MARGARET A. MAURER, 79, of Zephyrhills died Monday at home. A native of Philadelphia, she moved to this area a month ago from Sellersville, Pa. She was a retired beauty salon owner and hairdresser, and Methodist. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Saylor Effrig of Zephyrhills; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Whitfield Funeral Home, Zephyrhills.

EVELYN R. O'CONNELL, 85, of Hudson died June 27 at Windsor Woods Convalescent Center. A native of Jersey City, N.J., she moved to this area 15 years ago from Beurgenfield,q N.J. She was a retired secretary for a publishing company and Catholic. She is survived by a niece, Eileen Ferdiand of Port Richey; and a cousin, Richard O'Connell of Nutley, N.J. Faupel Funeral Home, Port Richey.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene; two sons, Donald Eugene Hammer of Wheaton, Ill., and Dennis McGiles of Stow, Ohio; a daughter, Sue McGiles Gosser of Champaign; four brothers, Harold Wyatt of Cashiers, N.C., Merle of Clearwater, Donald of Los Angeles and Kenneth of Alabama; two sisters, Willetta Silva of Phoenixville, Pa., and Sandy Shelanti of Danville, Ill.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.
