NELLIE BURGESS LOPER
Nellie Burgess Loper, 86, died Thursday, March 30, 2000, at her home on Bunkers Cove Road. She had moved from Oswego, N.Y., to Panama City in 1974. She held memberships in the Audobon Society, Garden Club, the Philosophical Society and the Bay County Stamp Club. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Orla E. Loper; a son, David and his wife Joan of Tallahassee; daughters: Ruth Pixley and husband Donald of Binghamton, N.Y., Mary Lee Underwood and husband Billy of Sebastopol, Miss., Kathleen Rogozinski of Panama City, Katherine Dempsey and husband Richard of Oswego, N.Y., and Susan Zamora and husband Ralph of Destrehan, La. She also leaves 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. Instead of flowers, a donation to Hospice of Northwest Florida, 2589 Jenks Ave., is suggested. After cremation, interment will take place at Scriba Hillside Cemetery, Oswego, N.Y.

REV. ARLIN E. ODOM SR.
The Rev. Arlin E. Odom Sr., 73, of 2532 South Cedar Lane, Panama City, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a retired minister and a member of the Hiland Park United Pentacostal Church. The Rev. Odom is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Odom of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Patricia Ann Odom of Monroe, Mich., and Camilla Jean Fulton of Wiggins, Miss.; six sons: the Rev. W.E. Odom of Ovett, Miss., Freddy L. Odom of Wiggins, Miss., Terry Odom of Panama City, Fla., Arlin E. Odom Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, Tim Odom of Lima, Ohio, and Arlin Edward Odom Jr. II of Franklin, N.C.; six stepsons: Jimmy Pate of Panama City, Fla., Earl Pate of Franklin, N.C., Kenneth W. Pate of Franklin, N.C., Bobby Pate of Panama City, Fla., the Rev. LaDon Pate of Franklin, N.C., and Jerry Pate of Panama City, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Kathy Allen of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two sisters, Betty Boyd of Port St. Joe, Fla., and Mary Mayfield of Marietta, Ga.; two brothers, Marlin Odon of Chickapee, Mass., and Benny Odom of Mobile, Ala.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the Hiland Park United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. W.E. Odom officiating with graveside services following at 4 p.m. at the Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mark Odom, Jonathan Odom, Herman Pitts, Ladon Pate, Jason Pate and Donald Thomas. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Roger Dale Bass, 49, of 141 Spring Field Ave., Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2000, at his home. Mr. Bass was a lifetime resident of this area and Protestant by faith. Mr. Roger Bass is survived by his wife, Alice Bass of Panama City; son, Chad Jordan, of Tallahassee; Sister, Sandra Williams of Samson, Ala.; brothers: Jerome Bass of Texas , Thomas Bass and Donald Bass of Live Oak; and eight grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. CDT today, April 2, 2000, at Daffin Park.

HARVEY T. TAYLOR
Mr. Harvey T. Taylor, 81 of 1509 E. Park Road, Panama City, passed away Friday, March 31, 2000 in a local hospital. Mr. Taylor was born in Graceville and moved to Panama City in 1923. He was a Commercial Fisherman and was of the Holiness faith. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 56 years Eva Mae Taylor of Panama City; two daughters, Joyce Green & husband Bill of Columbia, S.C., and Judy Lassiter & husband George of Panama City; four sons, Austin Taylor & wife Ruthie of Panama City, Harvey V. Taylor & wife Mary Beth of Alexandria, Va., Earl Taylor & wife Judy of Tampa, and Aubrey Taylor & wife Beatrice of Orlando; three sisters, Molly Millirons, and Anna Grenslade both of Panama City, and Beatrice Crews of Starke; a brother, A.J. "Taylor" Smith of Bonifay; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by six brothers. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2000 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tilmon Ward and the Rev. David G. Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 2, 2000 from 6 to 8 p.m.

WILMA F. KENDRICK
Mrs. Wilma F. Kendrick, 89, of Blountstown, died Friday, in the Calhoun-Liberty Hospital. Mrs. Kendrick was born in Gadsden County and a retired nurse. She was a Baptist. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Deanie and Virgil Daniels of Blountstown; two sisters, Jane Bodiford of Tallahassee, and Mildred Thyer of Panama City; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown with the Rev. Terry Blackburn and the Rev. Jim Gosnell officiating. Interment will be in the McAlpin Cemetery near Chattahoochee. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

JOHN K. VAISNIS
John K. Vaisnis, 85, of Panama City Beach died Thursday March 30, 2000, in a local nursing home. Until last spring he was a resident of Brockton, Mass. John was a life-long member of the Polish White Eagle Society and an avid fisherman and gardener. He is survived by his wife Louise; his daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Rich Weber; his sister Lillian Labbate and his nieces Karen Cudworth and Janice Faustrum. Memorial services will be held at Southerland Funeral Home on Monday April 3, 2000, at 3:30 p.m., followed by a gathering at Weber's home.

WALTER B. CREAMER
Mr. Walter B. Creamer, 85, of Apalachicola, died Sunday, April 2, 2000 at his home in Apalachicola. A native of Apalachicola, he had lived there for the past 63 years. He was a retired commercial fisherman, a member of the Apalachicola Lodge # 76 F&AM, the Scottish Lodge and the Shaddi Temple. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Apalachicola. He is survived by his six sons: Junior Creamer, Charles Creamer, Quention Creamer, Tommy Creamer and Mark Creamer, all of Apalachicola, and Donnie B. Creamer of Panama City; his three daughters: Cathy Bentley, Merle Odom and Maida Gilbert, all of Eastpoint, Fla.; two brothers: Willie Creamer of Eastpoint and Burdett Creamer of Southport; three daughters: Pansy Alday, Eloise Johns and Nona Scott, all of Southport; 36 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, April 3, 2000, 5 to 8 p.m. (EST) at the First Assembly of God Church in Apalachicola. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with Masonic Rites being observed graveside.

MOULTON ALBERT FREEMAN
Moulton Albert Freeman, 89, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2000. Mr Freeman moved to Port St. Joe from Youngstown in 1940 and retired from St. Joe Paper Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Parker Freeman; a son, Moulton Lamar Freeman; his parents, Oscar and Lula Freeman; and four brothers. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by two granddaughters, Rebecca Neilson and husband Guy of Downers Grove, Ill., and Barbara Luckett and husband Tom of Apollo Beach, Fla.; four great-grandchildren: Dominic and Sara Senece of Downers Grove, Danny and Bonnie Luckett of Apollo Beach; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Sobel of Apollo Beach; four sisters: Myrtle Mayo of Dothan, Ala., Addie Spoon of Niceville, Mildred Cain of Bowling Green, Fla., and Ruth Graham of White City; two brothers, Mark Freeman of Blountstown and Floyd Freeman of Ocean Springs, Miss. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. (EST) Tuesday at the White City Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nick Davis. Interment will follow in the family plot in Holly Hill Cemetery. He will lie in state at the Comforter Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m. today.
