CARTER FIELDS, 70, of Brandon died Thursday. A native of Elberton, Ga., he moved to the area in 1952. He was a retired driver for Ryder Truck Lines, Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Faith Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Iris V.; three sons, Craig of Stone Mountain, Ga., David and Robert, both of Brandon; and three sisters, Winiford Wingard of Bartow, Mattie Lena Evanson of Elberton and Irma Jean Cooper of Concord, N.C. Blount, Curry & Roel Funeral Homes, Garden of Memories Chapel, Tampa.

JOHN D. GAMBLE SR., 75, of Tampa died Friday. A native of Greenville, Pa,. he moved to the area in 1972. He was a pastor for the Assembly of God, a Navy veteran and member of the Faith Family Worship Center. He is survived by his wife, Grace; a son, John D. Jr. of Tampa; six daughters, Patricia Jackson, JoAnna Throop, Sherry McKinney, Linda Grant and Sharon Moon, all of Tampa, and Carol Jackson of Shinglehouse, Pa.; a sister, Esther Gardner of Burlington, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
