ELMER OTTO CHRIST, 82, of New Port Richey died Tuesday at North Bay Medical Center. A native of Winfield Junction, N.Y., he moved to this area in 1988 from Huntington, N.Y. He was an electrical engineer and testing technician for Sperry Gyroscope Co. in Lake Success, N.Y.; an Army veteran of World War II and member of Central Presbyterian Church in Huntington and the Masons. He is survived by his wife, Lillian L.; a daughter, Diane Christ Hill of Lake Oswego, Ore.; and two granddaughters. Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home, Congress Street Chapel, New Port Richey.

ROSE COMITO, 93, of Holiday died Wednesday at Remington House in New Port Richey. A native of Poland, she moved to this area in 1976 from Middle Village, N.Y. She was a seamstress for the garment industry in New York and member of the Islamic Society of Tampa Bay. She is survived by a son, David Bogdanowitz of Holiday; two brothers, Alex Brandt of Holiday, and Albert Abramowitz of Stratford, Conn.; a sister, Marion Chelecki of Middle Village; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. THOMAS R. COOKE Sr., 85, of New Port Richey died Wednesday at Community Hospital. A native of Manhattan, N.Y., he moved to this area 20 years ago. He was a maintenance technician with Local Union 328 in New York City, Army veteran of World War II and member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Rose-Ellen; two sons, Thomas R. Jr. of Simsbury, Conn., and John of Valley Stream, N.Y.; a daughter, Lizabeth of New Rochelle, N.Y.; two brothers, John of Monroe, N.Y., and Howard of New Jersey; a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Medford, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. WILLIAM ROMANEC, 82, of Holiday died Wednesday at Mease Hospital in Dunedin. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, he moved to this area in 1972 from Chicago. He was a carpenter for Automatic Electric/ GTE in North Lake, Ill., made golf clubs at Wilson Sporting Goods of Illinois and Catholic. He is survived by two sons, Alexander of Largo, and Daniel of Cape Coral; a daughter, Boyana Babarovic of Lamirada, Calif.; two sisters, Maria Vujatovic Zayreb and Vera Fresl; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
