ISOBEL 'ELLA' BOE
Mrs. Isobel "Ella" Boe, 65, of Panama City, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at her home. Born in Scotland, she moved here in 1971 from Scotland. She was a homemaker and great mother. She was also a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. A son, Jeffery Boe, precedes Mrs. Boe in death. She is survived by her husband, Bertel Boe, of Panama City; one son, Steve Boe and wife Amy of Lynn Haven; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Tountasakis and husband Mile of Alfred, N.Y.; brothers and sisters: Harry McFarland, Charlie McFarland, Peggy Taylor, Agnes Legget, Tommy McFarland, Norma Kelly, Marie Foster, Nor Forsyth and Ian McFarland; five grandchildren: Walt Spangler, Steven Spangler, Jenny Spangler, Jeff Boe and Ryan Boe. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at 10 a.m. in St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Monsignor William Crowe presiding. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary services to be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul College fund at St. Dominic's in memory of Mrs. Boe.

RONNY COGSWELL
Mr. Ronny Cogswell, 54, of Callaway, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at his home. Born in Dallas, Texas, he was a longtime resident of Bay County and was self-employed. Mr. Cogswell is survived by his mother, Etta Cogswell of Callaway; one daughter, Sherri Star of Ala.; two brothers, Donald Cogswell of Davie and David Cogswell of Jasper; two sisters, Helen Hill of West Bay and Linda O'Pry of Panama City; one grandchild, Jacob Star of Alabama; 10 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at 6 p.m. in the home of Mr. Cogswell's niece at 4305 E. Highway 98, in Parker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Cogswell.

JAMES ROBERT HARMON SR.
James Robert Harmon Sr., departed this life Saturday morning, August 26, 2000, under the compassionate care of Hospice and with his immediate family at the bedside. He was born May 19, 1922, in Bessemer, Ala. He served in the South Pacific in World War II in the U.S. Marine Corp. After a long career with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., he returned to Bay County in 1959 as a small business owner with Mount-Harmon Men's Wear and Van Kleeck Hardware of Lynn Haven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Gibson and Velma Shaddix Harmon; a brother, Roy Edward Harmon; and a sister, Ruth Tuck. He is survived by Marzelle Mount Harmon, his loving wife of 58 years; a daughter, Pam Fenn and her husband, Mike of Palm Bay; two sons, Bob Harmon of Jackson, Miss., and Alan Harmon and his wife, Joan of Jacksonville; sister, Mable Patrick of Birmingham, Ala.; brother, Pete Harmon and his wife, Mildred of Hueytown, Ala.; sister-in-law, Reba Harmon of San Antonio, Texas; brother-in-law, Ronald Tuck of Brownsville, Ala.; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lynn Haven, having accepted Christ as his savior at age 10. He served many happy and fruitful years with the Harry Jackson Masonic Lodge and in the Panama City Shrine Club. He loved all children and was deeply involved in children's charity activities. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 28, at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Rayburn conducting and the Rev. Jim Kirkland assisting. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to Hospice of Northwest Florida or the W.F. Richardson Transportation Fund of Panama City Shrine.

PEARLE MAE HEARN
Mrs. Pearle Mae Hearn, 103, of 224 San Gabriel St., Panama City Beach, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at a local nursing home. She has been a resident of Bay County since 1969 coming here from Minden, Neb. Mrs. Hearn was a school teacher in her earlier years. She graduated from Nebraska Weslyan University with a degree in Botany and loved to teach Sunday School. She was an avid reader, member of the Forest Park United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Ameranth, and White Shrine, past president of the Nebraska Federated Garden Clubs, and a director of National Garden Clubs. She loved to grow flowers and plants and travel with her second husband. Mrs. Hearn is survived by a son, Mr. Loren W. Parkinson and wife Dorothy of Panama City Beach; a daughter-in-law, Judy Parkinson of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Mrs. Hearn was preceded in death by her husbands, William Parkinson of Omaha, Neb., Thomas Jensen of Minden, Neb., and Sam B. Hearn of Panama City Beach, a son, Gerald Parkinson, and a daughter, Shirley Parkinson. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

CLARENCE EDWIN MEDLOCK
Clarence Edwin Medlock, 79, of Marianna died Saturday morning, Aug. 26, 2000, at Jackson Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was retired from the Jackson County Board of Commissioners as a maintenance supervisor after 23 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in North Africa and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Pam Medlock of Marianna; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzzie and Allen Legear of Marianna; one sister, Gwen Medlock of Marianna; four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren. Graveside funeral services with military rites will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at Riverside Cemetery in Marianna with the Rev. Roland Rabon officiating and James and James Funeral Home, Maddox Chapel, directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Jackson County United Way Community Fund, c/o Nicole Capps, Early Childhood Services, 2869 St. Clair St., Marianna, FL 32446.

NETTIE MAE ROBERTS
Mrs. Nettie Mae Roberts, 75, of 2418 Kirkwell Ave., Lynn Haven, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at a local hospital. Mrs. Roberts has been a lifelong resident of Bay County, and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Roberts is survived by four sons: James L. Roberts and wife Darlene of Sharon, S.C., Byrd C. Roberts, of Oviedo, Jackie R. Roberts of Lynn Haven and John Roberts of Panama City; two daughters, Annette Roberts of Panama City and Alice Johnson and husband Joe of Lynn Haven; a sister, Robbie Forehand of Panama City; and a brother, James C. Posey and wife Betty of Bayou George; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by a son, Virgil Lee Roberts. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 27, 2000, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Key officiating. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Rick Capote, Donald Halley, Kevin Shellnut, Jason Henderson, Billy Clark and Doug Roberts.

LOCA MAE CASSIDY
Mrs. Loca Mae Cassidy, 86, of Ponce de Leon, Fla., died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2000, in Tallahassee. Born on April 8, 1914, in Walton County, she was the daughter of the late Collie and Della Prescott Bowden. Mrs. Cassidy was a lifelong resident of Ponce de Leon. She was a Baptist by faith and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Cassidy was well-known for her cooking. She also loved quilting and was a very active member of her community. She stood in the shadows so others could shine. Mrs. Cassidy was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Douglas and Roy Cassidy; one great-great-granddaughter, Regina Ann Wood. Mrs. Loca Mae Cassidy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Dudley Cassidy of Ponce de Leon, (they were married on March 24, 1930); son, Wilmer and his wife Beryl of Tallahassee; three daughters: Joyce Weimorts of DeFuniak Springs, Lilly Miller of Fort Walton Beach and Shirley Reynolds of DeFuniak Springs; two sisters, Irene Ammons and Dot Hawkins of DeFuniak Springs; one special granddaughter, Becky Barker of Tallahassee; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Cassidy will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, in the Comander Funeral Home Chapel, 21 West Main St., DeFuniak Springs, with the Rev. Phil McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ponce de Leon Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Aug. 28, 2000, in the Commander Funeral Home Chapel. Pall bearers for Mrs. Cassidy will be: Benji Rushing, Bob Barker, Little Don Turner, Randy Cassidy, Bill Cassidy, Bruce Cassidy, Ronnie Joe Weimorts and Billy Mackie.
