NAUGHTON, JOHN B., JR., 52, of Dade City, Florida, died Thursday May 16, 2002. Born in Darby, Pa., in 1949 and raised in the Detroit area, and moved to Tampa in 1973. He resided in Dade City for the past 16 years. He is survived by two daughters, Joy B. Naughton and Heather Naughton Crosby; grandson, Kyle (Mickey) Robertson of Detroit, Mich.; other family members, Shirley Naughton and Sandi Naughton of Dade City; brothers, Michael and Brian and the Naughton's of Colorado, Cindi, Shannon, Katie, Kelly, Matthew, Mickey, Cody, Frank, Brian, Taylor, John and Aidan; aunt, Grace Brennan of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; cousins, John Brennan of Tallahassee, Fla., Ray Brennan of Stone Mt. Ga., and Frank Brennan of Puerto Rico; and his other aunts and uncles, Francis and Jimmy Cowen of Pueblo, Colo., Elizabeth Clote of St. Louis, Mo., and Margaret and John Payne of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was predeceased by his parents John, SR. and Marguerite K. Naughton of Sanibel, Fla. John spent his life in the automobile Business in Tampa. A Mass will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 14404 14th St. Dade City at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 20th. Reception immediately to follow. Interment will be in Denver, Colorado, where John will lay to rest with most of his loving family.

VIGNEAULT, Raymond E., 80, of Litchfield, N.H., and formerly of Zephyrhills, Fla., died on Friday, May 10, 2002. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on Sept. 2, 1921, a son of the late Edmond J. and Clara (Langelier) Vigneault. A resident of Litchfield since March 2002, he had previously lived in Zephyrhills, Florida for twenty years, after moving there from Nashua, N.H. He was the widower of Rita J. (Mercier) Vigneault, who died Jan. 1, 2002. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Steven Belanger of Litchfield, and Lucille and John Harvey of Dracut, Massachusetts; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond E. and Jeanne Vigneault of Pelham, N.H.; a stepson, Scott Barnett and his wife, Faith of Milford, N.H.; a stepdaughter, Betty Travers and her husband, Craig of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. Funeral services were held in Nashua, N.H. Arrangements are in the care of the Davis Funeral Home, Nashua, N.H.

FICO, Ralph, 87, of Apollo Beach, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2002. Born in New York City, New York, Mr. Fico was a Catholic and a member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Yvette; three sons, Ralph Fico Jr., Anthony Fico and Frank Fico; four daughters, Guillette Montigino, Roseanne Celente, Yvette Sukhon and Janet Deleon; one brother; and four sisters. HOJLO, Michael J. , III, 54, of Land O' Lakes, passed away on May 17, 2002 at home. He is survived by his beloved wife, Retta ( Paetke ) Hojlo; a devoted father of his three children, Michelle, Charles and Marjorie; four grandchildren; and a loyal son of his mother, Marguerite Hojlo. Mr. Hojlo was born in Boston, Mass. on August 17, 1947. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1965 serving in Korea, Vietnam and Panama before retiring as a MSGT., in 1987. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. with military honors. McALLISTER, Edna, 87, of Plant City, died Saturday May 18, 2002, in Plant City. She was born in Plant City and lived here her entire life. She worked as a switchboard operator at South Flor ida Baptist Hospital, Blacks Department Store, Plant City Credit Bureau and was the owner of the Sunny South Drive In. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Plant City. She was a 52 year and life member of the Plant City Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 81. She is survived by her sister, Annie Mae Robinson, Plant City; niece, Faye Bosewll; nephews, H.J. Robinson, Wilbur Bush, and Kenneth Bush and Jim Pollard; also several cousins. PARTLOW, Carol A., 63, of Tampa, died all too soon on May 18, 2002, after a long illness. She will be missed and her memory cherished by her husband, David; her children, Shaun, Jenefer and Eric, and their spouses Karen, Thomas, and Dawn; her grandchildren, Alek, Brendan, Erica, Jonathan and Erin Carol yet-to-come; her `granddogs` Java and Shadow; her mother, Margaret; her sister-in-law, Ann; her dear friends, Annie, Sandra, Jason, Suzi, Judy, and too many more to mention individually. Carol's irrepressible and free spirit lives on in all those who loved her, for whom a bright star has just faded from view. Carol's love of life and people, generous nature, unbridled optimism and determination to struggle for what she believed was right, touched many, many people over the years and left as a legacy shining example for others to follow. As one who lived fully, she left undone many things she wished to accomplish, yet did more with her time than many do with decades more given to them. RYAN, Catherine E., 84, of Tampa, died May 18, 2002 in her home. Born in Star Prarie, Wisconsin, she moved to Tampa in 1990 from McHenry, Illinois. She was a Hair Stylist and Roman Catholic as well as a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Gold Badge Society of the Chicago Fire Department. Mrs. Ryan was beloved by all and is survived by daughter, Patricia (Mark) Laskowski of Tampa; brother, Michael Goheen of Glen Ellen, Illinois; sister Rita Jean Loftus of Tampa; three grandchildren Kris (Glenn) Horn, Aimee Laskowski, and Erin (Jamie) Moore; four great-grandchildren, John, Ethan, Anna and Kate. SMITH, Gladys Delgado, died on May 18, 2002 in Tampa. She is survived by her son, Rene Uriza of Brazil; two daughters, Otilia Espinoza, Gladys Eaton, all of Tampa; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Marina Benoit, Gloria Saareste, Rosa Smith; and a brother, Alberto Smith. She was a member of St Theresa of Avila Carmelite Community at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St Timothy Catholic Church. SPENCER, Raymond L., 71, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on May 18, 2002, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Spencer was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Julie; sons, Ronald J. Spencer and his wife Elaine, Mark H. Spencer and his wife Barbara; stepson, Freddie Hevia III and his wife Laura; stepdaughter, Lorraine Carrillo and her husband Lazaro; brother, Henry Spencer; two grandchildren; and five step grandchildren. Mr. Spencer served in the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer and retired after 20 years of service. He then worked for Piper Aircraft and retired from Unipress in 1993. Mr. Spencer will be missed greatly by all who knew him. STRONG, Alton T., died Friday May 17, 2002 at his home. He was born in Montezuma, Georgia, and came to Tampa during the depression in 1936. He attended Hillsborough High School, while working nights at the Tampa Terrace Hotel. During World War II, he served as a radio operator in the Army Air Corps. Alton worked for many years in the hardware and building supply business and later became the Purchasing Agent for Hillsborough County. He served on both the Tampa Port Authority and the Tampa Housing Authority. For many years, Alton has been a member of Bayshore Baptist Church and a Mason. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Strong of Tampa; his sister, Ruth Yunk of Orlando; his brother, Paul Strong of Hartselle, Alabama; and his granddaughter, Erin Harris of Ft. Lauderdale. Alton was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth West Strong; his daughter, Wayna Harris; and his brother, Judson Strong. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday May 22, 2002 at Marsicano Funeral Home, 4040 Henderson Blvd. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. WALLACE, James T.`Jimmy`, 42, a lifelong resident of Tampa, went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Sheena Bush of Riverview; parents, Lloyd and Faye Wallace of Tampa; siblings, Mike Wallace of Riverview, Joan Bednar of Antiock, Steven Wallace of Tampa and Fancy Evans of Valrico. He was a good friend to so many people and he will be greatly missed. He was also a member of Broadway Baptist Church, Tampa. WHITE, Lois, 90, passed away on May 19, 2002 at home in the care of her loving family. She was born March 12, 1912. She was predeceased by husband, Edward B.; and son, Edward B. White, JR. She was a lifelong resident of Tampa, Fla., and a member of Spencer Memorial Tampa Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Lois was a volunteer at Tampa General Hospital for many years; a loving wife for 64 years; a wonderful homemaker and cook. Her hobbies included baking, gardening, church activities, and caring for her beloved cats. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley A. WITT, Bettye Stodghill, 74, of Tampa, passed away May 16, 2002 at her home in the loving care of her family and the LifePath Hospice. Born in Plant City, Florida, She was the last surviving child of Jack and Nancy Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Stodghill in 1971 and Harry Witt in 1994. Bettye was a member of the Plant City Church of Christ. BROWNLEE, Martha N., 59, of Zephyrhills, passed away at Hernando/Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City on Friday, after a long battle with cancer. A native of Cornelia, Ga., she came to this area in 1980 from Clarksville, Ga. Martha is survived by her husband, Robert; three daughters, Cindi Frankum of Clarksville, Roxanne Ellerbee of Wesley Chapel, and Terri Dawn Brownlee of Zephyrhills; four grandchildren, Bobby, Stephanie Frankum, Amanda Gano, and Zachery Derrick; two sisters, Eunice Rich of Canton, Ohio, and Sharon Norman of Paris, Ohio; three brothers, Jack and David Eller of Canton, and Joseph of Kissimmee; parents, Andy and Inez Eller of Haines City. BRYKER, James C., 89, of Dade City, died Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Heritage Park Care Center. A native of New Jersey, he moved to this area in 1997 from Tierre Verde. He was a retired mobile home park owner and was a US Army Veteran of World War II in the European Theatre. Survivors include his wife, Alaine; a daughter, Lynn Tepper of Dade City; a stepson, Elliott Tepper and his wife, Mary, of Madrid, Spain; a brother, Tom Bryker of New Jersey; and three grandsons, David Tepper of Madrid, Jonathan Tepper of London, England, and Lt. DOTSON, Melanie K., 52, of Zephyrhills, passed away on Friday at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. Melanie was born in Toledo, Ohio, and came to the Zephyrhills area some 25 years ago from Grover Hill, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, John; two daughters, Rachel and Lauren; one son, Stephen of Temple Terrance; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Algene and Wayne Westgate of Marion, Ind., and De bra and Charles Dunham of Haviland, Ohio; both parents, Charles and Nova Scarbrough of Grover Hill, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews. Melanie was Baptist by faith, a customer service supervisor at Chad Supply in Thonotosassa. Services will be held later this week in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill, Ohio.

Born in Hamden, New York, he moved to this area 13 years ago from Brooksville, Fl a., after leaving New York. He was a retired Truck Driver and served in the US Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Barbara MacLean of Dade City; two daughters, Donna Calhoun of Dade Cit y and Charlene Brown of Freeville, New York; one brother, William MacLean of Cortland, New York; two sisters, Virginia Morgan of Cortland, New York and Irene Penrose of Lisle, New York; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. BEIRO, Norberg G., Tampa, passed away May 18, 2002. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Beiro owned and operated State Electronics for over 50 years and then started teaching electronics for Erwin Vocational Institute for 17 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years and D.A.V. for over 20 years an d was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Beiro was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Lynn Riddle and is survived by his wife, Viola Beiro; daughters, Gilda Szada and Janie Smith; stepdaughter, Vivian Valdez; grandchildren, Tara M. Szada-Daubert and husband, Kevin Daubert, and Jason S. Riddle; brothers, Armando, Ulysses and George Beiro; great-grandchildren, Katarina, Spencer and Cameron Szada- Daub ert and Corey Riddle. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. from the chapel of Gonzalez Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Colon Cemetery. BRADY, Teressa Anne, 40, formerly of Plant City, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002 in California. She was born and raised in Plant City, Florida where she attended Victory Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Plant City High School. She was a Navy veteran, having enlisted in 1981 and was stationed in California where she obtained an Honorary Nuclear Submariner. A World War II veteran, he owned his own Advertising Agency until his employment with Atlanta-based Contel in 1980. Bill is survived by his three loving children, Debbie Smith, Kim Christopher, and Chris Lawrence all of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and nine grandchildren: Sam, Jess, Alex, Brooke, Ben, David, Peter, Alex, and Trevor. PARTLOW, Carol A., 63, of Tampa, died all too soon on May 18, 2002, after a long illness. She will be missed and her memory cherished by her husband, David; her children, Shaun, Jenefer and Eric, and their spouses Karen, Thomas, and Dawn; her grandchildren, Alek, Brendan, Erica, Jonathan and Erin Carol yet-to-come; her `granddogs` Java and Shadow; her mother, Margaret; her sister-in-law, Ann; h er dear friends, Annie, Sandra, Jason, Suzi, Judy, and too many more to mention individually. Carol's irrepressible and free spirit lives on in all those who loved her, for whom a bright star has just faded from view. Carol's love of life and people, generous nature, unbridled optimism and determination to struggle for what she believed was right, touched many, many people over the years and left as a legacy shining example for others to follow. As one who lived fully, she left undone many things she wished to accomplish, yet did more with her time than many do with decades more given to them.
