LOUIS F. YOUNG
Mr. Louis F. Young, 77, of Lynn Haven, died Friday, April 21, 2000 at his home. He moved to Panama City Beach with the U.S. Coast Guard and patrolled the beaches during World War II. He was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa and lived in Texas during childhood until he joined the Coast Guard. He lived in Lynn Haven for more than 50 years after coming here from Seadrift, Texas . He loved to garden and he loved children. Mr. Young was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven. His daughter, Teresa Standford, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eldora Young of Lynn Haven; daughter, Shirley Davis and her husband Ralph of Collinsville, Ala.; son, Jamie Young and his wife Pat of Lynn Haven; son in law, Luther E. Stanford Jr. of Panama City; grandchildren: Bobby Wayne Hall and his wife Beverly, Cheryl Combs and her husband Randy, Ricky Hall and his wife Lou Ann, Leann Goza and her husband Stacy, Kim Hamer and her husband Tim, Krystal Beauchamp and her husband Brad, Luther E. Standford III and his wife Trinity; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, April 24, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James A Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at the Lynn Haven Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers are: Aubrey Gilbert, Willis Nelson, Floyd Nelson, Dewayn Newton, Charles Tharp, Randy Combs, Ricky Hall and Tim Hamer.

FRANCES DYKES JONES
Frances Dykes Jones, 92, of 342 Cove Blvd., Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, April 23, 2000, in a local hospital. She was a resident of Bay County since 1944. She operated the Long Beach Gift Shop and worked with her husband at Jones Fish Market on Tarpon Dock. She was a member of Red Birch Circle of the Garden Club. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a charter member of Gulf Beach Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lancey Cedell Dykes and Rayford Jones and a son, Douglas Dykes. She is survived by her son, Frederick Dykes and his wife, Bernice of Panama City; four grandchildren: Nancy Marsden, Sally Lee, Gary Dykes, Teresa Dykes, 10 great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Mattie Lou Casey of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and brother, Harry L. Booth of Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gregory E. George officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Those desiring to may make a donation to the Gulf Beach Baptist Church or your favorite charity in memory of Frances Jones. The family will be at the home of Frederick Dykes 1606 Lake Ave. Panama City, FL.

WILMA 'RUSTI' J. WENGEL
Mrs. Wilma "Rusti" J. Wengel, age 67, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Saturday, April 22, 2000, in Athens, Tenn., after battling lung and heart disease. She was loved by all who were blessed to know her. Mrs. Wengel is survived by her daughters: Andrea Dickerson, Deborah Leach, Cheryl Faller, and Elizabeth Wengel; grandchildren: Kurt, Brian, Crystal, Aimee, Matt, Zachary and Grace, all of whom she utterly spoiled; a sister, Joan Booth and a brother, Jack Nefstead both of Sussex, Wisc. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frederick Wengel. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 27, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, April 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cleotra Mae Wolf, age 70, of 3113 E. WALLACE THOMAS EVERETT
Wallace Thomas Everett, age 73, of Fountain, Fla., passed away Monday, April 24, 2000, in Panama City. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Everett was past commander of the Am. Vets Post No. 231 and a member of the Moose Lodge. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 27, at 10 a.m. in Chapel of Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlos Finch officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 26, at the chapel of Brown Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will be Friday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Swift Creek Cemetery in Lulu, Fla. He was preceded in death by a brother, Whit Edward Everett. Survivors included three sons: Thomas Wallace Everett of Miami, James Robert Everett of Orlando, Francis Whit Everett of Lakeland; one daughter, Rose Mary Randolph of Lakeland; one brother, Bob Everett of Fountain; three sisters: Videll Park of Lynn Haven, Marilyn Carter of Wausau, Ann Long of Panama City; and eight grandchildren. In lieu of flowers those wishing to may make donations to American Heart Association.

GORDAN ALAN VAUGHT II
In memorial of our beloved husband, son and brother, Gordan Alan Vaught II. He was born Aug. 24, 1960, and died in the Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., on April 18, 2000, after a short battle with cancer. He leaves his loving wife, Vicki Vaught of Milton, Fla.; his mother, Sylvia Vaught of Panama City Beach; two sisters, Sandy Buhrman and her husband Mark of Panama City and Pam Vaught of Panama City; several nephews of Panama City; and beloved companion KW. Gordan was cremated on April 24, 2000, at Kent-Forest Lawn Cemetery. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He is in God's hand now along with his father.

Mr. John Edward Pic Sr., age 68, of Lynn Haven, Fla. passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2000. Mr. Pic was born in New Orleans, La., and moved to Panama City in 1971. He is survived by his five children: John E. Pic Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Fairfax Station, Va., Janet A. Pitts and her husband Bill of Panama City, James M. Pic and his wife Michelle of Panama City, Jeffrey A. Pic and his wife Lori of Springfield, Va., and Joel D. Pic and his wife Christy Michelle of Panama City; six grandchildren; a brother, Robert L. Oswald and his wife Vada of Wichita Falls, Texas ; and a special friend, Elaine Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret D. Pic. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, April 29, at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Workentine officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. DON F. WILLIS
Don F. Willis, 81, of 325 S. Bonita Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday morning in his home. He was born in Santa Rosa County and reared in Pensacola, Fla. where he attended school. During World War II he joined the Navy, and following his service enrolled at Florida State University, where he earned a degree in accounting. In 1950, he joined Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund and after opening in 1953 the firm's Panama City office he was admitted in 1954 as one of its partners. He had extensive experience in auditing public utilities, municipalities, nonprofit organizations and a variety of commercial enterprises. He was often called upon for his professional experience in tax matters before the U.S. District Court, and in appeals cases with the U.S. Tax Court and the Internal Revenue Service. His principal concentration included estate tax and income tax planning. He served on numerous committees on Federal and State taxation. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Willis retired from active practice Jan. 31, 1988. He was active in the community, having served as an officer and board member of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, Committee of 100, Rotary Club of Panama City, where he received the Paul Harris Fellow award, Girl's Club, Boy's Club, United Way and Family Service agency. Mr. Willis was active in his church and served as the presiding officer of the Panama City congregation of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 24 years. He is survived by his wife of more than 62 years, Grace M. Willis; three daughters: Carol Nelson and her husband John of Houston, Texas , Donna Zeoli of Deland, Fla., and Betty Shores and her husband Robbie of Panama City; eight grandchildren: Russ and Janet Nelson, Cathy and Wes Johnson, Donnie Nelson, Heather and Dan Peters, Kim Zeoli, Jacob, Robin and Justin Shores and four great-grandchildren: Tyler Nelson, Matthew Nelson, MacKenzie Peters and Parker Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Tolbert presiding. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. Those desiring to do so may make a contribution to the RLDS Building Fund, E. 8th St., Springfield, FL 32401, C/O William Odom.
