CARL (MONK) MONROE MALCOLM
Mr. Carl (Monk) Monroe Malcolm, 84, of 3367 Bonnett Pond Road, Chipley, Fla., died Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at his home. Born in Gay, Ga., he moved to Chipley in 1993 from Southport, Fla. He was a distributor for the Snap-On-Tool Company for 16 years and retired in 1974 in Atlanta, Ga. He was a member of North Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a past member of Lynn Haven Lion's Club where he was very active. He was extremely active in charitable work for his church including a prison ministry and was a lay minister. Mr. Malcolm was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife, Charleen Malcolm of Chipley; one son, Lew Malcom and wife Tina of Dallas, Ga.; three daughters: Pat McCormick and husband Don of Lynn Haven, Sue Jackson and husband Sonny of Dunwoody, Ga., Nance McCullough of Parker, Colo.; two brothers, Louis Malcolm of Atlanta, Ga., and Aubrey Malcolm of California; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 18, at 1:30 p.m. in Smith-Southerland Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday at 2 p.m. EST in College Park Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Those who wish may make contributions to the Building Fund of the North Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church, c/o Ken Shaw, Treasurer, 924 College Blvd., N. Lynn Haven, Fla. 32444. The family will be staying at the home of Pat McCormick, 920 Carolina Avenue, Lynn Haven.

HORACE 'HOOKS' DAFFIN
Graveside Services for Mr. Horace "Hooks" Daffin, age 84, of 1511 Mulberry Ave., Panama City, Fla., who died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, will be held at 10 a.m. today, March 17 at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Jim Hankins officiating. Interment will follow. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Frances P. DeCrescenzo, age 73, of 3311 B St., Panama City, Fla., who died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 18 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Msgr. William A. Crowe officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, March 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.

ALBERT O'NEAL 'RED' FAIN
Mr. Albert O'Neal "Red" Fain, age 89, of 3019 Douglas Rd., Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, March 16, 2000, at a local nursing facility. He has been a resident of the area since 1950, coming here from Ozark, Ala. Mr. Fain had been a barber for 70 years, owning his own shop locally for many years. He was known as Florida's oldest licensed barber and worked for Mr. Eddie's Barber Shop for the last eleven years. He was acclaimed by Outdoor Magazine as an outstanding barber of Florida. He had been featured on television and in the local News-Herald on numerous occasions. He was also an avid fisherman. Mr. Fain was a devout Christian and an ordained deacon and a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He was survived by his wife, Andrea Fain of Panama City; a daughter, Chris Walker of Tallahassee, Fla.; two step-sons, Wayne Hill and Mike Hill, both of Panama City; a sister, Martha Bonner of Wicksburg, Ala.; grandchildren: Debra Flemming of Tallahassee, David Walker of Panama City, Dennis Walker of The Woodlands, Texas , Casey Hill, Sarah Hill, Kaleigh Hill, Nicholas Hill, and Marshall Teague, all of Panama City; ten great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Glenn Williams of Panama City. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 18 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Key officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as pallbearers are: Wayne Hill, Mike Hill, Glenn Williams, David Walker, Dennis Walker, and Jim Walker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, March 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.

DALLAS W. SMITH
Mr. Dallas W. Smith, age 81, of 2316 Michigan Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday March 15, 2000, at his home. He had been a lifetime resident of the area and was previously employed with the Bay County School System. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Ollie Mae Smith of Panama City; sons, Hershel Smith and Buel Smith, both of Panama City; daughters, Betty Rudd and Charlotte Smith, both of Panama City, and Frances Gilbert of Apalachicola; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tilmon Ward officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, March 17 from 6 to 8 p.m.

CLARENCE LESLIE 'SKIPPER' JINKS III
Clarence Leslie "Skipper" Jinks III, 50, of 607 West 11th Street, died Wednesday in his home. He was manager of a trailer park. He was a 1967 graduate of Bay High School and attended Gulf Coast Community College and the University of Florida. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. He is survived by two sons, Patrick Leslie Jinks, and Christopher Thomas Jinks; and their mother, Cindy Hardy; his parents, C.L. (Les) and Mary Catherine Jinks; brother, Russell Jinks and his wife Nancy all of Panama City; sister, Sue Jinks Robertson and her husband John of Decatur, Ga.; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Corine Moody of Panama City; his special friend, Barbara. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Conner, the Rev. Walter Cathey and the Rev. David Anderegg officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Those desiring to may make a donation to The Bay Medical Behavioral Health Center, 1940 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory of Skipper Jinks. JOSEPHINE CHAMBERS LAMBERT
Mrs. Josephine Chambers Lambert, age 84, of Panama City, Fla., died March 13, 2000, in Civistia Medical Center in LaPlata, Md. She resided in Panama City for many years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m. in Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Panama City with the Rev. Woodrow Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Panama City. Survivors include three sons: John Lambert (Thelma), Leroy Lambert (Kitty) all of Panama City, and J.C. Lambert of Monticello, Ark.; four daughters: Julia Williamson (Jerry) of Dallas, Texas , Mary Anderson (Joseph), Erlene Craft both of Panama City, Annie McPhatter (Lee) of Waldorf, Md., Julia Ann Williams of Tallahassee; brother, Walter Chambers of Biloxi, Miss.; 27 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends viewing will be held this evening, March 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 719 East Court, Panama City.

MARTHA L. QUICK
Mrs. Martha L. Quick, 72, of Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at her home. Born in Carrabelle, Fla., she moved here in 1964 from Brownsville, Texas . She retired from Bay County School Board as a teacher and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Quick is preceded in death by a son, Stephen Lindsay. She is survived by two sons, Robert B. Lindsay and Paul W. "Chuck" Lindsay both of Panama City; one brother, Jack Day of Monticello, Fla.; special granddaughter, Beverly L. Winslett and husband Ron and eight grandchildren. Memorialization will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Quick.

MICHAEL SHAE BELLAMY
Michael S. Bellamy, 31, of 1406 S. Berthe Ave., died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 in the Medical Center. He was a native of Panama City, but had lived in Miami for a number of years before returning to live with his mother. Life's journey to a peaceful shore came on March 14, 2000 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City. He leaves a devoted mother, Emma Bellamy; sisters: Yvette Rayford of Panama City, Melissa Johnson of Teaneck, N.J., Nicole Johnson, Tina Johnson and Lynette Johnson of Milwaukee, Wis.; one brother, Vincent Johnson of Reading, Pa; grandfather, the Rev. Robert M. Bellamy of Panama City; uncles: Mack (Mary) Bellamy of Tampa, Lawrence (Gladys) Bellamy of Panama City, Thomas (Annie) Bellamy of Valdosta, Ga., Eddie Ray (Rosetta) Johnson of Panama City, Levy Johnson of Milwaukee; one aunt, Leverne Johnson of Milwaukee; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins; a devoted friend, Joyce Beaty of Panama City; and a devoted cousin, Michelle Bellamy of Topeka, Kan. Funeral services for Michael Bellamy will be held Sunday, March 19, at 11 a.m. in Battle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Harper officiating and the Rev. R.M. Bellamy, presiding. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will begin this afternoon from 1 to 8 p.m.at the funeral home.

LAUREN LETITIA BROWN
Our precious angel, Lauren, went to see Jesus on March 14, 2000. She was born on July 15, 1997. She is survived by her parents, Don and Letitia Warnock Brown. She leaves behind her sisters, Xanthia Clark and LeeAnne Brown, and her brothers Donnie and Craig Brown. Her maternal grandparents are Lowell and Jeannette Warnock of Oxford, Fla.; her paternal grandparents are Jean Poole of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Joe Brown of Houston, Texas . Her aunts are: Carol Poole, Jeannie Moore, Grace Fields, Kristin Brown and Uncle Joe (J.D.) Brown, and her uncles Jerry Moore and Marc Fields. Cousins are: Danielle and Joey Brown, Leah Poole, Jessica Moore, Anthony Moore, Chelsea and Ryan Warner, and Jeremy and Andy Moore. She is a wonderful gift from God, and we are thankful for the joy she brought to her family for the short time we had her here on earth. She is loved and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. John D. Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Cemetery. Lunch will be served at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church following the service. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Anchorage Children's Home in memory of Lauren Brown.
