JOSEPH L. POSPISIL SR.
Memorial services for Col. (Ret.) Joseph Pospisil Sr., husband of the former Anita Sorrentino, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2000, at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel, 2403 Harrison Ave., with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on U.S. 231. He was born Feb. 23, 1925, in Swanton, Neb., and died Sept. 8, 1999, in Panama City, Fla. Col. Pospisil was raised in Nebraska, attended the University of Nebraska and graduated in 1949 from the U.S. military Academy at West Point with a bachelor of science degree; and a master's degree from Iowa State University. He had a distinguised career in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a navigator and pilot with various commands, including the Strategic Air Command. He also served as assistant professor of mechanics at the Air Force Academy. He retired in 1977 after serving as Deputy Commander at Eglin AFB Base Commander at Patrick AFB and Base Commander at SAMSO in Los Angeles, Calif. He received numerous awards of outstanding merit during his career including the Bronze Star. Upon retirement, Col. Pospisil taught ROTC at Bay High School, math at Gulf Coast Community College and at Tyndall AFB. He was an active member of numerous organizations in the area and a member of Lynn Haven Methodist Church. He married Anita Sorrentino May 6, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas and they had two sons, Stephen and Joseph Jr. He is survived by his son and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Diane Pospisil of Panama City and Pam Pospisil of Woodbridge, Va.; grandchildren, Laura and Lindsey Pospisil of Woodbridge, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Kenneth Bors of Crete, Neb.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia Granberry, Catherina and Robert Wilson, Marie and Robert Lee, all of Lynn Haven; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita and son, Stephen.

BOBBY L. 'BO' SECHREST
Mr. Bobby L. "Bo" Sechrest, age 63, of 1136 West St., No. 5, Parker, Fla., left this earth plane. He was born in High Point, N.C., May 31, 1937. He moved to Panama City in 1981 from Atlanta, Ga. He was a veteran of Korea. He was a past Parker fireman and Parker councilman, past member of Parkway Lion's Club, member of Christ Unity Church of Panama City and a sober member of a 12-step recovery program. "Bo" Sechrest is survived by his ex-wife and caretaker, Juanita Sechrest of Parker; sons, Leslie Sechrest and Jammie Sechrest, both of Georgia; daughters, Lori and Jennie Sechrest also of Georgia, and Dori Puckett and her husband Reed of Lawrenceville, Ga.; step-daughters, Deborah Nixon and her husband Harvey, Beth Maddox, all of Panama City, Bobbi Rosenblum and her husband Dave of Wilmington, Del.; grandchildren, Joey, Jereme, Adam and Bethaney Puckett, Lisa and Robby Nixon, Kenneth and Tara Pickett of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jade Rosenblum; and many friends of Bill W.'s. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, June 25, 2000, from 5 to 6 p.m. with a farewell service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ Unity Church Building Fund, 513 Satsuma Ave., Panama City, FL 32401.

RICHARD B.TANDY
Mr. Richard B. Tandy, 85, of 6603 South Lagoon Drive, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Saturday morning, June 24, 2000, at his residence. Born in Franklin, N.H., he moved here in 1976 from Manchester, Conn. He worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, Conn. for 33 years. Mr. Tandy was an active member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church where he served as a choir member and provided a Tape Ministry to the "shut-ins" of the congregation. He was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge, La Progress Del'Oceanie of Hawaii. Mr. Tandy is survived by his wife, Pauline L. Tedone Tandy; and his children, Marjory E. Tandy, Sandra and Ronald DePietro, Lynn and Frank Tedone; and grandchildren, Laura and Debbie DePietro, Kathy Lee Tedone; and sister, Mona Walter; and nieces and nephews; and his adopted family, Manuel and Celia Martinez. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2000, at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Ball officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Woodland United Methodist Building Fund.

WILLIAM 'BILL' THARPE
Mr. William "Bill" Tharpe, age 83, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2000, at a local hospital. He retired in 1983 and moved to Bay Point. He had worked at St. Joe Paper Company, and founded Birmingham Packaging Corp. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, Fla., and the LLL Sunday School Class. Mr. Tharpe was a former member of the Downtown Lions Club, the Chamber of Commerce, committee of 100. He was a lobbyist for Congress for the betterment of Industry in the State of Alabama. Mr. Tharpe was founder and director and vice president of the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters. He served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II. He was a member of Krewe of Dominique and served in the court. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Arnold Tharpe of Bay Point, Fla.; sons, William Blaine Tharpe and his wife Lucy of Birmingham, Ala.; Arnold Craig Tharpe and his wife Kathie of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, William Blaine Tharpe, Jr., Lee Bryan Tharp, Sarah Virginia Tharpe, Catherine Ragan Tharpe Cantrelle and William Taylor Tharpe; great grandchild, William Blaine Tharpe III; sister, Alma Sansom of Flomanton, Ala. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as pallbearers are, Blaine Tharpe Jr., Bryan Tharpe, Cord Cantrelle, Wayne Thompson, Kenny Arnold and Charles Herman Sansom. Honorary Pallbearer, Taylor Tharpe. KATHERINE DONELLE WEST
Katherine Donelle West, 41, of 11531 Poston Road in Panama City, died Friday afternoon, June 23, 2000. A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Katherine lived in the Panama City area for three years after moving here from Ohio. She was retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Major, retiring March 17, at Tyndall Air Force Base. She is survived by her husband, Mark West; two sons, Donald and Victor West; parents, Donald and Jane Blaisdell; and one brother, Robert Blaisdell. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at the Tyndall Air Force Base Chapel with Chaplain Buddy Walker officiating.

EUGENE MILLARD CALLAWAY
Eugene Millard Callaway, 89, of 1500 E. 26th St., in Lynn Haven, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in his home. He was a retired pipe fitter and minister. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Barnes Callaway of Lynn Haven; two daughters, Barbara C. Gaddie and husband Bill of Lynn Haven, Cynthia Johnson Watkins and husband Wayne of Chipley; son, Gary E. Callaway and wife Brenda of Panama City; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Doug Newton, the Rev. Tony Antonelli, the Rev. Fred Melvin, the Rev. Robert Hall, the Rev. Dan Norman and the Rev. Mike Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Asbury College Scholarship Fund, the Juvenile Detention Ministry, or the Emerald Coast Hospice in memory of Eugene Callaway.

ALAN J. HAGENBUCH
The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Hagenbuch, 67, of Enterprise, Ala., died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in the Medical Center Enterprise after an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Green Hill Presbyterian Church in Enterprise, Ala., with the Rev. Morton McMillan, the Rev. Louie F. Reynolds and the Rev. Dan Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowtown Cemetery with Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will be placed into the church one hour before service time. Flowers will be accepted or donations could be made to the Green Hill Presbyterian Church, PO Box 310637, Enterprise, AL 36331. Dr. Hagenbuch was a native of New Jersey and had lived in Enterprise for the past five years. He was a graduate of Western Maryland University with a Bachelor Degree and then earned his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, N.J. The Rev. Hagenbuch received his Doctorate of Ministry from Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, Pa. He became ordained Presbyterian Minister in 1958 after which he served churches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and Alabama. He had served the Green Hill Presbyterian Church in Enterprise for the past five years. He was a member of the Jubilee Masonic Lodge No. 922, Doer Shrine Club, Alcazar Temple and the Scottish Rites. He was also a Rotarian. He was presently serving as a part time faculty member at Enterprise State Jr. College, teaching religion and philosophy. Survivors include his wife, Dr. Ellaine Gallaspy Hagenbuch of Enterprise; mother, Louise Hagenbuch of Carlisle, Penn.; daughter, Deborah Myers of Boca Raton, Fla.; two sons, Alan J. Hagenbuch of Alpharetta, Ga., and John Hagenbuch of Yakima, Wash.; sister, Jean Kretzing of Carlisle, Penn.; brother, Paul Hagenbuch of Carlisle, Penn.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Annie Maxine Hicks, 64, of Panama City, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at her home. Born in Altha, Fla., she was a lifelong resident of Bay County. She was a mother and homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow in Fountain Cemetery.

Mrs. Dorothy L. Kordish, 62, of Panama City, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at her home. Born in Oxford, Miss., she moved here in 1977 from Fairfield, Calif. She was a nurse and was a very active member of the Galilean Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Emerald Coast Hospice in memory of Mrs. Kordish.
