Funeral services for Mr. Theodore (Ted) Anderson, of Panama City, who died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at his home will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Callaway, with the Bishop Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Callaway Cemetery with Full military Honors.

Mrs. Adell T. Clark, age 77, of Panama City, passed away Sept. 28, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a native of Greenhead, and had lived in Panama City for the last 60 years. She was a homemaker, and loved spending time with her children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her 10 children, Tommy Clark and wife, Paula of Southport, Mary Woods and husband, Earnest of Alabama, Jesse Clark and wife, Viola of Panama City, Dorothy Callahan and husband, Donald of Panama City, Brenda Henderson of Panama City, Diane Grant of Virginia, Daniel Clark and wife, Jan of Vernon, Lelia Clark of Panama City, Linda Gail Lutz and husband, Wesley of Lebanon, Pa., and Betty Ann Griggs and husband, Jerry of Panama City; a daughter-in-law, Kay Clark of Panama City; a halfsister, Myrtle Paul of Panama City; 36 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel James Clark Sr., and a son, Johnnie Clark. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Don Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Aubrey Shurrum, Jeff Woods, David McCullers, Eric McCullers, Adam Clark, Danny Quattlebaum, John Warren and James Mobbs. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Griss Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Oct. 1, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m.

GLENN WALLACE GEIL
Funeral services for Glenn Wallace Geil, 98, of Enid, Okla., will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Henninger-Allen Chapel with Norman "Shorty" Unruh officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery. Glenn was born Dec. 15, 1902, in Barton County, Kan., to Andrew and Eva Florence (Wallace) Geil and died on Sept. 29, 2001, in Enid. He received his Bachelor's degree from Phillips University in Enid and received his Master's in Physics from the University of Oklahoma. Glenn married Florence Case on Sept. 1, 1932, in Enid. They lived in Pittsburgh, Pa., Washington D.C., and Arlington, Va. After teaching in Pittsburgh and working on his Doctor's degree, Glenn was a metallurgist with the National Bureau of Standards specializing in metal fatigue. He retired and moved to Enid in 1972. In 1974, Glenn and Florence started a 19-year career as coordinators for delivery of Enid's Meals on Wheels, which grew to a nine-route distribution system. Glenn was active in Boy Scouts for over 50 years and during this time he developed the requirements for the Boy Scout metallurgy merit badge. He received the Silver Beaver, which is the highest award for adult leadership in scouting. He was the past president of the Enid Noon Lion's Club. He was also member of the American Society of Testing Material, American Society of Metallurgy, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Enid Chapter of AARP, and Chapter 3 of the First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Florence on July 13, 1994; two grandsons; and nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Robert Glenn and Sue Geil of Las Vegas, Nev., and Earl Henry and Peggy Geil of Panama City; one daughter and her husband, Lois May and Harvey Phelps of Pond Creek, Okla.; five grandchildren, Marcia Geil of Las Vegas, Eric Geil of Denver, Bud Phelps of Dallas, Becky Halcomb of Pond Creek, and Tammy Smith of Panama City; one great-granddaughter, Regan Smith of Panama City; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels or the First Presbyterian Church through Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.

ERNEST W. GREER JR.
Ernest W. Greer Jr., age 61, of Deer Point Lake, went to be with the Lord at his home Sept. 29, 2001, after a battle with cancer. Mr. Greer was born in Pensacola, and was a lifelong resident of Panama City, graduating from Bay High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired as a boilermaker in 1997. He was a member of Boilermakers Union No. 199 in Panama City for 35 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Southport. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thetis Greer. Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. Greer of Deerpoint Lake; his father, Ernest W. Greer Sr., of Grassy Point; seven children, Ernest W. Greer III and wife, Jennifer of Robins AFB, Ga., John Greer and wife, Stephanie of Albany, N.Y., Rebecca L. Harter of Deerpoint Lake, Joe Granger of Indian Pass, Perry Granger of Crestview, Wanda Martin of Panama City Beach, and Miranda Poutre' and husband, Richard of Panama City Beach; three brothers, Joe Greer and wife, Bobbie of Cantonment, David Greer and wife, Sonia of Vernon and Michael Greer and wife, Jeannie of Grassy Point; three sisters, Mary Greene and husband, Hank of Kingsport, Tenn., Phyllis Greer of Lynn Haven and Jennifer Greer of Grassy Point; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron L'Huillier officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Oct. 1, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Boilermaker Rites at the visitation. Funeral services for Mr.Ray Benjamin Keahey, 82, of Panama City Beach, who died at his home on Friday, Sept. 28, 2001, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 1, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Panama City Beach, with the Dr. Jerry Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, Ga. DOYLE BURL LASTER SPENCE
Mr.Doyle Burl LasterSpence, was born March 22, 1931, and died at his home at 337 Leila Ave. in Callaway, Fla., on Sept. 29, 2001. His mother, Matilda Spence passed away in the year of 1987 and his father, Bullie Spence passed away in the year of 1961, also his son-in-law, Randall Earl Andrews passed away in the year of 1994. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucretia Spence of Panama City, and was married for 471/2 years. He is also survived by three children; daughter, Debra Rehee Kelsay and husband, Ronald; a son, Doyle Wayne Spence and wife, Angie; daughter, Glenda Marie Andrews and her boyfriend, Herman L. Self Jr., all of Panama City; seven grandchildren, Randall Gordon Andrews, Christopher Earl Andrews, Ronald Doyle, Lewis Kelsay, Justina Marie Kelsay, Austin Christopher Wayne Spence; and stepgrandaughter, Jayne Marie Andrews; stepgrandson, Dennis Eugene Hennessee; one sister, Voncile J. Stephens; also brother-in-law, James H. Campbell; two wonderful nieces, Pam Morrison and husband, Richard, Linda Dasher and husband, Sam. Doyle loved helping people, also he loved fishing, hunting and spending his time reading his Bible. Doyle worked for 37 years for the Papermill and retired from the there, was in the U.S. Army for two years. He will be missed by his family and friends very much. Funeral services for Mr. Spence will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at the Red Bay Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Randall Kuhn officiating with interment to follow in the Red Bay Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be, Randall Gordon Andrews, Christopher Earl Andrews, Ronald Doyle Lewis Kelsay, Austin Christopher Wayne Spence, James C. Adkison and Ramon McDonald. The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Emerald Coast for all the wonderful care, Dr. William Dent and to all our caring friends during his illness.

WARREN 'RUSS' BARNES SR.
It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Warren "Russ" Barnes Sr. of Panama City, Fla., on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, at a local hospital. Russ was born to Gertrude and Benjamin on Aug. 10, 1924, in Woodville, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Shortly after the war, in 1946, he moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. There, Russ joined the St. Petersburg Police Department in March 1948 and proudly served that department until his retirement as a lieutenant in July 1968. He was instrumental in starting the St. Petersburg Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police. Russ was a graduate of Florida State University where he received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and was a member of Delta Tau Kappa. At the University of West Florida, Russ received a master's degree in public administration. He taught criminal justice and law enforcement basic standards at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Fla., and served as that department's director from 1971 until his retirement in 1991. Russ will be cherished in memory by his devoted wife, Lanell; his three children, Cindy A. McDougal of St. Petersburg, Fla., Warren R. "Rusty" Barnes Jr. of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Carolyn J. Barnes of Seffner, Fla.; four stepchildren, Bobbie Barnett, Charles Holley, Sue Suggs and Sherrie Holley, all of Panama City; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers; four sisters; and many more relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Curtis officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Carolyn Barnes and the Honor Guard of the Bay County Sheriff's Office. EDGAR RAY DURDEN
Mr. Edgar Ray Durden, 58, of Panama City, Fla., passed away on Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, in a local hospital. Born in Enterprise, Ala., he was a lifelong resident of Bay County. He was a bus driver for Bay District Schools Transportation Department where he was loved and admired by many students and parents. He was also a member of St. Andrew's Baptist Church. Mr. Durden is survived by his wife, Doris Durden; his father, Louie Durden; one son, Paul Durden and wife Julie all of Panama City, Fla.; one daughter, Belinda Gunter and husband Gary of Atlanta, Ga.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Barbara Goodwin of Tallahassee, Fla., Fred and Nancy Goodwin, Charlotte and Jerry Joiner, Wayne and Terrie Goodwin, all of Panama City, Fla. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, at 3 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family will be staying at the home of Mr. Paul Durden, 114 Foxridge Road, Panama City, Fla.

REX J. HINES
Mr. Rex J. Hines, 81, of Panama City, Fla., a former resident of Tallahassee, passed away on Monday morning, Oct. 1, 2001, at Gulf Coast hospital after a sudden illness. Mr. Hines was born and raised in Owensboro, Ky., and moved to Panama City in 1956 with his wife and son. Mr. Hines was a World War II veteran and served his country as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force Air Corp Tech 14, fighter at Chanute Field, Rantocul, Ill. He also held a medical certificate for student and private pilot, 8th School Squadron and he was also an airplane pilot. Mr. Hines went to work at Sears Roebuck in 1956 and retired in 1981. He served as a crossing guard on 23rd Street and Michigan Avenue for 11 years. Mr. Hines is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise E. Hines, and son Larry "Rex" Hines of Jefferson City, Mo., ministering for "Challenge to Change Ministries," and by many nieces and nephews. Memorial of cremation will be held at a later date to scatter his ashes over the Gulf of Mexico. The family will receive visitors at the home of Jean and A.C. MARY KATHLEEN NEDLEY EELLS
"She lives on in each of us. Each time I open a book or walk thru the sand she'll live on in me. That's how I said goodbye." - Angie Perrin. Our Mom, Mary Kathleen Nedley Eells has become an angel in heaven Sept. 29, 2001, at age 85. Kathleen was born Jan. 17, 1916, and was the oldest child of Ivory Carl and Mary Tucker Nedley. She spent her first four years in Manatee County and Apalachicola before settling in Port St. Joe where her father owned and operated a mercantile supply store in the early 1920s. She grew up with her husband (deceased) Byron H. Eells Jr., whom she married on Aug. 1, 1940. She was a graduate and valedictorian of her class of 1933 at Port St. Joe High School. Kathleen was Catholic having been a member of St. Joe Catholic Church for many, many years. Kathleen loved life. Her life centered around her God, her children and their families; her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and her little dog, "Puppy." She also enjoyed raising orphaned wildlife, especially squirrels and 'possums. She recently made the statement that "God made 'possums out of leftovers." She worked at the old St. Joseph Telephone Company as a switchboard operator before her marriage, and she served in her church and community as a Bible School teacher, a scout leader and was a member of the Altar Society. She belonged to the Jr. Women's Club and the Women's Club of the years past, was a member of the PTA and a avid bridge player. She was a member of St. Bernadette's Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Houma, La. Kathleen loved to read, especially historical novels and enjoyed bird and butterfly watching and had served as a sea turtle volunteer. Kathleen is survived by her children; Barbara Eells of St. Joe Beach, Byron (Sonny) III and his wife Janette of Montegut, La., Dolores Kathleen (Kathy) and her husband Hans Rudolf (Rudie) Senn-Eells of Leutwil, Switzerland, Michael and his wife Daphne of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; grandchildren Monica and husband Randy Rodrique and Leslie and husband Russell Clement of Houma, La., Derek Eells, Jenny Perrin of Gulf Breeze and Angie Perrin of Suguamish, Wash.; great-grandchildren Katie , David, Sadie, Morgan, Brett and Brenden Rodrigue of Houma, La., and Kellsie Clement of Houma, La. She is also survived by two sisters, Melba Brown of Port St. Joe and Iva Mae Herring of St. Joe Beach; one brother, Robert Nedley and his wife Charlotte of Port St. Joe; one brother-in-law, Edward Eells of Canton Miss.; nieces, Carla and husband Chick Mathis, Judy and husband Rick Williams, Patricia and husband Jonathan Fletcher; nephews, Paul Nedley, Greg Brown, Phillip and wife Heather Nedley and Rodney and wife Pamela Herring; two special friends, Maggie and Tom Boone of St. Joe Beach. A Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church by Father Tom Guido at 10 a.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001. The celebration of peace will be Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 6 until 8 p.m. with the prayer of the glorious, mysteries of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. EDT at St. Joseph Church. The family asks in lieu of flowers to please donate to St. Jude's Hospital or a relief fund of your choice for the victims of the terrorist attacks on America.
