Madge Hudson Rustin, 97, of Chipley, Fla., passed from this life on Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Chipley. She was a lifelong resident of Chipley. She was a Baptist by faith. Graveside services will be today, May 15, at 10 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Singletary officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Wachob Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rustin; and a son, Ronnie Rustin. Survivors are J.T. Rustin and wife Margaret of Chipley, Bernard Rustin and wife Mary of Chipley, Joe Rustin and wife Charlotte of Abbeville, Ga., Kenneth Rustin and wife Mary Nell of Chipley; four daughters, Virginia McDaniel of Chipley, Celma Waymire and husband John of Chipley, Clara Newsom and husband Bo of Bonifay, Dorothey Williams and husband Glen of Port St. Joe; one brother, Mervin Hudson of Pensacola; 26 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Funeral services for Eva Rose Taylor, age 82, of Panama City, who passed away May 12, 2001, will be held at 10 a.m. today, May 14, 2001, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with Father William Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Mary Frances Ray Wall, 66, of 3 Tulane Ave.,died May 12, 2001. Funeral services were held Monday, May 14, at Trinity Presbyterian Church and burial will follow today at noon in St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery, Pinopolis, Moncks Corner, S.C. Mackey Mortuary in Greenville, S.C., is in charge of the arrangements.

HARVEY DALE CHAPMAN SR.
Mr. Harvey Dale Chapman Sr., age 68, of 7208 Cherry St., Panama City, Fla., died Monday, May 14, 2001, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1965, moving here from Gove, Kan. Mr. Chapman served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He retired after 20 years of service and was Methodist by faith. Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margie Chapman of Panama City; two daughters, Donna Suttles and her husband Derrell of Panama City and Patricia Wamer and her husband Mathew of Sumter, S.C.; three sons, Andrew Chapman and his wife Diane of Sumter, S.C., Harvey D. Chapman Jr. and his wife Debra of Panama City, and Sgt. William Chapman of the U.S. Army; three sisters, Joyce, Willma and Sue; a brother, Ed Chapman; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 17, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Lietz officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories with full military honors conducted by Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.

SHIRLEY FAYE DULEY
Mrs Shirley Faye Duley, 55, of Southport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2001, in a local medical center. Born in Chipley, she returned to this area 40 years ago to be back with the people she loved. She was a devoted companion, friend, mom and grandmother loving her family dearly. A believer in God, she was a Christian in the truest sense of the word. One sister, Joann Hallman, precedes her in death. Mrs. Duley is survived by her special friend, Aubrey Keith "Tootie" Melvin of Panama City; two sons, Ernie Vickers Jr. and wife, Alice Faye, of Southport, David James Vickers and wife, Tasha Von, of Tallahassee; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 17, 2001, at noon in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Lynn Haven Chapel with the Rev. L.C. Miller officiating. Interment will follow in New Southport Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services.

JANE ALICE FONTAINE
Mrs. Jane Alice Fontaine of Panama City died Monday, May 14, 2001, in a local hospital. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she moved here in 1959 from Pensacola. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church. Her mother and father, William and Lorrina Fontaine, and a brother, Dr. William C. Fontaine, precede her in death. Several nieces and nephews survive her. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

DOROTHY E. FOREMAN
Dorothy E. Foreman, age 83, of Tallahassee, died Monday, May 14, 2001. A native of Holly Spring, Miss., she had lived in Tallahassee since 1993. She was a retired cosmetologist. She is survived by a son, Clyde W. Evans of Houston; and a daughter, Bobbie Sawner of Tallahassee. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 17, at 2:30 p.m. at Fisher-Pou Funeral Home Chapel in Pensacola with burial to follow at Bayview Cemetery in Pensacola. Family will receive friends Thursday, May 17, at 2 p.m. CDT at Fisher-Pou Funeral Home Chapel in Pensacola.

GWENDOLYN GARRETT GUILFORD
Gwendolyn Garrett Guilford was born Feb. 10, 1955. Gwen departed this life on May 10, 2001, at her home on 1618 Palo Alto Ave., Panama City, Fla. The funeral services will be held today, May 16, at 2 p.m. at The Providence FGME Church, 318 School Ave., Panama City. Bishop Russell A. Wright Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Lynn Haven Community Cemetery, Lynn Haven, Fla. She will lie in state at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service hours. There will be no viewing during the service.

RONALD E. HARROW
Ronald E. Harrow, age 74, of Laguna Beach, passed away May 12, 2001, at his home. He was born in Stockton-on-Tees, England, and served in the British Army and the Merchant Navy. He traveled extensively before settling in Florida in 1985. He was a highly respected professional engineer, with many achievements in the pulp and paper industry to his credit. Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, to whom he was married for 43 years. He is survived by two sister-in-laws, Nancy Smith and Joan Burton in England. He was much loved and will be truly missed by his family and friends from many areas. A memorial service will be held at Southerland Family Funeral Home at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 17. Contributions may be made to Humane Society of Bay County or at A.S.R.A.L. in memory of Ronald Harrow.

LULA MAE MULLINS
Mrs. Lula Mae Mullins, 79,of Pine Log, Fla., died Sunday, May 13, 2001, in a local hospital. Born in Washington County, Fla., she moved to Bay County in 1942. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Pine Log Community Church. Mrs. Mullins is survived by her husband, Joe Elton Mullins of Pine Log; four daughters, Virginia Brock and husband John D. of Panama City, Barbara Bodie and husband Tommy of Pine Log, Patricia Kirkland and husband Johnny of West Bay and JoAnn Mullins of Pine Log; one sister, Lillie Belle Mullins of Panama City; three grandchildren, Lee Bodie, Tracy Bodie Sexton and Jason Kirkland; two great-grandchildren, Chad Bodie and Taylor Kirkland and four nieces. Funeral services will be held today, May 16, at 2 p.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home, Lynn Haven Chapel, with the Rev. Leon Jenkins and the Rev. Kevin Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow in Gunlock Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, James Weeks, Jerry Anderson, James Anderson, R. Daniel Anderson, Adron Anderson and Jerry Heath.

BOBBY EUGENE OSWALT
Mr. Bobby Eugene Oswalt, 68, of 220 Sands St., Panama City Beach, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at home from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Bobby was a gradute of the University of Alabama School of Accounting and served two years in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1992 from General Motors Corporation after 36 years of service. He was a manager of engineering specifications and telecommunications in Warren, Mich. After retirement he moved to Panama City Beach in 1994 from Framington Hills, Mich. Bobby was also a member of Gulfview United Methodist Church. His parents, Richard Thurman (R.T.) and Myrtie Waldrop Oswalt; and a brother, James Ormond Oswalt, all of Northport, Ala., precede him in death. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joann Barnes Oswalt; two sons, Richard Jason Oswalt and wife Gail of Plymouth, Mich., and Jeffrey Steven Oswalt of Irvine, Calif.; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Ross and husband Michael of Tigard, Ore.; one brother, Charles Larry Oswalt and wife Jewel of Northport, Ala.; one uncle, J.R. Oswalt of Ralph, Ala., and two granddaughters, Rachel and Katie Oswalt of Plymouth, Mich.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted today, May 16, at 2 p.m. in Gulfview United Methodist Chruch with the Rev. Jim Fillingim and Dr. Si Mathison officiating. Memorializiation will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Gulfview Methodist United Methodist Church, the Hospice of Northwest Florida or the Alzheimer's Foundation in memory of Mr. Oswalt.

FENNER LEE OWEN
Mr. Fenner Lee Owen, 68, of Ebro, Fla. passed away on Monday, May 14, 2001, after a brief illness in a local hospital. Born in Holmes County, Fla., he moved to Panama City Beach in 1965. He helped pioneer the "Long Beach" area on Panama City Beach where he owned Fenner's Garage, Ice House, and Go-Kart Track. He also owned Fenner's Garage on Middle Beach Road and recently owned Owens's Garage on Thomas Drive. Mr. Owen was a member of Gulf Beach Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Shaddai Shrine Temple, Pythagoras Masonic Lodge No. 358 and was an avid outdoorsman. Two brothers, Mr. Jempsey Owen and David Herschel Owen precede him in death. Mr. Owen is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Alma Rita Owen of Ebro; two daughters, Patricia Owens and husband Ronald and Trease Kloess and husband Ed, all of Panama City Beach; one brother, Carey Beasley of West Bay; three sisters, Genia Hall of Pensacola, Myrtle J. Petty of Gainesville and Lucy Mae Sally of Bartow; four grandchildren, Robin, Patricia and Brooke Owens and Sky Kloess, all of Panama City Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, May 17, at 2 p.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Weller, the Rev. J.L. McGarrity and friends officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Clark, Jeremy Joyce, Mark Adams, Allen Owen, Bill Humphrey, Danny Kitchens, Jim King and the Masons of Pythagoras Lodge No. 358.

LEWIS WASHINGTON BARROW
Lewis Washingon Barrow, age 74, of Crestview, passed away Tuesday night, May 15, 2001. Mr. Barrow was born on July 8, 1926, in Crestview and was a lifelong resident. He was a retired civil service engineer employee at Eglin AFB, and Army veteran, having served in World War II, and a member of First Assembly of God in Crestview. Mr. Barrow was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Barrow and Emma Jordan Barrow; two brothers, Tom and James Barrow; and a sister Mary Grantham. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Barrow of Crestview; one son, Wayne Lewis Barron and wife Regina of Pensacola; one daughter, Donna Horton and husband Burrell of Panama City Beach; one brother, Walter Barrow and wife Joyce of Crestview; two sisters, Estelle Robinson and husband Neal of Crestview, Bertha Mae Hallford and husband Raymond of Dorcas; six grandchildren: April, Jon, Alison, Alex, Beau and Brad; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, from First Assembly of God with the Revs. George Skipper and Mark English officiating. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home. Mr. Barrow will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Lewis was a man of few words, with a heart overflowing with unconditional love for his family and friends. He lives on in the lives he has touched.

THOMAS JEFFERY DOWNS
Thomas Jeffery Downs, 23, of Panama City, Fla., died Monday, May 14, 2001. He was a resident of Bay County since 1988 moving here from Oklahoma. He was a lubrication technician for Tommy Thomas Chevrolet. Mr. Downs was preceded in death by his mother, Somchit Downs. He is survived by his wife, Christy Dawn Downs; four children, Brittany Downs, Quinton Downs, Camille Downs and Payton Downs, all of Panama City; his father, Kenneth R. Downs of Callaway; three sisters, Bubpa Davis, Pranet Triggiano and Sandra Fuller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy McCroan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
