HUBERT LEE 'RED' HILL
Mr. Hubert Lee "Red" Hill, 88, of 1000 Clay Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Monday June 5, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in Jackson County, Fla., he was a lifelong resident of this area. He retired as a machinist from the paper mill after 39 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Venus Hill of Panama City. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, June 10, at 10 a.m., in St. Andrews Episcopal Church with the Rev. Marshall Brown officiating.

VALERIE ANN MYERS
Mrs. Valerie Ann Myers, 39, of 1110 W. River Road Wewahitchka, died Saturday June 3, 2000, in her home. She was a lifelong resident of Wewahitchka. She attended public schools of Wewahitchka. She was a faithful and devoted member of St. John Freewell Baptist Church where she served as youth director, pastor aid and choir member until Christ called her home. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ernest C. Myers Sr.; three children: Ernest C. Myers Jr., Lukesha M. Myers and Melissa D. Myers, all of Wewahitchka; three sisters: Rosia Davis (Wayne) of Atmore, Ala., Callie C. Small (Ronnie) and April Riley both of Wewahitchka; seven brothers: Jimmy E. Riley (Ora Dean) of Jonesboro, Ga., Michael C. Riley (Annie) and Narvie L. Riley Jr. all of Wewahitchka, Bobby Riley (Mary), Sammuel (Mary) and the Rev. Dashwood Riley (Nancy) all of Atmore, Ala., and Nelson Riley of Boston, Mass.; two loving step-mothers, Rosia M. Wallace of Atmore, Ala., and Patricia Moore of Wewahitchka; four uncles: Charles Scott (Roberta) and Richard Sheppard, both of Wewahitchka, and Larry Sheppard of Coleman, Fla.; four aunts: Dianne Turner (Willie of Miami, Valene Williams (Carbert) of Wewahitchka, Margie L. Bradley and Algie L. Banks both of Atmore, Ala.; three great-aunts:(very devoted) Ora Mae Hill (Charlie M.) and Mattie Hill all of Wewahitchka, and Josephine Hill of Panama City; great uncle, Thomas Hill (Catherine) of Panama City; father and mother-in law, Roy Myers Sr. and Marvel Myers of Wewahitchka; five brothers-in-law: Roy Myers Jr. (Mildred), Ray Myers (Terri), Kenneth Myers (Malinda) and Arthur Myers all of Wewahitchka, and Aaron Myers of Tallahassee; seven sisters-in-law: Louise Jones (Isiah), Brenda Williams (Jesse) both of Wewahitchka, Minnie Ola Smith of Tallahassee, Annie P. Bracy (the Rev. Walter) and Lizzie M. Colvin (James) both of Mobile, Ala., Jackie Grant (Willie) of Blountstown, and Rachall Myers of Gainesville; four godchildren, Cassandra D. Riley, Terrance D. Riley, Jeremy D. Riley and Raven S. Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Myers will be held Saturday, June 10, at 2p.m. in Carter Temple First Born Church with Dr. Willie E. Bell officiating. Interment to follow in the Williamsburg Cemetery, Wewahitchka, Fla. A wake service will be held this evening in St. John Freewell Baptist Church in Wewahitchka from 7 to 9 p.m. and the remains will lie in state at Carter Temple First Born Church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. The family will receive relatives and friends at 1110 W. Rivers Road, Wewahitchka, Fla.

CARL DONALD PARKER
Carl Donald Parker went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at his home on St. Joe Beach. He was born in Smithville, Ga., to the late Jordan and Jessie Parker. He is survived by his wife, Sara Bonnie Parker of St. Joe Beach; two step-sons, James R. Powell of Elberton, Ga., and Samuel E. Powell of St. Joe Beach; four daughters: Tina Morrell of Albany, Ga., Gina Etheridge of Leslie, Ga., Tammie Wellington of San Marcos, Calif., and Lisa Worrell of Albany; two foster grandchildren, Jimmy Gibson of Lieters Ford, Ind., and Courtney Craft of White City, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Jason and Amanda Gizzard of Albany, Ben Davis of Leslie, Magen Powell of Donaldsonville, Ga., David and Timmie Worrell of Albany, Donnie Worrell of Albany; two step-granddaughters, Tab Carson and Tracie Williams; two step-grandsons, Jason and Allen Chastain; two step great-grandsons, Kenneth and Shawn Williams; two sisters, Lena Parker and Liz Guest both of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews; a brother, Charles Bernard Parker of Lilburn, Ga., and a sister, Betty Womack of Albany, preceded him in death. Visitation will be held this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. EST at Gilmore-Southerland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 10, at 11 a.m. EST in Beach Baptist Church with Bro. David Nichols officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday evening at Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester, Ga., from 7 to 9 p.m. EST with services to be held on Sunday, June 11, at 1 p.m., with Bro. David Nichols officiating. Burial will be held in Oakridge Cemetery in Tifton, Ga. Pallbearers will be Mr. Parker's grandsons: Jason Grizzard, Ben Davis, David Morrell, Jimmy Gibson, Timmie Morrell and son-in-law, Wayne Etheridge.

Funeral Services for Mr. Dale Bruce Sinard, beloved husband, father, and brother, age 52, of 3802 E. 6th Plaza, Panama City, Fla., who died Monday, June 5, 2000, will be held at 2 p.m. today, June 9, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wilfred Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

WILLIAM GUYTON WEBBER SR.
William Guyton Webber Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather went to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on June 8, 2000. He was the son of the late Fred R. and Winnie Manning Webber Sr. Born in Charlotte, N.C., on Sept. 4, 1927, and reared in Nashville, Tenn., Webber graduated from the Duncan Preparatory School for Boys and later from Vanderbilt University with a major in business administration. After several years in the banking business in Tennessee and Georgia, Webber owned and operated restaurants in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Later he owned and operated a hardware business in Dothan, Ala. In 1982, Webber moved from Dothan to Panama City Beach. In 1983, he constructed Coconut Creek, a family entertainment park on Panama City Beach and had owned and operated it since. He had been quoted as saying that he "learned from his failures and is grateful to God, family, friends and employees for his successes." Webber served in the United States Marine Corps in World War II, where he was attached to the Sixth Marine Division and participated in the occupation of North China. He was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Webber is survived by his wife, Mildred Cummings Webber; daughter, Mildred Claire Triece and her husband, Steve; sons: William Guyton Webber Jr., Henry C. Webber and his wife, Laura, Frederick R. Webber II, Michael M. Webber and his wife, Susan; brother, Fred R. Webber Jr. and his wife Anne; sister, Julie Bowring; grandsons, Oliver Webber, Taylor Triece; granddaughters, Courtney Triece and Anna Webber. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ronald T. Ball officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Woodlawn United Methodist Church Building Fund at 213 Carolyn Avenue, Panama City Beach, Fla., 32407 or the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Opal Hill, age 87, of 2410 W. 12th St., Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of the area since 1942, coming here from Gadsden County, Fla., and was a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband of 59 years, Hays D. Hill Sr. of Panama City; a son, Hays D. Hill Jr. and his wife Barbara of Parker; two daughters: Margaret McDaniel and her husband Grady of Lynn Haven and Doris Freeman and her husband Kent of Lawrenceville, Ga.; sisters, Mavis Lambeth of Atlanta, Ga., Lomar McCarley of Hackleburg, Ala., and Ellie Bowers of St. Augustine, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Reid Cameron officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. THOMAS WILLIAM JAMES
Mr. Thomas William James, 78, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at the home of his daughter after a short illness. Tom was born in Springfield, Ill., Oct. 6, 1922. Tom retired from the U.S. Navy with 24 years of honorable service, serving his country in the South Pacific during World War II and Korea. Upon retirement from naval service, he was then employed by the Navy Experimental Diving Unit as an equipment specialist, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Bay Masonic Lodge No. 337 and the Shaddai Shrine Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen C. James. He is survived by two sons, David William James of Brandywine, Md., and Edward Franklin James of West Minister, Md.; two daughters, Bette A. Bruhmuller of Panama City and Christine M. Wolf of Treasure Island, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, June 11, at 1 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded as well as Masonic rites being given by Masonic Lodge No. 337. The lodge will open at noon on Sunday. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of Bill and Bette Bruhmuller, 2159 Briarwood Circle, Panama City.
