Funeral services for Mr. Anthony Wayne "Tony" Moore, age 44, of Lynn Haven, Fla., who passed away, Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, will be held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 5, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. T.A. Greene and the Rev. Jim Bakker officiating. Interment will follow at Wausau Memorial Gardens.

LAWRENCE RICE
SFC (Retired) Lawrence Rice, 74, of El Paso, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 28, in El Paso, in the William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Rice will be held today, Nov. 5, at 11:00 a.m. in the Battle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Lonnie Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Redwood Cemetery. Full military Honors will be conducted by the Fort Rucker Army Honor Guard.

HENRY C. ROBERTS JR.
Mr. Henry C. Roberts Jr., 80, of 1310 Frankford Ave. in Panama City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at a local hospital. Mr. Roberts was a resident of Bay County for 15 years after coming here from Elizabeth City, S.C. He served his country during World War II with the U.S. Navy for three years and the U.S. Coast Guard for 17 years. After retirement he was a well-respected employee of Stafford Outdoor Power Equipment Shop as a small engine repairman and shop foreman for 13 years. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Valeta C. Roberts of Panama City; son, William Rhett "Bill" Roberts of Panama City; step-daughter, Valeta Sue Jones and her husband, Nick, of Panama City; seven grandchildren, Robin Alston and Wendy Saverhoefer, both of Macon, Ga., Matthew Roberts, Shawn Roberts and Johnathan Roberts, all of Chipley; step-grandchildren, Melissa and Ashley Jones, both of Panama City; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, very much loved; three brothers, Lonnie D. Roberts and wife, Muriel, of Jacksonville, David L. Roberts of Banner Elk, N.C., and Terrence R. Roberts of North Charleston, S.C.; two sisters, Mabrey Ann Hanna of Georgetown, S.C., and Irene R. Beane and husband, Richard, of Conway, S.C. Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by a son, Richard C. Roberts; a sister, Elise Casselman; a brother, Leslie Wade Roberts; and a loved and precious daughter-in-law, Norma Jean Roberts; and previous wives, Eva Gray Roberts and Margaret Tonkin Roberts. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Moore officiating, with interment following at the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, Nov.6, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m.

GEORGE DALLAS 'PAPA ROSS' ROSS
George Dallas "Papa Ross" Ross, ago 68 of Trenton, Ga., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001. He was a native of Cherokee, N.C., and a member of North Bay Clan Creek Indian Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Paula Jeanne Ross, of Trenton; three daughters and son-in-laws, Debbie and Eddie Woods, Cindy and Jose Rico, Dawn-and James Pyron, all of Trenton; two sons and daughter-in-laws, George Jr. and Debbie Ross and Donnie and Jenifer Ross; 16 grandchildren, Timmy and Toby Clark; Levi, Luke, and Lori Woods; Gazer and Dakota Banta; George Ross III, Lacy and Dustie Pyron: Jackie, Salena, Jessica, Gavin, Joshua, and Michael Rose; six great-grandchildren, Jamie King; 5kylar and Draven Simpson; Nicholas and Shyanne Clark; Brandi Woods. Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. EST in the Ryan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddy King and the Rev. Gallasneed Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends today from 11 a.m. till funeral time. Arrangements are by Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, Ga.

DEMERY WILSON STEVENS
Demery Wilson Stevens, 81, of Wewahitchka, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Bay Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Wewahitchka, he served in the U.S. Army for 21 years during WWII, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Conflict. He served an additional 14 years with the Department of the Army Civil Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka. Survivors include his wife, Opal F. Stevens, of Wewahitchka; one son and his wife, Philip and Barbara Stevens of Wewahitchka; one daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Joseph Lotts of Richmond, Va.; two grandsons, Adam and Seth Lotts of Richmond, Va.; one sister and her husband, Gordene and Alfred White of Brewton, Ala.; one sister-in-law and her husband, Edith and Conard Calvert of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother-in-law and his wife, Mark and Erline Chafin of Mount Dora, Fla. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. CT Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at Jehu Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Stroud officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. CT at the First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity.

MARJORIE ANN KRIPPNER STEPHENS
Marjorie Ann Krippner Stephens, 82, born April 29, 1919, died peacefully on Nov. 3, 2001, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Marjorie had resided in Pensacola, Fla., for the past 60 years since moving from Wisconsin. She was very active during her life with many local organizations including the Anna Miller Circle, the Council of Catholic Women, St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Ariola Ball, the Krewe of LaFitte and the Fiesta of Five Flags. In her spare time, Marjorie assisted her husband, Jim, in operating STEPHENS BEE LINE, INC., which has been in business since the early 1940s. Marjorie is survived by her loving husband, James Gordon Stephens; five children, Bill Stephens and his fiancee, Cecile A Meagher, both of Milton, Patrick Stephens, his wife, Pattie, and Tom Stephens, all of Pensacola, Teri Stephens and Deborah Stephens Jelks, her husband Allen Jelks Jr., all of Panama City; four grandchildren, Emily Richey, Wyatt Milstead, Jayson and Caitlyn Cornelius. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001, at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum. Marjorie's sons and Allen Jelks Jr., Marty Bird and Arnold "Pewee" Craft will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Fada, Thoi Lei, Leonard Crawley and Emile Roch. Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. A visitation will be held this evening, Nov. 5, 2001, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, 919 N. Michigan Ave. Suite 1100, Chicago, IL, 60611, or Covenant Hospice, 2001 N. JAMES H. BEARDEN
James H. Bearden of Panama City passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001. He leaves behind his wife, Jackie Bearden, of Panama City; three children, Regina Bearden, James H. Bearden Jr. and Justin Cox, all of Panama City. He was the son of Voncile Bearden of Panama City, and the brother of Bob Bearden of Port St. Joe and Linda Hodges of Veron Beach, Fla. He is also survived by three granddaughters, Brooke and Breawnna Thomas, and Angie Howell, all of Panama City. He will be cremated and laid to rest with his father, the late Bill Bearden of Panama City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys T. Gilmore, 86, of Orlando, Fla., will be held today, Nov. 6, 2001, at 1 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Buford Thames officiating. Stirling Gray Belz, 16, of 12601 Steeple Chase Road, Panama City, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, as a result of an automobile accident. She was a lifelong resident of Panama City. She was an academic honor roll student at Rutherford High School, where she was a member of the Key Club and DECA. She was a charter member of the Emmaus United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Graham Stirling-Ford Belz. She is survived by her mother, Martha S. Belz, of Panama City; a sister, Laura Anne Belz; aunts and uncles, Lila and Donald Pardue of Booneville, N.C., and Paul and Alicia Martin of Gainesville, Fla.; godparents, Reggie and Candi Breault of Panama City; cousins, Billy and Linda Simpson, Powell and Sheila Simpson, Paul Martin Jr., Tanya Martin, Caroline Martin, and John Paul Martin; and a host of aunts, uncles, great aunts and great uncles. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Hankins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6-8 p.m. Those desiring may make a contribution to the Emmaus United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1206 County 2297, Panama City, FL 32404 in memory of Stirling Belz.
