BENNY LEONARD COON
Benny Leonard Coon, 71, of Panama City, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, in a local hospital. He was born in Panama City on March 15, 1930, to Leonard and Maida Coon and graduated from Bay High School in 1947. He was a retired contractor and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, National Rifleman Association, and the BPOE Elks. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Coon, stepson, Alan Davis, both of Panama City, and sister, Pat Galle of Daleville, Ala.. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Saturday .

JEWELL LEE DANLEY MAJOROS
Mrs. Jewel Lee Danley Majoros, 89, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at a local nursing facility. She was a native of Millville and was a lifelong resident of Bay County. Mrs. Majoros was a hairdresser and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile. She was Baptist by faith and enjoyed reading and yard work. Mrs. Majoros is survived by her nieces, Joyce Harrison of Olustee, Fla., and Bobby Lovering and her husband Peter of San Antonio, Texas; nephews, Lee A. Danley Jr. and his wife Lois of Panama City, Fla., Charles E. Danley and his wife Aileen of Horn Lake, Miss., and George T. Danley and his wife Joann of Grand Ridge, Fla.; and six grand nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Majoros; her parents, George and Pearl Danley; and her siblings, Lee Arthur Danley Sr., Clara Mae Danley, Milas Lee Danley, Marvin Lee, and Charles Lee. Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Oct. 12, 2001, from 6 until 8 p.m.

IDELLE E. (LOGAN) MILLER
Mrs. Idelle E. (Logan) Miller, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at her home in Lynn Haven, Fla. She was born in Chicago in 1920, graduated from Bay High School in 1938 and attended the University of Illinois and Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee. Mrs. Miller was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority, Lynn Haven United Methodist Church, and active in Friendship Class, Hill Climbers, and Ruth Circle. She was secretary of the Lynn Haven Garden Club several years and also was active in garden clubs in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Miller leaves her loving family which includes her husband of 60 years, Irwin W. Miller; three children, David Miller and his wife Diane of Albuquerque, N.M., Louise Fischer and her husband Richard of Astoria, Ore., and Danielle Soule and her husband Howard of Encinitas, Calif.; six grandchildren, Michelle Miller, John Miller, Valerie Miller, Alex Fischer, Morgan Soule, and Max Soule; one brother-in-law: Louis Miller and his wife Betty of Belleville, Ill. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Pennington officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church Building Fund, the Hospice of the Emerald Coast, or the Cancer Society.

ROBERT EMMETT DOUGLAS IV
Robert Emmett Douglas IV, 23, of Tallahassee, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, in Tallahassee. A native of Tallahassee, he had lived in Bainbridge, Ga., before moving back to Tallahassee. He was a computer information specialist. He was a 1996 graduate of Leon High School, Tallahassee, and was a 2001 graduate of Florida State University, Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Hardee Douglas of Tallahassee; his parents, Bob and Cherry Douglas III of Tallahassee; sister, Mandy Douglas of Tallahassee; parental grandparents, Robert and Jane Doulgas II of Marietta; maternal garndfather, Keith Hill of Thomasville; and paternal great-grandmother, Leila H. Douglas of Montgomery. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m., in Killearn United Methodist Church in Tallahassee, with burial in MeadowWood Memorial Park in Tallahassee. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 12, at Beggs Apalachee Parkway Chapel (850-942-2929) in Tallahassee, which is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Marie Coiner, age 66, of Lynn Haven, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a native of Luverne, Ala., and had lived in Bay County for 45 years. Mrs. Coiner was a retired teacher's aide for 18 years with the Bay County School Board working at Cove Elementary, Cherry Street Elementary, and Lucille Moore Elementary Schools. She was a Charter Member of Northside Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Loyalty Sunday School Class. Mrs. Coiner is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Coiner of Lynn Haven, Fla.; two sons, Rickey Coiner and Mickey Coiner, both of Panama City; her mother, Mittie B. Leger of Hartford, Ala.; two brothers, J.T. Leger and his wife Janice of Dothan, Ala., and Gary Leger and his wife LaGettie of Greenville, Ala.; a sister, Nell Clark of Hartford, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Taft Leger. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Bruce Upton, Bill Booker,, John Parish, David Riley, Jim Page, and Jim Clark. Honorary Pallbearers will include: Jim Massey, Andy Amann, Red Brown, Art Butler, Tom Coffey, Joe Elmore, Lamar Harris, Charles Hickman, Russell Roll, and Carol Barbour.

Funeral service for John Henry Guy Sr., 80, of 718 Oak Ave., Panama City, who died at his home, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in First United Methodist Church of Panama City with the Rev. David Warren and the Rev. Si Mathison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with masonic rites to be conducted at the graveside. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the W.F. Richardson Transportation Fund of Shaddai Shrine Temple in memory of Mr. Guy. Active pallbearers are: David Thomas, Jim Thomas, Bert Thomas, Ken Thomas, Henry Thomas, Bill Thomas, and Ted Morrows. Honorary pallbearers are: Dr. William Dent, Dr. Marion Mathews, John Sweet Jr., and all members of the Shaddai Shrine Temple and the Acme Masonic Lodge No. 222.

ALLENE V. ROBBINS
Mrs. Allene V. Robbins, 77, of Shay Lynn Court, Orlando, Fla., passed away, Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at an Orlando health care facility. Born in Holmes County, Fla., she moved to this area in the 1940s and was employed at the Dixie Sherman Hotel until she opened her own business. Mrs. Robbins was the owner and operator of the Sea-n-Ski Motel and resturant in Panama City until 1994 when she retired to Orlando. She attended Gulfview United Methodist Church. Allene is preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother, Luther who passed away in 1994. She is survived by her son, Mike Robbins and wife, Cheryl of Orlando; daughter, Bonnie Robbins-Johnson and husband, Ross of Montevallo, Ala.; and three grandchildren. Graveside services for Mrs. Robbins will be conducted Monday, Oct. 15, at 12 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Si Mathison officiating. Interment will follow.

COLAN EUGENE WHITE SR.
Colan Eugene White Sr., 65, of 3305 E. 2nd Court, Springfield, died Thursday, October 11, 2001, in a local hospital. He was a retired supply boat captain. He was known as Mr. Karoke. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. in Fort Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.

SHIRLEY ANDERSON
Mrs. Shirley J. Anderson, age 70, of Mexico Beach, died Thursday, October 11, 2001, in a local nursing home. Born in Gallitzen, Pa., she moved here in 1987 from Baltimore, Md. She was a homemaker, Protestant by faith and attended the United Methodist Church. Her husband, Mr. Billy Anderson, precedes her in death. Mrs. Anderson is survived by two sons, Dennis Anderson and wife DeAnne of Chipley, Fla., and Scott Anderson and wife Linda of Fallston, Md.; one daughter, Linda James and husband Wayne of Kingsville, Md.; and five grandchildren.

HUEY VIRGEL LUMLEY SR.
Huey Virgel Lumley Sr., 78, of 1106 W. 12th Court, Panama City, died Friday, October 12, 2001, in his home. He was the retired founder of Lumley Plumbing Company. He had been a resident of Panama City since 1931, moving here from Marianna, Fla. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and the St. Andrew Masonic Lodge No. 212. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he received the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Lumley of Panama City; two sons, Virgel Lumley and his wife, Patty of Louisville, Ky., John Lumley and his wife, Sandra of Panama City; daughter, Cathy Buschmeyer and her husband, Greg; five grandchildren, Amy Harbeson, Ryan Buschmeyer, Casey Buschmeyer, Forrest Lumley, Lindsey Lumley; step-granddaughter, Christy Curenton, great-granddaughter, Cathrine Marie Buschmeyer; sister, Ruby Nell Certalich of Panama City. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Adolph Bedsole, Dr. Jerry Moore, and Chaplain Ron L'Huillier officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Hospice of the Emerald Coast, Gideons International, or the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Lumley.
