He is survived by his wife, Arlene; a son, Charles of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a daughter, Jeanne Baird of Brandon; two brothers, Chester of Birmingham, Ala. and Robert of St. Louis; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
