BILLY WAYNE KAY
Mr. Billy Wayne Kay, age 53, of 7303 S. Deer Haven Road, Southport, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of the area, was a member of the Harvest Worship Center, and employed by Gulf Power at the Lansing-Smith Generating Plant for over 30 years. Mr. Kay served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rita Kay of Southport; two daughters, Crystal Kay of Lynn Haven, Fla.; and Stephanie Nichole Kay of Southport; a special nephew, Jason Cox of Southport; three sisters, Eula Pitts of Bayou George, Fla.; Pat Musson and her husband Richard of Southport; and Marie Jordan and her husband Jimmye of Lynn Haven; nieces and nephews, Debbie Cowan and her husband Gary; Angie Trusty and her husband Michael; Mary Ann Upfold and her husband David; Amm Pitts and his wife Nancy; Cindy Bivins and her husband Randy; Sherry Reid and her husband Ronnie; Ricky Musson and his wife Angie; Tracy Crooks and her husband Vinny; Tina Bullard and her husband Dave; and Jimmye Jordan Jr. and his wife Stacy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Effie Nunnemaker; father, Charles (Babe) Nunnemaker and a sister, Delorise Cartwright. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John R. Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as pallbearers are: Bobby Brock, Harold Neilens, Keith Hathaway, Joel Starling, Larry Adkison, and Clay Long. Honorary pallbearers will be all employees of Gulf Power Lansing-Smith Generating Plant. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, today, Jan. 28, 2001, from 2 to 4:00 p.m.

DIANE M. LEDOUX
Mrs. Diane M. LeDoux, 101, of Southport, Fla., died Friday evening, Jan. 26, 2001, in a local nursing home. Born in Norwich, Conn., she moved here in 1992 from Springfield, Mass. She was a homemaker and Catholic by faith. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. in the New Southport Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home before the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

FRANK MESSER
Mr. Frank Messer, 73, died Thursday morning, Jan. 25, 2001 in a local hospital. Born in Bonifay, Fla. he moved here in 1963 from Phenix City, Ala. He was a commercial food representative for Benson Wholesale Grocery Inc. and he also served as caretaker of the Emerald Spring Ranch for over 28 years. Mr. Masser was a member of the Hiland Park Baptist Church

JOHN PARKER
Dr. John Parker died at his residence Friday, Jan. 26, 2001. Dr. Parker lived in this area since 1950, having moved here from Griffin, Ga. He was a past member of the Lions Club and Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the Florida State Chiropractic Association. Dr. Parker was a chiropractor for 44 years. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Marianna. Dr. Parker is preceded in death by his son John Gordon Parker Jr., in 1967. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Mrs. Edna Parker, of Marianna; his daughter, Terry Pope and husband Wilkie of Montgomery, Ala. Dr. Parker is also survived by one son, Wilson Enfinger and wife Linda of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Rev. Charles Parker of Mexico Beach; one sister, Virginia Troutman of Denver, Colo. Three grandchildren also survive Dr. Parker. Dr. Parker also had numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown, Fla., with the pastors Michael Petty and Roland officiating. The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to Hospice of the Emerald Coast at 2879B Madison Street, Marianna, Fla. 32446. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge arrangements.

THADDEUS J. "TED" BARTNICK
Mr. Thaddues J. "Ted" Bartnick, 85, husband of Jeanne Tessier Bartnick, died Jan. 27, 2001, at Gulf Coast Medical Center. He was born in Cohoes, N.Y. Mr. Bartnick was a graduate of Waterford High School and in 1932-33 was a member of the Waterford Champion Varsity Basketball team and the Soccer Championship team. Mr. Bartnick was an avid bowler and golfer. In 1948-50 he was grand knight of the Cohoes Council No. 192 of the Knights of Columbus. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Cohoes, as well as St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Panama City Beach, Fla. Mr. Bartnick worked as a salesman for Graves and Rodgers Liquor Inc. in Albany, N.Y., for 34 years before retirement. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Mary Bartnick; and his brothers, Edmund and Edward Bartnick. Survivors in addition to his wife are two sisters, Stasia Mendel of Watervliet, N.Y., and Helen Hoff of Albany, N.Y. A Rosary and funeral mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church with Father David O'Shea, pastor, officiating.

MICHAEL RALPH CLARK JR.
Mr. Michael "Mike" Ralph Clark Jr., 34, of Chipley, Fla., died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at his residence. Born in Morgantown, W.Va., he moved to this area in 1986. He was a self-employed dry-wall contractor and attended Southport Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife Tina Clark of Chipley; parents Ralph Clark of Morgantown and Edith Morris of Spraggs, Pa.; three sons, Michael Lee Clark and Brentley Clark, both of Morgantown, and Stephen Drake Clark of Chipley; one daughter, Jacquelyn Cooper of Eastpoint, Fla.; three stepsons, James Boyers, Michael Boyers and Robert Lee Boyers Jr. and their mother Charolette Marshall, all of Panama City; three brothers, Stacey Clark of Chester, W.Va., Stephen Clark of Washington, Pa., and James Clark of Kirby, Pa.; as well as a host of close friends. Memorial service for Mr. Clark will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 1 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel in Lynn Haven.

CHARLES EDWARD CONWAY JR.
Funeral service for Mr. Charles Edward Conway, Jr., 52, of 1024 Amherst Road, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at his home, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 29, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Father Pete Zalewski officiating. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Tim Strong, Phil Schultz, Jimmy Conway, Rob Schultz and Don Conway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Robert Gore died Jan. 24, 2001, at the Panama City Nursing Center, Panama City, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Vera Gore of Panama City; daughter, Therese Gore of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughter-in-law Rebecca Stevens of Panama City Beach, Fla.; and nieces and nephews in North and South Carolina. A private memorial service with Dr. Ken Taylor of Forest Park United Methodist Church, Panama City, will be held at a later date.

RUBY MAE HILL
Mrs. Ruby Mae Hill, 101, of Blountstown died Saturday in Blountstown Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Hill was born in Worth County, Ga., and had lived in Blountstown since 1919. She was a member of Williams Memorial Methodist Church in Scotts Ferry. She was preceded in death by two sons, Oron and Charles Hill; and a granddaughter, Susan Griffin. Survivors include a son William A. Hill of Panama City Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Ione Tucker and Mrs. Odell Griffin of Blountstown; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Bellman and the Rev. Paul Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home Blountstown.

MARIE HARRELSON JOHNSON
Mrs. Marie Johnson, 72, of 104 Hill Drive, Callaway, passed away early Saturday morning in a local hospital. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Mr. Samuel Johnson of Callaway; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. Terry Johnson and wife, Connie Marie of Lafayette, La., and Mr. Rick Johnson and wife, Ann Marie of Palm Harbor, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. Betty Carter and the Rev. Wilfred Carter; grandchildren, Jeremy, Chad, Stephanie Marie, Savannah Marie, Sierra Marie; and many other close family members too numerous to mention. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker as well as a partner to her husband both during his career in the Air Force and as a local private business owner before their retirement. Marie's life travels led her through Italy, Germany, Japan and all across the United States. She was a member of Hiland Park United Pentecostal Church as well as First Pentecostal Church of Chipley, Fla. She was recently honored as "Mother of the Year" for her service to church community in Chipley. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Hiland Park United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Wilfred Carter, the Rev. James Caudle, the Rev. Ron Baker and the Rev. Robert Glass officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Charles Walker, Chris Walker, Gary Johnson, Roger Andrews, Terry Hinote and Ed Burns. EDNA SIMMONS
Mrs. Edna Simmons, a longtime resident of Freeport, Fla., expired Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at St. Andrews Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 13, 1905, in Bruce, Fla., and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Faye Clemmons Burkett of Simmons Bayou and Joanne Davis Yates and husband Dewey of Panama City; grandchildren, William A. Davis IV and wife Teresa, Beth Davis, Bobby Burkett, Pat Burkett Johnson and husband Jimmy Johnson, Glenda Burkett Kennedy and husband the Rev. James Kennedy, Mike Burkett and wife Peggy, and Gregg Burkett; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, John Wesley Clemmons and James Simmons; two sons-in-law, the Rev. William A. Davis III and G. Lawrence Burkett; and one great-grandson Brian Burkett. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Black Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor T.C. Moon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Jan. 29. Asked to serve as pallbearers are grandsons Bobby Burkett, Mike Burkett, Gregg Burkett, William A. Davis IV, the Rev. James Kennedy and Jimmy Johnson.

MARION THERESA WILLS
Marion Theresa Wills, 75, of 422 South Star Ave., Callaway, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, in her home. She was a retired civil service nurse. She had been a resident of Callaway for five years moving here from San Bernardino, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Everett Wills Jr. She is survived by a son Charles E. Wills III and his wife Judy A. of Callaway; three grandchildren, Theresa Young of Macon, Ga., Charles E. Wills IV and Sherry M. Reedy, both of Panama City; five great-grandchildren; and a sister Angus Yike of New Jersey. Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Hospice of the Emerald Coast in memory of Marion Wills.
