EVERETT DOULGAS MOORE SR.
Mr. Everett Douglas Moore Sr., age 77, a resident of Prattville, Ala., died Thursday, April 27, 2000. Funeral services will be held today, April 29, at 2 p.m. from Ridout's Prattville Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Kimbro officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens with Ridout's Prattville Chapel directing. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. Moore of Prattville; four sons: Douglas E. Moore Jr. of Millbrook, Ala., Tony (Charles) Moore and Ricky A. Moore, both of Prattville and Stephen W. Moore of Elmore, Ala.; and eight grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers will be Joe Graham, Walt Jones, Jack Wilson, Bob Dunn, Chuck Johnson and Mike Breedlove.

TORA MAE HORNE PETERSON
Mrs. Tora Mae Horne Peterson passed away Wednesday at the home of her daughter in White City. She had been a longtime resident of Washington County until coming to White City 6 years ago. She was a member of Westville Pentecostal Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Webb Peterson, and her son, Carlus Peterson. Survivors include her children: Evelyn Harcus of White City, J.W. Peterson of Panama City, Evie Lee Whittaker of Grand Ridge, and Lessie Mae Windham of Lynn Haven; a sister, Thelma Manning of Ponce de Leon; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Peterson will lie in state at the home of her daughter, Evelyn Harcus, in White City from Friday afternoon until the funeral today. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. EDT today at White City Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nick Davis, the Rev. Hubert Birge and the Rev. Mark Sturdivant. Interment will follow in the family plot in New Ponce de Leon Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

JOHN EDWARD PIC SR.
Mr. John Edward Pic Sr., age 68, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2000. Mr. Pic was born in New Orleans, La., and moved to Panama City in 1971. He is survived by his five children: John E. Pic Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Fairfax Station, Va., Janet A. Pitts and her husband Bill of Panama City, Fla., James M. Pic and his wife Michelle of Panama City, Fla., Jeffrey A. Pic and his wife Lori of Springfield, Va., and Joel D. Pic and his wife Christy Michelle of Panama City, Fla.; six grandchildren; a brother, Robert L. Oswald and his wife Vada of Wichita Falls, Texas ; and a special friend, Elaine Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret D. Pic. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today, April 29, 2000, at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Workentine officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

IRA JUNIOR BARWICK
Mr. Ira Junior Barwick, 73, of Panama City, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at a local hospital. He has been a resident of the area since 1967, coming here from Chicago, Ill. Mr. Barwick was the former owner of Barwick and Sons Concrete and had worked in the area since 1967. He was a member of the St Andrews Church of God. Mr. Barwick is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emma Jean Barwick of Panama City; daughters, Barbara Cochran and husband Ronald of Newnan, Ga., Sheila Santiago and husband Ed of Chandler, Ariz., Debra Hagan and husband Steve of Englewood, Lovie Ramirez and husband Nahu of Orlando; sons, William Barwick and wife Vicki of Panama City, Glen Barwick of Panama City, Darryl Barwick of Starke; sisters, Juanita Warren of Panama City, Glenda Felkins of South Carolina; brother, Harold Barwick of Tallahassee; numerous nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at the Living Word Fellowship Church with the Rev. Robert Layne officiating. Interment will follow at Callaway Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. today, April 30, and Monday, May 1, 2000. Those desiring, may make donations to the Callaway Cemetery.

CARROLL WESLEY 'PEP' CULPEPPER
Mr. Carroll Wesley "Pep" Culpepper, 80, of Panama City, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1963, settling here after retirement. Mr. Culpepper served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during World War II and in Korea. He retired as a major after 23 years of service. After retiring from the service he worked for Vitro Services at Cape San Blas and the Arizona Chemical Company. He was a member and deacon emeritus of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. Mr. Culpepper is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sara Jane Culpepper of Panama City; daughters, Jane Culpepper of Lilburn, Ga., Shirley McConnon and her husband Ed of Acworth, Ga.; sons, John Culpepper and his wife Becky of Lynn Haven, James Culpepper and his fiance Anita of Lynn Haven, Charles "Chuck" Culpepper and his wife Karla of Callaway; sisters, Khadra Ward of Winter Park, Margaret Wolcott of Oviedo; a brother, Col. Vernon Culpepper, retired, of San Antonio, Texas ; 10 grandchildren: Lisa Whitaker, Tricia Culpepper, Allison and Melissa Culpepper, Jenni McConnon, Alan Culpepper, Cara Culpepper, Taylor, Destree, and Samuel Brown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Culpepper; and a sister, Louise Feders. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2000, at the Kent - Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Conner and the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Members of the Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include the deacons of First Baptist Church, members of the Willie Carter Sunday School Class and Dr. Bruce Josten. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.

SARAH E. 'SALLY' JUMISKO
Mrs. Sarah E. "Sally" Jumisko, 94, of Lake City, Mich., died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, in Cadillac, Mich. Previously of Panama City, Mrs. Jumisko moved to Michigan shortly after her daughter's death in 1996. While in Panama City, she was a member of the Cove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jumisko in 1990 and her daughter Sally Weed. She is survived by her brothers, Bert Morgan of Tennessee and Paul Morgan of Kentucky. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Jumisko will be conducted on Monday, May 1, 2000, at 10 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Adams officiating. The family will be receiving friends this afternoon from 3 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

T.A. 'DAN' DANFORD
Mr. T.A. "Dan" Danford, 76, of Lynn Haven, died Thursday morning, April 27, 2000, in Tallahassee as a result of an automobile accident. Mr. Danford had been a resident of this area since 1991 having moved here from Dallas, Texas . He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy and he made his living in real estate. Mr. Danford loved the country of Nicaragua and was killed on his way there to retire. He is survived by his two sons, Paul and Tim Danford, both of Arlington, Texas ; one daughter, Kathleen Berg and husband Paul of Midlothian, Texas ; three brothers: Tiras James Danford of Leesburg, Ga., Billy Sunday Danford of Lynn Haven, and Robert Jones Danford of Panama City; two sisters, Imogene Ritch and husband Harold of Sunnyhills, and Polly Schrader and husband Paul of Pensacola; seven grandchildren: Kristin, Matthew, Drew, and Steven Danford, all of Arlington, Texas , and Scott, Cody and Brittany Berg, all of Midlothian, Texas ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Danford will be conducted on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Brogdan officiating. Interment will follow in the Millville Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family headquarters will be the Abby at 1213 E. Fifth St. on Monday from 2 until 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Ms. Bonnie York Jones, 44, of Panama City, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Panama City and attended Woodlawn Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. ETHEL ALMA ANDERSON
Mrs. Ethel Alma Anderson, 94, of Wewahitchka, passed away Friday, April 28, 2000 at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Wewahitchka, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers. Survivors include her husband, Jake Anderson of Wewahitchka; one son, Lonnie W. McDaniel and wife Debbie of Wewahitchka; one granddaughter, Cheryl Kelley McDaniel of Selma, Ala.; two grandsons, David Thomas McDaniel and wife Denise of Orville, Ala., and Shawn Patrick McDaniel and wife Angie of Elba, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Jason Thomas McDaniel and wife Tracey of Foley, Ala., and Danielle Rose Welch of Selma, Ala.; one great-great-grandchild, Danielle McDaniel of Foley, Ala.; one very special sister-in-law, Bessie Smith of Wewahitchka; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CDT on today at Roberts Cemetery. Interment will follow.
