GLADYS SCOGGINS CLAWSON, 82, of Dade City died Tuesday in Cleveland, Tenn. A native of Valdosta, Ga., she moved to this area 30 years ago from Lakeland. She was a homemaker and a flea market dealer. She was a member of the Dalton Pike Baptist Church in Cleveland. She is survived by two sons, Travis Hines of Bushnell and Larry Hines of Lakeland; two daughters, Marie Williams of Cleveland and Margaret Dozier of Dade City; two brothers, Claude Scoggins of Spartanburg, S.C., and Martin Scoggins of Manchester, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and many great- grandchildren. BARBARA ANN COOPER, 60, of New Port Richey died Tuesday at Harborside Healthcare in Palm Harbor. She moved to this area nine years ago from her native Johnstown, N.Y. She was a retired data entry clerk for the New York Thruway Authority, an Army veteran, member of the First Baptist Church of Holiday, and student at Pasco-Hernando Community College. She is survived by six sons, John H. of Schenectady, N.Y., Mark A. of Gloversville, N.Y., Paul Cooper of Texas, William of Johnstown, Rodney of Colorado, and Gary A. of Evergreen, Colo.; and several grandchildren. JOHN W. FELIX JR., 69, of Greenville, N.C., died Tuesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. A native of Providence, R.I., he moved to Greenville 10 years ago. He worked for Voice of America for 33 years in Liberia, Greece and the West Indies, along with Greenville. He was a Korean War Navy veteran and attended St. Peter's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Harris; two sons, Jay B. and John William III, both of Winooski, Vt.; a daughter, Starr Gagen of Odessa; two half sisters, Loretta Felix Rocha and Rita, both of Providence.; and five grandchildren.
