident of the area since 1995, coming here from Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Mrs. Peoples was a member of the Hiland Park Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Gurtis Castleberry and husband Gene of Panama City, Fla; a sister, Thelma Wamble of Bonifay, Fla.; granddaughters, Angela Heil and husband J.R. of San Diego, Calif. and Teresa Black and husband Bill of Lynn Haven, Fla.; grandsons: Jim Castleberry of Atlanta, Ga. and David Peoples of Austin, Texas ; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Peoples of Pflugerville, Texas ; sisters-in-law, Annie Bell Gavin and Lurlene Gavin, both of Panama City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Peoples and a son, Billie G. Peoples. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Pickerill officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Cliff West, Harold Tew, Edwin Reid, Dayton Lashley, Staten Corbett and Vincent Morgan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Dec. 2, 1999 from 6 to 8 p.m.

LINDA JOYCE MORRIS
Ms. Linda Joyce Morris, age 52, of 9742 R. Hopkins Lane, Youngstown, Fla., died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999 at her home. She had been a life long resident of the area, housekeeping supervisor for the Billeting Office at Tyndall Air Force Base, and was Baptist by faith. Ms. Morris is survived by her daughter, Dawn Michelle Morris of Lynn Haven, Fla.; sons, Jamie Kirkland and his wife Lori of Lynn Haven, Fla. and Timothy Kirkland of Crestview, Fla.; a sister, Judy Spooner of Youngstown, Fla.; and brothers: Freddie Porter of Southport, Fla., Jimmy Porter of Opelika, Ala., and Phillip Porter of Youngstown, Fla. Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Friday., Dec. 3, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Luke officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Wesley Spooner, Wesley Morrison, Nathan Johnson, Donnie Tucker, Cory VanBemen, Danny Young, Ricky Young and John Foister Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Dec. 2, 1999 from 6 to 8 p.m. The family will be staying at the home of her brother, Freddie Porter, 1917 Leigh Anna Lane, Southport, Fla.

EARL SHEARER
Earl Shearer, 80, died Nov. 15, 1999. He was retired from the United States Air Force, having served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a car salesman in Panama City for many years. He is survived by his wife, Nettie Shearer of 5516 Neal Drive, Macon, GA 31216; daughter, Norma Shearer of Dallas, Texas ; and son, Joseph Shearer of Pasadena, Calif.

LLOYD C. SHERROD
Mr. Lloyd C. Sherrod, 79, of Wewahitchka, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999 at his home following an extended illness. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Sherrod was retired from St. Joe Paper Company, and was a Panama City News Herald carrier for four years. He was holiness by faith and was a member of The Worship Center. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Beatrice Sherrod of Wewahitchka; his children: Douglas Sherrod of Jacksonville, Diane Attaway, and Scott Sherrod, both of Wewahitchka; one brother, Jim Sherrod of Winter Haven; one sister, Opal Fitzpatrick of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren: Scott Messer, Brad Price (LaDonna), Tammy Nichols, Gloria Wood (Tommy), David Redd (Patti), Christie Johnson (Robert) and Brandi Bailey (George); nine great-grandchildren: Lacey and Buddy Wood, Brandon and Ashleigh Price, Shelby Bailey, April Messer, Jessica Messer, Dillon McDaniel and Maranda Jones; and his special friends: Charles and Sheila Scott and Melissa and Bubba Dickens. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alane Redd; and three great-grandchildren: A.J., Josh and Little Bill Finch. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. CST Friday at The Worship Center, conducted by the Rev. Charles Pettis. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery. He will lie in state at the church this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. CST, and Friday for one hour prior to funeral services.

LLOYD ALLAN GALE
Lloyd Allan Gale, 73, of Panama City, died Wednesday, December 1, 1999, at his home. He lived in Bay County for 55 years moving here from Crumpton, Md. He was retired from Civilian Personnel from Tyndall Air Force Base. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of B & B Hunting Lease. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Gale; daughter, Shelly Kirchoff and her husband, Richard; and two grandchildren: Jennifer Harrison and Matt Kirchoff, all of Panama City. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Doug Newton and Dr. Louie Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 7 p.m. Those desiring to may make contributions to Hospice of Northwest Florida in memory of Lloyd Gale.

GLEN RAY HUNDLEY
Mr. Glen Ray Hundley, age 50, of 3933 Gravelle Drive, Southport, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999. He had been a resident of the area for 45 years, coming here from Columbus, Ga., and was self-employed as an electronics technician. Beloved husband, daddy, son, and brother, he will be greatly missed. Mr. Hundley served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1968 until 1972 with a tour of duty in Vietnam. The Bible says, In everything give thanks ... so I just want to say thanks for the last 23 years, we love you, Cheryl and Sarah. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl G. Hundley of Southport, Fla.; daughters: Sarah B. Hundley of Southport, Fla., and Brandi L. Hundley of Panama City, Fla.; parents, Frank J. and Jean Hundley of Southport, Fla.; sisters, Cathy Byrd of Lynn Haven, Fla., and Vicki Vann and her husband Ray of Youngstown, Fla.; and brother, Kelly Hundley and his wife Daphne of Panama City, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Rhinehart officiating and Mr. Kelly Hundley will offer the eulogy. Interment will follow at Lynn Haven Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Roger Fulghum, Harry Fulghum, Derrol Fulghum, Stephen Pettijohn, Shane Byrd, and George Van Buskirk. Honorary pallbearers will include: Ray Vann, Martin Leggett, Richard Carroll, Ted Taylor, Erland Graham, and Don Parsons. Mrs. Mentha Lee Jenkins, 58, of Port St. Joe, Fla., and formerly of Gainesville, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at home. She was a native of Jackson County and a member of Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church in Port St. Joe. Funeral services for Mrs. Jenkins will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe with Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville directing. Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her husband, Johnny Jenkins Sr. of Port St. Joe; six sons: Johnny Jenkins Jr., Willie Jenkins and Joshua Jenkins, all of Port St. Joe, Rozell Jenkins of Sullent, Ala., and Ronald E. Jenkins and Donald E. Jenkins, both of Panama City; one brother, Willie O. Smith of Panama City; fifteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church today, Dec. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 4. Mrs. Jenkins will lie in state from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m.

Evelyn Angelina Merrill, age 59, of 22500 Front Beach Rd., Panama City Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999, at her home. She had been a resident of the area since 1976, coming here from Lansing, Mich., and was Catholic by faith. Ms. Merrill is survived by her former husband, Dr. Thomas Merrill of Apalachicola, Fla.; a brother: George Friedrich and his wife Tessie of Tocoma Park, Md.; two nephews; and one niece. Memorial Services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Key officiating.

Mrs. Eva Frances (White) Obert, age 69, of 12212 Veal Rd., Youngstown, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec.1, 1999, as the result of a tragic car accident. She was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of Old Country Church. Mrs. Obert is survived by her husband, the Rev. Willie B. Obert of Panama City, Fla., who was also in the accident with her; children: Darrell White, Doyle White and his wife Margaret, Diane Love and her husband Ray, Donnie White, Dennis White, Deborah Morris and her husband Randy, and Derwin White and his wife Lynn, all of Panama City, Fla.; step-children: Randall Obert and his wife Lois, Sue Nolan and her husband Bill, and Yvonne Gibbs, all of Panama City, Fla.; her step-mother, Velma Mae Miller; sisters: Dorothy Stats and Bessie Goodwin, both of Panama City, Fla., and Juanita Metcalf of Alabama; brothers: William S. Miller of Vernon, Fla., Charles E. Miller of Greenhead, Fla., Paul Miller of Wausua, Fla., Rufus Miller, Henry Miller, and Jimmy Miller, all of Panama City, Fla.; sixteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd White and the Rev. Robert Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Washington Co. at 4 p.m. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Allan White, Roger Goodwin, Oscar Miller, Clifton Miller, Donnie Worley, and Glen Miller. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Strickland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Dec. 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. The family will be at Mrs. Obert's son's home, Derwin White, 12208 Veal Rd., Youngstown, Fla.

Mrs. Betty Clodfelter Peluso, 62, of Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominics Catholic Church. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor William A. Crowe officiating.
