BARBARA JUNE EIDEX
Barbara June Eidex, 73, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2000. She was retired and did voluntary work for many community organizations. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Triantos and Celia Eidex; one son, Max Eidex; two granddaughters, Laura Triantos and Charlotte Parker; mother, Ruth Zimmerman; brother, Bill Sellers; great grandson, Zack Parker; nephew, Mike Sellers and children. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 28, at 3 p.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with Al Rowell, the associate minister of United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Vistation will be held today, Sept. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Juanita Hover, 73, of Southport, Fla., formally a 20-year resident of Fountain, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, in Glen Cove Nursing Pavilion. Born inWashington County, Fla., she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Southport. Her parents, Silas and Ola Carter;her husband, Harry A. Hover Jr.; a son, Harry A. Hover III; a daughter, Judy Diane Hover; brothers, William, Edward and Ben Carter precede her in death. Mrs. Hover is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Parker and husband Howard of Sikeston, Mo., Mary Pilgrim and husband Jim of Youngstown, Fla.; one brother, John Carter and wife Christine of Wewahitchka; three sisters, Armetta Henkel and husband Lou of Detroit, Mich., Opal Thome and husband Dick of Anchorage, Alaska, Gloria Wilkerson of Southport; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Southport with the Rev. Scott Whetstone officiating. Inurnment will follow in Fountain Cemetery with the Rev. David Halstead officiating.

ROBERT FRANK MacDONALD JR.
Robert Frank MacDonald Jr., 70, of 102 N. East Ave., Panama City, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, in his home. He was a retired Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force having served during World War II and the Vietnam War. He had been a resident of Panama City since 1970 moving here from Montgomery, Ala. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Scott MacDonald; and a sister, Elizabeth Vance. He is survived by his wife, Ann MacDonald; two sons, Warren Junior MacDonald, both of Panama City, Glenn MacDonald of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Melissa Ann Mangum of Panama City, Bobbie June Nation of Tennessee; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

DOROTHY 'DOT' MORGAN
Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Morgan, 77, of Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, in a Columbia S.C., hospital. Born in Sumter, S.C., she moved here 51 years ago from Point Washington, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church where she was a member of Homemakers Sunday School Class. Her husband, Cecil Warren Morgan Sr., and a son, James Ezra Morgan, precede her in death. Mrs. Morgan is survived by two sons, Buddy Morgan and wife Pauline, Don Morgan all of Panama City; three daughters, Joyce Ann Danley and husband Buddy of Lynn Haven, Rhonda Conrad and husband Johnny of White Western, Fla., Pamela Hagler and husband Frankie of Southport; one daughter-in-law, Gradi Morgan of Panama City; one brother, Billy Morris and wife Mary Ann of Atlanta; three sisters, Elma Berry, Alma Ruth Berry and husband Walter, Marcelle Hinton and husband Tom all of Sumter, S.C.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m. in Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Point Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

MAUDE BREEDON POWELL
Maude Breedon Powell, 101, of Panama City, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, in a local nursing home. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1957 moving here from Illinois. She was a member of Bayou George Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James W. Breedon and Frank J. Powell; and four brothers. She is survived by two sons, Roy Breedon and his wife, Lula Mae, Robert Breedon, all of Panama City; three grandchildren, Robert H. Breedon, James W. Breedon and Paula C. Schmitz; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery with Minister Dennis Dilley officiating. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Bayou George Christian Church, 7814 Hwy. 2301, Panama City, FL 32404 in memory of Maude Powell.

CARA QUATTLEBAUM
Cara Quattlebaum, age 73, of Chipley, Fla., passed from this life on Sept. 25, 2000, in Chipley, Fla. He was a lifelong resident of Chipley. He was of Freewill Baptist Faith and a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of Foreign Wars and member of N.J. Dorch Post No. 10085, Vernon, Fla. The funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m., at Wachob Chapel with the Rev. Cloys Joiner officiating. Burial will follow in Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 27, at Wachob Chapel. Survivors are one sister, Nellie and husband Jimmy Casper of Chipley; two sisters-in-law, Rhoda Quattlebaum and Virginia Quattlebaum of Chipley; several nieces and nephews and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.

KAY FRANCES REDMOND
Funeral services for Mrs. Kay Frances Redmond, 54, lifelong resident of Panama City, will be held today at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Key officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jim Redmond Sr., David Payne, William Winkle, Jim Redmond Jr., Mike Key and William Bigelow. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to "Salvage Santa" or to "Make A Wish Foundation" in memory of Mrs. Redmond.

LILLIAN IRENE WHITTINGTON
Lillian Irene Wittington, 96 of Panama City, Fla., died Monday Sept. 25, 2000, in a local nursing home. She was a longtime resident of Bay County moving here from Marianna, Fla. She was a retired school teacher. She attended Forest Park United Methodist Church and was a member of NARFE. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wayne Whittington; and an infant son. She is survived by several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today at 9 a.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Ken Taylor officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. EDT in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Ga.

EVELYN MCNEAIL
Mrs. Evelyn McNeail, 85, of 1005 E. Eighth St., passed away Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Bay Medical Center. Born in Clayton, Ala., she had been a resident of Panama City for almost 60 years. She attended the public schools of Washington County. She retired from the Bay County School System Food Service Department, Rosenwald High School, after 32 years of service. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church, where for many years she served in the Sunday School department, in the Missionary Society, and as a food service worker in the church fellowship hall. Several years ago she was tapped for membership in the Golden Age Membership Club because of her longevity in dedicated service to her church. Mrs. McNeail is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nellie C. (Allen) Washington of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ms. Rosemary Dozier of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one son, Rudolph (Vera) McNeil of Lakeland, Fla.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Paulette (Domenico) Fossati of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Valette (Ronald) Farwell of Clovis, Ca., Miss Carallen Washington of Fayetteville, N.C., and Miss Tisa McNeil of Lakeland, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren, Domenica Fossati, Victoria, Veronica and Sydney Farwell, and Tashalya, Disquan and Annette Jackson; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Mayo of Louisville, Ga; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. McNeail will be held Friday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church with Dr. Joseph Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the funeral. Visitation will be held this afternoon from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at Battle Memorial Funeral Home.
