Opal B. Fugate

MORRISTON -- Opal B. Fugate of Morriston died Friday in Green Cove Springs. She was 78.

She was born in Jellico, Tenn., and moved to Morriston 52 years ago. She was a housewife and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Siler of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Ronald Siler of Miami; a sister, Geneva Williams of Cincinnati; and five grandchildren.

Victor D. Ines

ST. PETERSBURG -- Victor D. Ines of St. Petersburg died Thursday. He was 55.

Mr. Ines was born in Vallejo, Calif., and lived in St. Petersburg for 11 years. He lived in Gainesville from 1966 to 1977.

He graduated from the University of Florida's College of Law and was an attorney in the Tampa Bay area.

He had served as captain in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his mother, Irene May Ines of Largo; two brothers, Ted Ines of Tarpon Springs and Bill Ines of St. Petersburg; a sister, Helen Ines of Malibu, Calif.; two sons, Gregory Richard Ines of Gainesville and Christian Ines of Tampa Bay; two daughters, Kimberly Ines Bishop of Gainesville and Sara Ines of Tampa Bay; and his former wife, Patricia E. Ines of Gainesville.

Mollie Marjorie Miles

Mollie Marjorie Miles of Gainesville died Saturday. She was 89.

Mrs. Miles was born in Peewaukee, Wis., and moved to Gainesville in 1985.

She co-owned and operated Marion Park Variety Store in Meridian, Miss.

She was also choir director at First Presbyterian in High Springs and volunteered at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

She was a member of New Century Women's Club in High Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ernest Miles.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Corbett of Gainesville; a son, Robert Sharman Miles of Houston; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Edna Y. Powers

TRENTON -- Edna Y. Powers of Trenton died Saturday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 76.

She was born in Jacksonville and moved to Trenton 37 years ago from Perry.

She was a retired bookkeeper for the Gilchrist County School Board.

She was a member of the Trenton Women's Club and Trenton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, George B. Powers Sr. of Trenton; two sons, George B. Powers Jr. of Jacksonville and William C. Powers of Trenton; a daughter, Anna Kathryn Popkins of Trenton; a sister, Sara Hughes of Nashville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

Beulah Irene Woodcock

Beulah Irene Woodcock of Gainesville died Saturday. She was 87.

She was born in Leadwood, Mo., and moved to Gainesville from St. Louis in 1978. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, A.D. "Woody" Woodcock of Newberry; two daughters-in-law, Linda Hodge Woodcock of Newberry and Rosemary Woodcock of Plantation; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Barbara W. Collins

Barbara W. Collins of Gainesville died Sunday at Shands at the University of Florida. She was 64.

Mrs. Collins was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and lived in Maryland and Fort Walton Beach before moving to Gainesville 36 years ago.

She graduated from Washington County Hospital School of Nursing in Hagerstown, Md., and worked as a registered nurse. She also taught nursing classes at Santa Fe Community College and health occupation at Gainesville High School.

Mrs. Collins was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William I. Collins.

Survivors include daughters Laurie Waldo, Jeanne Diehl and Christie Collins, all of Gainesville; a sister, Jean Mary Buchman of Hampstead, Md.; a brother, Col. William G. Walker of Tallahassee; and two grandchildren.

Thomas John Davis

Thomas John Davis of Gainesville died Tuesday at his residence. He was 80.

Mr. Davis was born in Alverda, Pa., and moved to Gainesville from Morehead City, N.C., six years ago.

He worked in the real estate business and attended Trinity United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge No. 120 F & AM in Bay View and the Indiana Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Theadora Ruth Davis of Gainesville; a son, Rodney Hull Davis of Alachua; and sisters Naomi McCullough of Gainesville, Elizabeth Lowmaster of Punxsutawney, Pa., and Catherine Makin of Portage, Pa.

Helen Louise Goins

Helen Louise Goins of Franklin, Tenn., died Tuesday in Tennessee. She was 82.

Mrs. Goins was born in Coffee County, Tenn., and moved to Franklin from Gainesville last year. She was a retired administrator with Santa Fe Community College and a member of the University City Church of Christ. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Gainesville and Pilot International, where she served as an officer. She graduated from the University of Florida, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hershel W. Goins.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra MacLean of Franklin, Tenn.; a brother, James H. McMahan of Manchester, Tenn.; and a grandson.

Virginia O. Grazier

Virginia O. "Voggie" Grazier of Fernandina Beach died Saturday at Shands at Jacksonville. She was 85.

The Boston native worked as a librarian in Gainesville during the 1970s.

Survivors include a son, Michael Foster Grazier of Bellingham, Wash.; brothers Maurice Cleveland Orbeton Jr. of Satellite Beach and Everett Arnold Orbeton of South Portland, Maine; and a grandson.

Jorene Hill Kelly

Jorene Hill Kelly, a lifelong resident of the Gainesville area, died Monday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 65.

Mrs. Kelly worked in the medical records department at Shands at the University of Florida. She was a member of North Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons Rich Kiser of Houston and Van T. Bryant of Gainesville; sisters Judy Ulmer of Fort White, Emily Sue McInnis of Jacksonville and Kathy Dacus of Tacoma, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Ronald D. Revels

STEINHATCHEE - Ronald D. "Ronnie Buckshot" Revels died Tuesday at his residence following an extended illness. He was 59.

Mr. Revels was a Baptist and a retired construction worker. He was a member of the Sandhill Hunting Club.

Survivors include his wife, Floyce Revels of Steinhatchee; sons Greg, Rex and Kim Revels, all of Steinhatchee; daughters Amanda Reams of Monticello and Sonia Valentine of Steinhatchee; brothers Hoyt Penny and Charles Revels, both of Lee, and Otis Revels of Madison; sisters Sandra Walker, Margaret Sullivan and Wanda Williams, all of Lee, Patricia Holmes of Live Oak and Maxine Hann of Keaton Beach; and six grandchildren.

Barbara Hilton Rochlin

Barbara Hilton Rochlin of Jacksonville died Sunday at her residence. She was 39.

Ms. Rochlin was born in Hartford, Conn., and raised in Gainesville. She moved to Jacksonville 10 years ago.

She was a member of Murray Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Barbara P. Hilton of Sun City Center; and brothers Fred E. Hilton of Alachua and Scott T. Hilton Knoxville, Tenn.
