Rose Cecelia Krynski

Rose Cecelia Krynski of Gainesville died Monday at Palm Garden of Gainesville following a lengthy illness. She was 78.

Mrs. Krynski was born in Jersey City, N.J., and moved to Gainesville from Roselle Park, N.J., three years ago.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church and a former member of the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, where she served as a member of the Rosary Society.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Eugene J. Krynski of Gainesville; a son, Thomas Krynski of Gainesville; a daughter, Maureen Gannon of Mill Valley, Calif.; sisters Anastasia Donahue of Jersey City and Teresa Davis of Hawaii; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Hunter Mathis

Evelyn Hunter Mathis, a lifelong resident of Gainesville, died Monday at her home. She was 69.

Mrs. Mathis was a manager at Campus Bookshop & Bookstore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin B. Mathis.

Survivors include daughters Linda McIntyre of Ponchatoula, La., and Lisa Marks of Gainesville; and sisters Iola Green, Kathryn Dunn, Betty Jo Hodge and Rachel Barnes, all of Gainesville; and four grandchildren.

Melvin Waldo Morrill

CHIEFLAND - Melvin Waldo Morrill of Chiefland died Monday in Levy County. He was 43.

Mr. Morrill was born in Lehi, Utah, and moved to Chiefland nine years ago.

He was a welder and construction worker for Taylor Construction.

He was a Mormon.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Brunger Morrill of Chiefland; daughters Opal Faye and Loretta Jane Brunger, both of Chiefland; sons Marty Aaron Morrill of Lehi and Mark Melvin Morrill of Chiefland; a sister, Debbie Steve Morrill of Lehi; a brother, Randy Morrill of Lehi; and three grandchildren.

Lois Colburn Norton

OLD TOWN - Lois Colburn Norton of Old Town died Tuesday in Gainesville. She was 80.

Mrs. Norton was born in Conewango Valley, N.Y., and moved to Old Town from Gerry, N.Y., eight years ago.

She was a member of the World Wildlife Federation and The Nature Conservancy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Norton Jr.

Survivors include a son, David Colburn of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Ruth Maxgay of Old Town; a sister, Frances Hadley of Cassadaga, N.Y.; a foster brother, Jim Everetts of Western, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

Andrew Cornelius Hanley

Andrew Cornelius Hanley died Sunday at his residence in Bremerton, Wash. He was 56.

Mr. Hanley was born in Baltimore, Md., and moved to Bremerton 15 years ago.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his mother, Marge Hanley of Cedar Key; sons Spencer Hanley of El Paso, Texas, and Andrew "George" Hanley of Tampa; sisters Virginia Sinclair of Tampa and Vicki Gauger of Corona, Calif.; brothers Edward Hanley of Masarytown and John Hanley of Cedar Key; and three grandchildren.

Sherry Kornick-Harms

Sherry Kornick-Harms died Thursday at her residence in Gainesville. She was 51.

Mrs. Kornick-Harms was born in Key West and moved to Gainesville from Orlando 30 years ago.

She was director of medical records for Oaks Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was Jewish.

Survivors include a son, Charles Harms of Gainesville; her mother, Betty Ann Brown of Atlanta; and a sister, Joanne Fienburg of Atlanta.

Meredith Thomas Park

Meredith Thomas Park of Gainesville died Wednesday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was 54.

Mr. Park was born in Charlotte, N.C., and moved to Gainesville from Miami in 1980.

He was a chemical oceanographer and president of the P.P.B. Environmental Laboratory. He was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Florida Track Club. He volunteered at St. Francis House. He was a Vietnam War veteran. He enjoyed running, boating, fishing and diving. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Elizabeth Park of Gainesville; his mother, Mary Talley Park of Gainesville; a sister, Barbara Barr of San Jose, Calif.; and a brother, Gerald Park of Lincolnton, N.C.

Lonnie M. Clayton

LIVE OAK -- Lonnie M. Clayton died Friday at the Hospice Care Center following an extended illness. He was 81.

The Suwannee County native was a convenience store merchant and a Baptist.

Survivors include daughters Lynne Marable of Live Oak and Nancy Sullivan of Gainesville; sisters Frances Carmichael, Marjorie Nobles and Jean Ross, all of Live Oak; and five grandchildren.

Gerald Collier

HIGH SPRINGS -- Gerald Collier died Monday in Gainesville. He was 82.

Mr. Collier was born in St. Petersburg and moved to High Springs from Atlanta in 1963.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, retiring after 20 years of service at the rank of major. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and a retired postal carrier. He was the owner of Gerald Collier Real Estate.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of High Springs.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Collier of High Springs; sons John B. and Jerry Collier; brothers Warner and Judson Collier; and four grandchildren.

Marylee Ennis

Marylee Ennis, a lifelong resident of Gainesville, died Sunday at Shands at AGH. She was 77.

Mrs. Ennis was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen H. Ennis; and sons Allen and Lee Ennis.

Survivors include daughters Sydne McBride, Sharon Puckett and Sandra Fullenwider, all of Gainesville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Luvenia Miller

Luvenia "Minnie" Miller of Gainesville died Saturday at Shands at AGH. She was 82.

Mrs. Miller was born in Branford and moved to Gainesville from Newberry in the 1950s.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Newberry Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard H. Miller.

Survivors include a daughter, Frances A. Grantham of Gainesville; a brother, Werin T. "Dubb" Chance of Newberry; sisters Emily Lee Phillips of Gainesville and Linnie Bell Douglas of High Springs; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great- great-grandchild.
