ALMA LOUISE FLEMING
Mrs. Alma Louise Fleming, 78, of 1107 Parker Drive, Panama City, Fla., died Friday morning, Feb. 4, 2000, at the Sterling House. Mrs. Fleming had been a resident of Bay County since 1958, coming here from Clarksburg, W.Va. She was a licensed practical nurse for 17 years at Bay Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of the first practical nursing class of Bay County in 1959. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church where she and her late husband designed banners and signs, a former member of the 7th Street Square Dance Club and other square dance groups, and a former member of the Fun and Frolic Group of Lynn Haven. Mrs. Fleming was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Joseph Fleming. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jean Tucker and husband, Thomas, of Panama City, and Mrs. Marcia Kendrick and husband, Richard, of Syracuse, N.Y.; one son, Mr. James Fleming and wife, Helen, of Hillsboro, W.Va.; six grandchildren: Thomas Tucker, of Chicago, Ill., Dr. Liesel Tucker of Birmingham, Ala., Benjamin Kendrick, Hope Kendrick, Timothy Kendrick, all of Syracuse, N.Y., and Suzy Meadows and husband, James, of Lewisburg, W.Va.; three great-grandchildren: Katie Meadows, Emily Meadows, and Ethan Meadows, all of Lewisburg, W.Va. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. today, Feb. 7, at the newly relocated Messiah Lutheran Church at the corner of 5th and Mercer with Pastor Dennis Schmidt officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church building fund in memory of Mrs. Alma Louise Fleming. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff and residents of the Sterling House of Panama City.

ESTEL NEAL CRIDER
Funeral services for Mr. Estel Neal Crider, 79, of Callaway, Fla., who died Friday afternoon, Feb. 4, 2000, will be conducted on Tuesday morning, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. in the First Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Allen Crabtree officiating. Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family of Mr. Crider will be receiving friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

GEORGE ALLEN KEITH
Mr. George Allen Keith, 82, of Panama City, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000. A native of Blakely, Ga., Mr. Keith had lived in Lynn Haven for the past six and one-half years, moving there from Apalachicola. He retired as the assistant director of the James Haley Veterans Administration Hospital in Tampa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with Company "E" 106th Engineers National Guard, and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, and was a member of St. Michael Angelican Catholic Church in Panama City. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Margie Marshall Keith of Lynn Haven; two daughters, Frances L. Keith of Crawfordville and Annelle Keith Blanchett of Tallahassee; one brother, John D. Keith of Pensacola; one sister, Lena James Thompson of The Woodlands, Texas ; four grandchildren: Margie Quillman and Patricia Keith-Minasian, both of Tallahassee, George Keith Thompson of Crawfordville and Paul Scott Blanchett of Live Oak; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. EST (9 a.m. CST) Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Kelley Funeral Home. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Apalachicola, with military honors observed graveside. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael Angelican Catholic Church in Panama City.

DANIEL QUITMAN HUTCHISON SR.
Funeral services for Daniel Quitman Hutchison Sr., 81, of 1111 W. 9th St., Panama City, who died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in his home, will be held today at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Conner and the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church or Hospice of Bay Medical Center in memory of Dan Hutchison. Active pallbearers are Dow Hutchison, Ted Haney, Jeff Walker, John Gay, Franklin Harrison, Jay Hindsman, Gary Lee, and Al Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are M.G. HURLEY J. 'POT' PRICE
Mr. Hurley J. "Pot" Price, age 48, of 407 Hill Drive, Panama City, Fla., died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at a local hospital. He was born in Lynn Haven and was a retired service manager at Sears Automotive. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, and was of the Holiness faith. He is survived by a son, John Price of Panama City; a daughter, Melissa Price of Panama City; his children's mother, Mary Ann Price of Panama City; three sisters: Frances Scurlock and her husband Farrell, Shirley Hartzog and her husband Cullen and Rhonda "Lucy" French and her husband Dennis, all of Panama City; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ed and Jeannie Lewis of Panama City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Carroll, the Rev. Winfred King, the Rev. Mike Parker and the Rev. Billy J. Melvin Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ed Lewis, Ron Barlow, Wayne King, Jack Tolar, Lenard Mason, Mike Knight and Mike Kelly. MS. MIRIAM HYLAND SMITH
Ms. Miriam Hyland Smith, age 79, of 1217 Dundee Lane, Lynn Haven, Fla., died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at her residence. Ms. Smith had been a resident of the area since 1984, moving here from Wethersfield, Conn., and was a member of Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. Ms. Smith was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island in 1942 and was a retired school teacher. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Caron of Lynn Haven; and one granddaughter, Lanta Caron of Bayou George, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church with the Rev. Douglas Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Carl Gaddis, Norm Amoss, Jerry Rifenburg, and Larry Villar. Honorary pallbearers will include members of both the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Lively Stones Sunday School Class at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. Mr. Shelly Wade "Pappy" Smith, 92, of 1117 Frankford Ave., Panama City, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, in a local hospital. He was born in Dale County, Ala. Mr. Smith moved to Panama City in 1953 and was employed by the State of Florida as a park ranger and a member of the St. Andrews Methodist Church. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mrs. Verlie Smith; two sons, Ben Grady Smith and wife Betty of Panama City, Jennings Earl Smith and wife Jeanette of Dothan, Ala.; three sisters: Martha Paremore of Napier Field, Ala., Rebecca Lamb of Frost Proof, Fla., Grace Bennett of Bozier, La.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Southerland Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ed Britton officiating. Internment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Graveside funeral services for Cleo Clyde Lunsford, 82, of Panama City, Fla., who died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, in a local nursing home, will be held today at 1 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. VIRGINIA PARKER THOMAS
Virginia Parker Thomas, 85, of Panama City, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, in a local nursing home. She was a registered nurse at International Paper Company retiring after 28 years of service. She was a lifelong resident of Panama City and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a 1933 graduate of Bay High School and graduated from the Mather School of Nursing in New Orleans, La. She was preceded in death by her husband, N. Earl Thomas. She is survived by a son, Ken E. Thomas and his wife Anita of Panama City; grandson, Ken E. Thomas Jr. and his wife Kelly of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughter, Karen Brown and her husband Michael of Panama City; four sisters: Mrs. Florence Gilbert, Mrs. Edwina Sweeney, Mrs. Carolyn Roberts, all of Panama City, Mrs. Peggy McDonough of Mobile, Ala.; brother, Charles Parker of Panama City; four great-grandchildren: Kendall Thomas, Kelcey Thomas, Wesley Brown, William Brown. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Doug Newton and the Rev. Si Mathison officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. today. MANUEL CABRAL JR.
Mr. Manuel Cabral Jr., age 87, of 21024 S. Lakeview Drive, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000 at a local hospital. He has been a resident of the area for eight months, coming here from Taunton, Mass. Mr. Cabral was a member of the King David Lodge, AF & AM, North Dighton, Mass. (Taunton Shriners Council R & SW), Royal St. Marks Chapter in Taunton, Mass., and Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of the State of Rhode Island. Mr. Cabral is survived by his daughter, Rosemarie Mitchell of Panama City Beach; a son, Robert Cabral of Whitman, Mass.; sisters: Veronica Cabral, Mary Clara Cabral and Eugenia Nickerson, all of Taunton; brothers, Edward Cabral of Taunton and Eugene Cabral of Providence, R.I.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
