Deborah Sanchez of Morriston died Friday after an auto accident. She was 35.
Mrs. Sanchez was a check-out clerk at the Quick King convenience store in Morriston.
Mrs. Sanchez was born in New York city and moved from Massachusetts to Morriston a year and a half ago.
She was a Catholic.
Survivors include her mother, Carmen Torres of Morriston and step-father, German Torres of Morriston; her father, Salvador Alicea of Puerto Rico; a son, Angel G. Medina of Morriston; a daughter, Rebecca Medina of Morriston; three brothers, Benjamin Alicea and Daniel Alicea, both of Oviedo, and Salvador Alicea of Springfield, Mass.
Dorothy Louise Liles
Dorothy Louise Liles of Gainesville died Friday in Gainesville.
Mrs. Liles was a crossing guard. She was born in Jackson, Ala., and came to Gainesville 14 years ago.
She was a member of North Central Florida Baptist Church.
Mrs. Liles, who enjoyed gardening and poetry, played piano and organ for many area churches.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Cline of Milford, Del., and Laurine Scott of Jonesville; Nelson Liles of Gainesville; two brothers, David G. Bell of Phoenix, Ariz., and John Dixon Bell of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Lena Ruth Powell of Lisman, Ala.; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
Robert E. Lucas
Robert E. Lucas of Gainesville died Saturday at his son's home in Gainesville after a long illness. He was 66.
Mr. Lucas was a funeral home attendant in Gainesville and Boca Raton. He also served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Lucas was born in Hazel Park, Mich., and moved last year from Boca Raton to Gainesville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Diane Gillam Lucas.
Survivors include two sons, Dana R. Lucas of Gainesville and Timothy A. Lucas of Atlanta; his daughter-in-law and caregiver, Jan M. Lucas; and two granddaughters, Kathryn and Victoria Lucas, both of Gainesville.
Elizabeth Kinsey Sumner
Elizabeth Kinsey Sumner of Gainesville died Friday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 91.
Mrs. Sumner was a retired teacher at Far Hills Country Day School in Far Hills, N.J.
Mrs. Sumner was born in Hackettstown, N.J., and came here last year from Cape Coral. She was a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Penton Sumber Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Gay Lynn Greninger of Gainesville; two sons, John Penton Sumner Jr. of Saylorburg, Pa., and Richard Kinsey Sumner of Concord, Calif.; seven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Flora M. Allen
Flora M. "Mamaw" Allen of Kokomo, Ind., died Jan. 29Saturday at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo. She was 89.
A native of Alabama, Mrs. Allen moved to Chiefland from Kokomo in 1980. She returned to Kokomo in 1996.
She and her husband owned and operated the Hillbilly Inn in Kokomo.
She was a charter member of Christian Heritage Worship Center, where she served as a mother of the church.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Walter David Allen; and a son, Charles T. Allen.
Survivors include four daughters, including Mildred Eloise Bowman of Hawthorne; five sons, including Kenneth Allen and Doug Allen of Hawthorne; three sisters; a brother, 30 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Jonathon Michael Bastow
CHIEFLAND -- Jonathon Michael Bastow, the infant child of Kelly and Michael Bastow of Chiefland, died Jan. 26 at North Florida Regional Women's Center. He was deceased at birth.
Jonathon was a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, Jonathon is survived by a sister, Jacqueline Mae Bastow of Chiefland; his paternal grandparents, Becky and Dennis Bastow of Chiefland; his maternal grandparents, Karen and Daniel Park of Lakeland; his great-grandparents, Dorothy and Leroy Bastow of Chiefland; and his great-grandmothers, Edna Latimer of Dresden, Ontario, Madeline Park of Tupperville, Ontario, and Grace Goins of Idaho.
Joseph John Bonilla Jr.
LULU -- Joseph John "J.J." Bonilla Jr. died Friday at his Lulu residence following a brief illness. He was 57.
Mr. Bonilla was born in Long Island, N.Y., and moved to Lulu from Titusville in 1979.
He was the owner and operator of J & J Paving and Construction.
He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Thomas Bonilla of Lulu; a daughter, Ginger Bonilla McCrainie of Lake City; two sons, Greg Green of Lulu and Jay Bonilla of Jacksonville; two sisters, Mary Lee and Hope Little, both of Titusville; and a grandson.
Ruth M. Chadwell
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS -- Ruth M. Chadwell of Keystone Heights died Thursday at Homestead Alzheimer's Adult Care Living Facility following an extended illness. She was 87.
Mrs. Chadwell was born in Maryville, Tenn., and moved to Keystone Heights from Holly Hill, S.C., in 1997.
She was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church in Holly Hill, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Chadwell Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Barton of Cincinnati and Evelyn Butler of Keystone Heights; a son, Chester Chadwell Jr. of Irving, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
George Estes Cox
CHIEFLAND -- George Estes Cox of Chiefland died Tuesday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 74.
Mr. Cox was born in Gatliff, Ky., and lived in Old Town for 10 years before moving to Chiefland two years ago.
He was a disabled American veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Auger of Cape Coral, and Sherry Cox and Elain Cox, both of Covington, Ky.; and a brother, Arnold Cox of Kansas City.
Vera Sheridan Jackson
Vera Sheridan Jackson of Dunedin died Wednesday at Surrey Place of Live Oak following an extended illness. She was 80.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Lawrence, Mass., and moved to Dunedin in 1948.
She worked in accounts payable for the Pinellas County school administration for 42 years, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of the St. Petersburg Dog Fanciers, the Clearwater Kennel Club and the American Kennel Club. She was a dog handler and a judge for the American Kennel Club for more than 30 years.
She maintained an antique dealer's license for a number of years.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Batchelder of Live Oak; a brother, Kenneth Robinson of Jacksonville; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Otis Mae Lee
Otis Mae Lee of Gainesville died Monday at Shands at AGH. He was 64.
Mr. Lee was a retired custodian.
He was born in Fairfield and lived most of his life in Gainesville.
Mr. Lee was a member of the Growing in Faith Ministry in Gainesville.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Lee of Gainesville; a son, Ronald A. Lee of Gainesville; three sisters, Elsie Carter and Margaret Reynolds, both of Gainesville, and Corine Holloman of Archer; and five grandchildren.
Ralph Emmerson Mendenhall
Ralph Emmerson Mendenhall of Satellite Beach died Thursday at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne. He was 98.
Mr. Mendenhall was born in Montgomery County, Ohio, and moved to Brevard County from Dayton, Ohio, in 1980.
He was a salesman with Standard Oil Co.
Survivors include his wife of 78 years, Marion Mendenhall of Satellite Beach; a daughter, Lucille Barton of Satellite Beach; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several great-great- grandchildren.
