Funeral services for Ruby Jeanette King Creary, 45, of Cameron, La., who died Monday, July 30, 2001, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Lakes Charles, La., will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. She leaves to cherish her memories a very loving and devoted family; husband, Noel W. Creary; son, Joshua A. Creary; daughter, Corneta A. Creary; grandchildren, Christajah and Jaiven Creary all of Cameron, La.; three brothers, Willie J. (Elvira) Coleman, James A. (Isabell) King, both of Panama City and David L. (Darlene) King of Richmond, Va.; seven sisters, Linda F. King, Susie D. King, Annie L. (Barry) King, Barbara E. King and Juanita Smith, all of Panama City, Sherry Frank and Debra Tubbs both of Lake Charles, La.; two uncles, Joe (Mary) Suddeth of Panama City and Johnnie (Ada) Phillips of Dorchester, Mass.; one aunt, Susie Mae (Rudolph) Carey of Clearwater, Fla.; granny, Mrs. Willie Nell Tubbs of Lake Charles; 10 nephews, Willie Jr., Carlos, Travis, Christopher, James, Richard, Dorian, Calvin, Phillip and Nigel; four nieces, Alicia, Latisha, Tonklisha and Jennifer; and numerous of great-nephews, nieces and other relatives. Special friends, Wanda Goldson, Ms. Sheenah and Bessie Fountain, Terri Le'Bove all of Cameron, La., and numerous of other special friends in the Lake Charles, La., area. The family will receive friends at the home of Juanita Smith, 1709 E . 7th St. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow.

JOHN DUNGAN JR.
John Dungan Jr., 77, of Bristol, Fla., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, in a Panama City hospital. He was a retired television technician with WJHG television station. He had been a resident of Bristol since 1990 moving there from Panama City. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Flora Dungan; son, John Dungan III and his wife, Jennifer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughter, Patricia Ann Dungan of San Antonio, Texas; four grandsons, Sean Dungan, Justin Dungan, Chris McLaurin, Bryan McLaurin; and a sister, Aline Sullivan of Chipley, Fla. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

GEORGE HERBERT EPLING
Mr. George Herbert Epling, age 70, passed away Aug. 3, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Panama City, a graduate of Bay County High School, class of 1950, retired as a safety officer for International Paper Co, Southwest Forest Ind., & Stone Container. He was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, The BPOE Lodge No. 1598, where he was a past Exalted Ruler, the Shaddai Shrine Temple, the Acme Masonic Lodge No. 222 and the Scottish Rite. He was a retired member of the Florida National Guard, retiring in 1979, and a volunteer for the Council On Aging and the Meals On Wheels program. He is survived by his wife, Annette McClellan Epling, of Panama City; daughters, Lynn Sokoloski and husband, Mark of Panama City Beach, Jean Epling of Panama City, Sherry Brock of Cottondale, Gloria Kelly of Panama City Beach and Kay Maloy and husband, Tim, of Panama City; a son, Norman Savell of Panama City; two brothers, Clyde Epling of Milledgeville, Ga., and Wirt Epling and wife, Ruth of Panama City; a sister-in-law, Sandy Epling of Panama City; his grandchildren, Christopher Kelly, Tisha Marsceill and husband, Scott, Charity Jones, Nathan Warren and wife, Sabrina, Shavonna Brock, Casey Savell, Alana Savell, Daniel Kelly, Jesse Savell, Cody Hudgens and Crystal Savell; 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Marjorie Epling; a brother, Jimmy Epling; and a granddaughter, Casey Lynn Kelly. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 6, 2001, at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Ball officiating, interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with graveside services conducted by the Panama City Elks Lodge No. 1598 and military honors conducted by the Florida National Guard. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Mark Sokoloski, Tim Maloy, Scott Marsceill, Nathan Warren, Casey Savell, Daniel Kelly and Jesse Savell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Panama City Elks Lodge No. 1598, the Dukes of Shaddai, the Acme Masonic Lodge, members of the Florida National Guard, and Gary Wilson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 390, Panama City, FL 32402.

Funeral services for Willie Comer (Will) Hughes, 90, of Panama City, who died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, in a local nursing home will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Floyd Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery with masonic rites conducted at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. The masonic lodge will open one hour prior to the service. Those desiring to, may make a contribution to the Trinity United Methodist Church in memory of Will Hughes. The family will be at the home of Don and Pat McCormick, 3425 Douglas Road, Panama City. Active pallbearers are Craig McCormick, James McCormick, Perry Cunningham, Clay Cunningham, Pat Holcombe, Keith Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers are J.L. Johnson and the Men of Trinity United Methodist Church.

EVA MAE BAKER
Eva Mae Baker, 57, of 8746 W. Bay Head Court, Youngstown, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a retired electronics assembler with Motorola. She had been a resident of Youngstown since 1980 moving here from Arizona. She was preceded in death by two sons, Don Baker and Ron Baker. She is survived by her husband, Bobby L. Baker of Youngstown; two sons, John Baker and his wife, Wanda, Randy Baker and his wife, Gail, all of Santa Rosa Beach; six grandchildren, Jiniece Baker, Desiree Baker, Jonathan Baker, Randi Callahan, Amanda Baker, Tera Powell; brother, Albert Shumaker of Redding, Calif.; two sisters, Sheila Mitchell of Youngstown, Sandy Foster of Montana. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Frank E. Bobe Sr., age 92, of Panama City, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at Bay Medical Center. He was retired from Civil Service and Panama Machinery and Supply Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah B. Bobe. He is survived by a son, Frank E. Bobe Jr., and daughter-in-law, Alice; daughter, Elizabeth Bobe Barron and son-in-law, Darrell Barron; three grandchildren, Frank E. Bobe III, Susan Barron Stowe, Jill Barron Dugger; great-grandson, Justin Graham Dugger. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Walter Cathey officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. today. AUDRA L. HUGHES
Mrs. Audra L. Hughes, 92, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 5, 2001, in a local nursing home. Born in Jackson County, Fla., she moved here in 1948 from Graceville, Fla. She was a homemaker and a member of the Springfield Community Church. Mrs. Hughes is survived by two sons, the Rev. James L. Richter and wife Janell of Atlanta, Ga., Gary "Grouper" Richter and wife Sandy of Panama City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at 10 a.m. in Springfield Community Church with the Rev. James F. Richter and the Rev. Carl Curti officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

GEORGE KOLE
Mr. George Kole, age 78, of 5801 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area for nine years, coming here from Illinois. Mr. Kole served his country in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was Roman Catholic by faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Glenview, Ill. Mr. Kole was an active card player with the Snowbirds on Panama City Beach. He was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed a good cigar and collected caps. Mr. Kole was a very good husband and father, and a devout Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Irene Kole of Panama City Beach; a son, Richard Kole of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter, Sister Barbara Kole, F.M.D.M. of Godalming Surrey, England; two sisters, Marian Frost of Mt. Prospect, Ill., and Helen Kozlowski of Missoula, Mont.; a sister-in-law, Louise Hayes of Panama City Beach and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 9 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church with the Fr. David O'Shea officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary service to be said at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at the All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Ill. at a later date.

CONNIE ROUNTREE
Connie (Coleman) Rountree, age 75, of Chipley, Fla., passed away Aug. 6, 2001, at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Chipley, Fla. A member of First Presbyterian Church of Chipley, a member of the Presbyterian Women and recipient of the Honorary Life Membership Award presented by Presbyterian Women on Mother's Day of 2001. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was born July 5, 1923, to the late Fred and Maude (Watts) Coleman in Chipley. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m., in Glenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Shadesbury and the Rev. Michael Orr officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley, Fla., directing. Preceded in death by a sister, Ann Coleman Shoemaker. Survivors are her husband Philip Rountree of Chipley; one son, Redus Rountree and wife Cindy of Cottondale; two grandchildren; Reda Ann Rountree of Tallahassee, Renae Rountree of Panama City; nephews, Wesley Shoemaker and wife Faye of Lakeland, Fla., Phil Shoemaker of Miramar, Fla., Chris Shoemaker of Tallahassee; niece: Kathy Carlile and husband Frank of Heathrow, Fla. In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Chipley or The Hospice of Northwest Florida.
