ALICE MARIE KOPP
Alice Marie Kopp, 60, of Greenhead, Fla., died Friday, April 27, 2001, at her home. She was a native of Eight Mile, Ala., and had been living in Greenhead since 1998, moving here from Avon Park, Fla. She served as a nurse's aid and was a member of BAHAI church. Mrs. Kopp is survived by her husband Calvin Lee Kopp of Greenhead; five sons, Richard A. Kopp, Robert L. Kopp, Hugh A. Kopp, Brian E. Kopp and Mark D. Harllee; one daughter, Roxanne M. Kopp; four sisters, Jessie Christian, Mary Ellen Douthit, Brenda Trevillion, and Tharon LaSage; six grandchildren. Memorial services for Mrs. Kopp will be held at 1 p.m. today, May 2, from Tyndall Air Force Base Chapel One. The family request memorialization by cremation.

FLOR ELENA MARTIN
Mrs. Flor Elena Martin, 77, of Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, April 29, 2001, in a local hospital. Born in Chitre, Republic of Panama, she moved here in May of 1970 from Howard AFB, Republic of Panama. She was a secretary with Department of Defense School Systems as well as a cashier at Larson AFB. She was also the squadron commander's secretary with the 325th TRS at Tyndall AFB (Bldg. 1270). Mrs. Martin is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Tommie Martin of Panama City; two sons, Tommie Martin Jr. and wife Drewanne of Panama City, Albert Lee Martin and wife Marie of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Doris Crabtree and husband Ron of Deer Park, Texas; three brothers, Pio Zambrano of Chitre, Republic of Panama, Julio Zambrano and Augusto Zambrano, both of Panama City, Republic of Panama; three sisters, Carmen Ortega and Juana McCullough both of Panama City, Republic of Panama, and Rosi Shook and husband Don of Tallahassee; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted today, May 2, at 10 a.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor William A. Crowe presiding. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories.

Easter Ratchford Wilson, 94, of Panama City, died Friday, April 27, 2001, in Bay Medical Center. She was the mother of four daughters, Eliza (Harry) Rivers preceded her in death, Odessa Betties, Nellie (Eddie) Swint, Easter (George) Payton, all of Panama City; a stepdaughter, Ollie (John) Ashford, of Smiths Ala.; a devoted grandaughter, Georgia Betties; 16 other grandchildren, Mary (Ira) Thornton, Tampa, Fla., Eugene (Ella) Gary, Barbara (Robert) Pope, Deloris (Wayne) Jones, Annie (Tommy) Hicks, all of Panama City, Harry (Octavia) Rivers of Atlanta, Ga., Eddie Betties, Shirley (Michael) Carroll, Dollie (James) Heard, Mary (Alvin) Williams, Marion (Lonnie) Mitchell of Panama City, Patricia (Samuel) Palmer of Phenix City, Ala., Carol Swint, Chicago, Ill., Dexter (Ebony) Payton, Panama City, Kecia Payton of Tallahassee, Fla., Nona Edwards and Cecil Glaze preceded her in death; 47 great-grandchildren, 77 great-great grandchildren; a special niece, Ann (Jimmy) Garrett, of Pensacola, and a host of other nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James Bush and Elder Lonnie Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation for viewing will begin this afternoon from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.

Mrs. Janet Lenhart Hansen, age 45, of 3649 Oak Brook Lane, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at a local hospital. A native of Panama City, she was a graduate of Bay High School, Class of "74" and attended Gulf Coast Community College. Mrs. Hansen was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, William "Bubba" Hansen of Panama City Beach; her parents, John and Mary Lenhart of Panama City; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lori. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 4, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenyon Gandy officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Tommy Rice, Eddie Spell, Mitch Holman, J.R. Acreman, Ricky Holland and Greg Barrett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, May 3, from 6 to 8 p.m .

Murry Ray Metcalf, 76, of Destin, Fla., died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in Daytona Beach, Fla. Mr. Metcalf was a native of Coffee County, Ala. He was a former resident of Metcalf Road, Bonifay, Fla., and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was retired owner/operator of D&M Tire Store in Geneva, Ala. Murry attended Jacksonville University and the University of Florida. He was a member of Bethlehem Masonic Lodge and member of Village Baptist Church, Destin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Bonifay. Burial will follow in Bonifay City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Martha Metcalf; and brother, Maurice D. Metcalf. He is survived by his wife, Alice Jeanette Williamson Metcalf of Destin; son, David Williamson Metcalf of Panama City; daughter, Melanie Anne Metcalf of Destin; sister, Mary Esther Metcalf Boote of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Dustin James Parkman, Emily Anne Metcalf, Ashley Nicole Metcalf, Alison Marie Metcalf; several nieces and nephews.

MARY LUCK SKIPPER
Mrs. Mary Luck Skipper, 77, of Ozark, died early Wednesday morning, May 2, 2001, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, from Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be in the funeral home parlors from 3 p.m. today until one hour prior to service time on Friday when it will be in the church. The family will receive friends in the funeral parlor from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening. Mrs. Skipper was a native of New Mexico having lived in Ozark since 1945. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Cullen F. Skipper of Ozark; two daughters and their husbands, Laurie and Rodney Dasinger of Panama City, Louvena and Melvin Johnson of Eufaula; grandchildren, Bryan Neal Johnson, Eufaula and Elizabeth Ann Johnson, Dothan; four sisters, Gracie England, Midwest City, Okla.; Hazel Mayer, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Louise Perkins, Sun City, Ariz., and Reba Barber and her husband Ralph, Capitan, N.M.

GEORGE W. WHITE JR.
George W. White Jr., 52, of Wewahitchka, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2001, at his home. A native of Menard, Texas, he had been a resident of Gulf County since 1960. Mr. White served in the Marine Corps with a tour of duty in Vietnam,and had been an employee of Arizona Chemical Company for almost 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Helen White of Wewahitchka; his children, Anna Maria Moore and husband Billy Ray and George Howard Whitfield, all of Howard Creek, and Stacey Driggers of Wewahitchka; a grandson, Jonathan Driggers of Wewahitchka; his uncle Bert and aunt Lou Eaker of Overstreet; a brother, Pete Eaker and son Damon; and his adopted family, the Glass family. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Friday, May 4, at Honeyville United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nick Davis and the Rev. Gus Howerton. Interment will follow in the family plot in Roberts Cemetery. Mr. White will lie in state at Honeyville United Methodist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

MARGARET R. ALLAN
Margaret R. Allan, age 89, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2001. Mrs. Allan was born and raised in Iowa where she graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in 1934 and later did graduate work at Florida State University. She moved to Bay County as a bride in 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Oran J. Allan who died in 1991. One son, Merlin Allan and his wife Deanna of Destin, Fla., survives Margaret. As well as granddaughters, Shelly St. James of Seattle, Wash., Tracey Gwaltney, Kristi Penuel and her husband Charles and Suzette Allan, all of Birmingham, Ala., Joanna Coley and her husband Sean of Mobile, Ala.; six great-grandsons and three great-grand- daughters; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Helen Allan Stansberry of Winter Park, Fla. and Mrs. Evelyn Riggs of Montgomery, Ala. and many friends. Margaret was associated with the Bay County School System for 30 years, first at Panama Grammar and then retiring in 1971 from Bay High School where she was a teacher and librarian. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City, Women's Progressive Bible Class, Sara Circle, Friday Angel Club, former member of A.A.U.W. Pilot Club and Senior Friendship Club. Memorial services for Margaret will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Panama City at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 7. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Library Fund of the First United Methodist Church, 903 East 4th Street, Panama City, FL 32401. Honorary pallbearers will be Earnest Walker, John Allan, Earnest Casalini, John Beach, Richard Locher, Ronald Drum, Thomas Smith, Kent Hall, Charles Lahan, and Marshall Anderson.

Mrs. Olivia Coleman, 70, of Marianna, Fla., died Friday night in Bay Medical Center in Panama City following an extended illness. She was a native of Jackson County and a member of Mt. Zion Holiness Church in Marianna. Funeral services will be held today, May 4, at 1 p.m. at Bethel Star Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna with the Rev. L.L. Brooks, Minister Johnny Hill and Elder Andrew Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery in Marianna with Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville directing. Mrs. Coleman is survived by her husband, Timothy Coleman Sr. of Marianna; her mother, Myrtice Hayes of Marianna; her mother-in-law, Julia Wright of Marianna; four sons: Timothy Coleman Jr. of Marianna, Vincent Coleman of Norfolk, Va., Edward Coleman of Durham, N.C. and Lionel Coleman of Fishkill, N.Y.; one daughter, Brenda Coleman Anderson of Marianna; one brother, James Hayes of Marianne; three sisters: Dorothy Stevenson, Marie Gainer, both of Marianna and Emma J. Harvey of Tallahassee and 11 grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Set Free in Christ Ministries located at 2856 Orange St. in Marianna from 6 to 8 p.m. in Thursday, May 3, 2001.

GEORGE M. HUNTER JR.
Mr. George M. Hunter Jr. "Big George," 63, of Overstreet, Fla., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at a local medical care facility. He was born in Wareham, Mass. He moved here in 1959 from Pensacola where he was stationed while in the Navy. George was the independent business owner of the "Shell Shack" in Mexico Beach, which he and his wife operated for 35 years. He was a member of the Mexico Beach First United Methodist Church. George had served as a Navy turbine engine mechanic. He had been in charge of, and contributed to, both the Springfield and Mexico Beach Food Banks. He was preceded in death by his father, George M. Hunter Sr., who died in World War II. He is survived by his mother, Wilma Ruth Besse of Onsette, Mass.; his devoted wife of 41 years, Bennie J. Hunter; four sons: Frederick I. Hunter and wife Paulia, George M. Hunter III and wife Theresa, Harry S. Hunter, all of Overstreet and David D. Mullis and wife Sandy of St. Joe Beach. He is also survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Dichysyn and husband Patrick of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister, Mary Ann Adkison of Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild, numerous loving nieces and nephews, and many loving brother and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m. CST in First United Methodist Church of Mexico Beach with Pastors Ted Lovelace, Fred Melvin, and Charles Parker officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at Red Bay Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. CST. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association, The American Diabetes. Association, or charity of choice in George's name. Floral tributes will also be accepted.
