Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Mae Stallings, age 71, of 3718 E. 6th Plaza, Panama City, Fla., who died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000 at Springfield Community Church with the Rev. J. W. Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Lynn Haven Cemetery. CARLO UGOCCIONI
Mr. Carlo Ugoccioni, 77, of 2917 Treasure Circle, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at a local hospital. He has been a resident of the area since 1997, coming here from Atlanta, Ga. Mr. Ugoccioni was self-employed as a general contractor and was an excellent builder. He was loved by his family and friends and was always ready to help his friends and family. Mr. Ugoccioni enjoyed playing golf and hardly ever cheated at it. He is survived by his daughter, Anna Marie Schuette of Doraville, Ga. and a grandson, William Schuette of Doraville Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 18 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. David T. O'Shea officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Mark Schuette, Bob Pillivant, Harold Anderson, Gary Barr, James Agllegt, and Regis Allegt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, Dec. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary Service to be held at 7 p.m.

ELVA LOUISE DAVIS
Elva Louise Davis, age 84, of Bonifay, passed away Friday Dec. 15, 2000, at Mariner Health Care in Bonifay, Fla. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held today, Dec. 17, 2000 at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rodney Culpepper and the Rev. Jerry Chumley officiating. Burial will be in Bonifay Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband James Davis of Bonifay; brother, Shelton Bedsole of Pensacola; two sisters, Easter Ward of Montgomery, Ala. and Pauline Presley of Dothan, Ala. Mrs. Davis was a member of Bonifay Garden Club and a member of Bonifay First Baptist Church. The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations be made to the Hospice of the Emerald Coast and the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis' nephews will serve as active pallbearers.

DONALD DURDEN
Mr. Donald Durden, 67, of 1203 Yale Ave. in Panama City died Friday Dec. 13 2000, at his home. He had been a resident of the area since 1996 after moving here from Conroe, TX. He worked as a code enforcement officer for the City of Panama City and was a member of the Living Word Fellowship in Panama City. He is survived by his wife Toya Durden of Panama City; three daughters: Renee' Comley of Plano, TX, Kimberly Mazzola and her husband Johnny of Charlotte, N.C., and Cheryl Durden of Conway, Ark.; son, John D. Durden of Panama City; and grandchildren, Christina Comley and Adam Faul. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 19, 2000 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Haywood Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday Dec. 18, 2000.

GRADY G. HOOKER
Grady G. Hooker, 89, of 1502 Virginia Ave. in Lynn Haven died Friday Dec. 15, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a native of Spray, N.C. and had been living in Bay County since 1964. Mr. Hooker was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Hooker is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Naomi and Glenn Walker of Lynn Haven, and Faye and Mitchell Murrow of Mount Holly, N.C.; two sisters, Minnie Hodges of Ruffin, N.C. and Pearl Harpe of Woodbridge, Va.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Graveside services and burial will be conducted Monday Dec. 18 at 1 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Mitchell Murrow officiating.

RUSSELL WILLIAM SHANNONHOUSE
Mr. Russell W. Shannonhouse of Lynn Haven passed away quietly at home Friday Dec. 15, 2000, after a long illness. No services will be held. Russell Shannonhouse was born on Aug. 2, 1921 in Edgewood Arsenal, Md., the son of Col. John G. and Lulu M. Shannonhouse, formerly of Ridge Road, Nevada City, Calif. In January 1961, after 20 years of service, Russell Shannonhouse retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief aviation ordnanceman. His 20 years of distinguished naval service included assignment to the U.S. Naval Training Center in Sand Diego, Calif. (1940-1941); Kaneohe Naval Air Station in Hawaii (1941-1943); Heavy Patrol Squadron VP-19 (PB4-Y2) Sangy Point, Philippines (1944-1945); Aviation Supply Depot in Samar, Philippines (1945-1946); Patrol Squadron VPB-119 (1946-1947); Patrol Squadron VP-7 (1947-1949); Naval Air Station in Alameda, Calif. (1949-1951); USS Philippine Sca CV-47 (1951-1953, Korean War); FASRON 8 and Patrol Squadron VP-19 (P2-V Neptunes) in Alameda, Calif. (1954-1959); Naval Air Station Moffet Field Attack Squadron VA-125 in Sunnyvale, Calif. (1959-1961). His naval fields of expertise included aviation ordnance, combat air crewman, special weapons and ordnance, and aviation fire control coordinator. After retirement from the U.S. Navy, Russell went to work as a planner and estimator at the Naval Air Repair Facility in Alameda, Calif. Upon retirement from civil service, Russell Shannonhouse and his late wife Georgia Frances Purkett of Leadville, Colo., returned to Nevada City, Calif. in 1976. He was honored in 1995 as a Pearl Harbor survivor by Presidential decree. Upon the death of his wife Georgia in Dec. 1999, Russell moved to Lynn Haven to live with his son John and his daughter-in-law Susie. Russell is survived by his son Capt. John R. Shannonhouse USCG (Ret.) and his daughter-in-law Susie of Lynn Haven; grandson Greg and his wife Allison of Lynn Haven; great-granddaughter Brittany of Lynn Haven; and sister Jean Knowlton of Fresno, Calif. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. A special thanks to Hospice of Northwest Florida. NORMAN URANSON
Norman Uranson was born on Nov. 13, 1912, in Bryn Mawr, Pa., to Louis and Ida Uranson. He died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at the age of 88 years. He graduated from Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pa., in 1930 and received his B.S. in 1934 and his M.S. in 1939 in science and chemistry from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. During that time he also attended Temple University for teacher certification. In 1940 he was commissioned in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant in the Quarter Master Corps. And rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel upon discharge in 1945. He worked briefly for the civil service in Atlanta, Ga., and in 1947 he moved his family to Dallas, Texas, and became a chemist and an instructor at the School of Mortuary Science. From 1957 to 1959, he assisted in establishing and was an Assistant Director for the Graduate Research Center at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. In 1959, he and his family returned to Dallas where he was employed by Texas Instruments until his retirement in 1978. Following his service as a consultant at Texas Instruments, he and his wife Clare moved to Panama City. Four years ago, Norman and Clare relocated to Sherman to be near their daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Edwards Owens. Mr. Uranson is survived by his wife of 59 years, Clare Maddox Uranson and their two daughters, Betsy Owens and husband Edward of Sherman and Beverly Besedick and husband Michael of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Craig Owens and wife Annemarie of Carrolloton, TX, Claire Hearne and husband Ryan of Nacogdoches, TX, Katherine Besedick of Alexandria, VA, Blaine Besedick of Albuquerque, NM; three great-grandchildren, Arden and Alexander Hearne and Harrison Owens. He is also survived by one sister, Bella Berman and husband Bruce of Bethesda, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Betty Posniak. During WWII, Mr. Uranson received the Army Commendation Medal. While at Texas Instruments, he wrote and compiled the first TI safety manual and was a manager of a missile program at Texas Instruments. He was a member of the Lynn Haven Rotary Club and affiliated with Grayson Country Club as a senior member. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a 50-year Mason and a member of Travis Lodge No. 117. As late as 1999, he was an active member of the American Chemical Society. Mr. Uranson was a longtime active Methodist at Kessler Park and University Park in Dallas where he served on the Board of Stewards, as Superintendent of Church Schools and as joint president of the Sunday school classes with his wife, Clare, and numerous other committees. His abounding love toward his family and warmth towards those he met lasted throughout his lifetime. A memorial service will be held Monday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. in Hopkins Chapel of the First Methodist Church of Sherman, 401 N. Elm, Sherman, Texas and graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park, Greenville Ave. at Restland Road, Dallas. Honorary pallbearers are: Blaine Besedick, Michael Besedick, Norman Carlson, Ryan Hearne, Maxwell Maddox, Wesley Maddox, Craig Owens, Edward Owens and Herman Stoner. If desired, memorials may be sent to Home Hospice of Grayson County, PO Box 2306, Sherman, TX 75091 or at First United Methodist Church, 401 N. Elm, Sherman, TX 75090.

LOUISE ANN MASON
Mrs. Louise Ann Mason, 53, of Callaway died Friday Dec. 15, 2000, in a local hospital. Born in Washington, D.C., she moved here in October 1989 from Tucson, Ariz. She was a secretary for Atlas Miracle Strip Moving and Storage and attended the Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Tyndall Yacht Club. Her father Louis H. Smith II and a sister, Lori Foster, precedes Mason in death. She is survived by her mother Olivia Fay Clark of Dallas, TX; her husband, Bruce J. Mason of Callaway; daughter Jenice Eubanks and husband Woodford C. of Panama City; three brothers, Louis Harrison Smith III of Tampa, Larry R. Smith of Dallas, and Lenny M. Smith of Quinlin, TX; two grandchildren, Stone Ann Eubanks and Justin Wayne Eubanks II, both of Panama City. A memorial service will be conducted Monday Dec. 18, 2000 at 6 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Father Andrew Lwandowski officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catholic Social Services Organization in memory of Mrs. Mason.

Funeral service for Mr. Howard William Reece, 84, of Lynn Haven will be held today Dec. 17, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ with Mr. Jim Holsombake officiating.
