DONALD E. HALTER, 69, of Dade City died Thursday at East Pasco Medical Center. A native of Canton, Ohio, he moved to this area 10 years ago from Fort Lauderdale. He was a retired registrar at Kent State University and a member of the Teachers Association. He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Payer of Ridge Manor. Whitfield Funeral Home, Zephyrhills.

ESEMAE HIGGS, 76, of Port Richey died Saturday at Harborside Health Care Gulfcoast in New Port Richey. She moved to this area 48 years ago from her native Glennville, Ga. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Port Richey. She is survived by three sons, Dewayne of New Port Richey, Victor of Oldtown and Bobby of Port Richey; three brothers; six sisters; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
