Eddie Wade

WILLISTON -- Eddie Wade of Williston died Friday at Nature Coast Regional Hospital in Williston after a lengthy illness. He was 68.

Mr. Wade was born in Lee and moved to Williston 64 years ago.

He was a plumber.

He received his education from the public schools of Levy County.

Mr. Wade is survived by his cousin and caretaker, Lola Ruffin.

Elizabeth Ann Wright

Elizabeth Ann Wright died Sunday at her Gainesville residence. She was 74.

Mrs. Wright was born in Washington, D.C., and moved to Gainesville more than 40 years ago.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Wright of Gulf Hammock and Kevin Wright of Alachua; two sisters, Helen Griffin of Hyattsville, Md., and Alberta Higgs Moye of Waldorf, Md.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Edward Henry Adams

DOWLING PARK -- Edward Henry Adams of Dowling Park died Sunday. He was 67.

Mr. Adams was born in Philadelphia and moved to Dowling Park in 1994.

He was an engineer and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Adams of Live Oak; a daughter, Stacy Adams of Bath, Pa.; a son, Shawn Adams of Germany; three brothers, Bill Adams of Fort Pierce, Gerald Adams of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Robert Adams of Arizona; and two grandchildren.

Betty C. Buckhalter

Betty C. Buckhalter, a lifelong resident of Gainesville, died Tuesday at the Hospice House of Gainesville. She was 69.

Mrs. Buckhalter was a homemaker.

She attended Grace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Glen L. Haire Jr.

Survivors include her husband, John S. Buckhalter of Gainesville; a daughter, Sue Harris of Gainesville; two sons, Steven Buckhalter of Hudson, N.C., and Raymond D. Buckhalter of Gainesville; three sisters, Joyce Coones of Chiefland and Lucy Whiteman and Marie Jordan, both of Gainesville; a brother, Fred Sheppard of Pacific Grove, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Hospice of North Central Florida.

Adeline Pauline Dodd

CLERMONT -- Adeline Pauline Dodd of Clermont died Sunday at her son's residence in Clermont. She was 92.

Mrs. Dodd was born in Chicago and moved to Clermont from Palatka six years ago.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Assembly of God of Keystone Heights, where she sang in the choir.

She loved to read her Bible.

Mrs. Dodd enjoyed crocheting and had made many beautiful blankets, afghans and Christmas stockings. In her later years, she created pencil drawings for friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles S. Harger and her second husband, Robert Dodd.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Mae George of Clermont; two sons, William Guy Harger of Orlando and Charles Howard Harger of Clermont; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Willie Mae Green

Willie Mae Green, a lifelong resident of Gainesville, died Saturday at her home following an extended illness. She was 88.

After graduating from Lincoln High School, Mrs. Green worked as a clerk at Mary Turner Gift and Bridal Shop.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Fletcher W. Green of Gainesville; two sons, Aaron A. Green of Gainesville and Allen P. Green of Union City, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Eileen J. Knott

MORRISTON -- Eileen J. Knott of Morriston died Monday at Nature Coast Regional Hospital in Williston. She was 76.

Mrs. Knott was born in Brooklyn and moved to Morriston from Fort Lauderdale eight years ago.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Williston.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Edward J. Knott Jr. of Morriston; two daughters, Barbara Crapser of Lecanto and Teresa Ganzer of Fort Pierce; two sons, Edward J. Knott III of Morriston and Kevin T. Knott of Altamonte Springs; a sister, Marie McNally of Washington D.C.; and nine grandchildren.

Robertus K. McGlothlen

Robertus K. McGlothlen of Gainesville died Saturday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 86.

Mrs. McGlothlen was born in Beaumont, Texas, and moved to Gainesville from Williford, Ark., in 1981.

She was a retired high school teacher. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, the American Association of Retired Persons, the league of Women Voters, Common Cause and the Memorial Society.

Mrs. McGlothlen was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George E. McGlothlen.

She is survived by a son, Michael E. Nassau of Gainesville; a granddaughter, Karen Thompson of Bel Air, Md.; and two great- grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Hospice of North Central Florida.

Rosaria J. Montalbano

Rosaria J. Montalbano of Gainesville died Sunday at Shands at AGH. She was 71.

Mrs. Montalbano was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and moved to Gainesville in 1976.

She was an advertising manager at Kmart. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose.

Mrs. Montalbano enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include a son, John Montalbano of Gainesville; a sister, Anne Mazzucco of Burlington, Vt.; and a brother, Joe Montalbano of Gainesville.

Howard Michael Mowery

MORRISTON -- Howard Michael Mowery died Dec. 9 at his home in Morriston. He was 85.

Mr. Mowery was born in Shamokin, Pa., and moved to Morriston from Marlboro, N.J., 15 years ago.

He was a prison director at New Jersey State Prison.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Mowery of Morriston; a daughter, Carol Potts of Gap, Pa.; a son, Howard M. Mowery of Jacksonville; two sisters, Anna Jones of Key Port, N.J., and Gladys Buggy of Shamokin, Pa.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
