ELIZABETH M. SHEWBROOKS, 74, of New Port Richey died Friday at home. A native of Philadelphia, she moved to this area in 1993 from Westville, N.J. She was a retired waitress at the Colonial Diner in Woodbury, N.J. She is survived by a son, William Jr., of Clayton, N.J.; a daughter, Kimberly Williams of Westville, N.J.; a brother, Earl Scott of Pennsylvania; a sister, Joan Lawler of Tarpon Springs; and two grandchildren. Faupel Funeral Homes, Port Richey.

JACK D. WILLIAMSON, 59, of Zephyrhills died Saturday at East Pasco Medical Center in Zephyrhills. A native of Geneva, Ala., he moved to this area in 1973 from Tampa. He was a retired truck driver with Woodline Cabinet Co. in Zephyrhills and a veteran of the Army National Guard and Army Reserves. He is survived by his wife, Annie; three sons, Samson and Timmy, both of Zephyr hills, and Sammy of Fort Meade; two daughters, Tina Williamson of Zephyrhills and Jackie Phillips of Lacoochee; three brothers, Larry of Black, Ala., Jessie of Biloxi, Miss., and Billy of Atlanta, Texas; four sisters, Mattie L. Franck of Virginia Beach, Va., Mary F. Lloyd of Black, Johnnie Dexter of Grand Rapids, Minn., and Pearl Seymour of North Biloxi, Miss.; and nine grandchildren.

SHIRLEY W. CHROBAK, 67, of New Port Richey died Wednesday at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. She moved to this area 22 years ago from her native Pittsburgh. She was a librarian for the Pasco County Library System and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in New Port Richey. She is survived by four sons, John of Pittsburgh, Jeff of Columbus, Ohio, Jay and Joe of New Port Richey; two sisters, Mary Farley of Short Hills, N.J., and Darlene Hallam of Pittsburgh; and six grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Lois Poole of Zephyrhills, and Ruth Darling of Flint, Mich.; a brother, Arthur Stone of Cleveland; two sisters, Nannie Pearson and Shirley Lenora Wilson; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. JOHN R. "JACK" HAZLE, 76, of Holiday died Thursday at Welland County General Hospital in Welland, Ontario, Canada. A native of Quebec City, he moved to this area 19 years ago from Atlanta. He was a retired chemical engineer for Union Carbide Co. in Quebec, a volunteer for the International Executive Service Corps in Danbury, Conn., and a member of West Pasco Baptist Church. He also was a member of Forest Hills Civic Association in Holiday and the Moose Lodge #1429 in Tarpon Springs. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy"; three daughters, Barbara of Jacksonville, Lynda of Dallas, and Sandra Lasco of Columbus, Ohio; two stepsons, Edward Seltzer of Wytheville, Va., and Thomas Seltzer of Charleston, W.V.; a brother, Robert of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; two sisters, Beryl Peterson of Niagra Falls, Ontario, and Dorothy DuBois of Fenwick, Ontario; and five grandchildren. ANNA "PAT" M. Williams, 75, of Port Richey died Thursday at North Bay Medical Center in New Port Richey. A native of New York City, New York she moved to the area 12 years ago from Hicksville, N.Y. She was a retired production controller for General Instruments in Hicksville. She was a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in New Port Richey, the Lady's Ancient Order of Hibernians in New Port Richey, the Sons and Daughters of Aaron, and two Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries. She is survived by her husband, Robert J.; a son, Robert S. of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; a daughter, Patricia Stevens of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Thomas B. Jerry N. Harvey, a longtime Hillsborough County official who worked as a liaison with the black community, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Harvey, 64, was the brother of former Tampa City Councilman Perry Harvey and brother-in- law of Assistant County Administrator Jimmie Keel.
He worked for Hillsborough County for 34 years. Most recently, he was liaison for the county's division of African-American Affairs, relaying the concerns of black businesses and resi dents to government.
"Not only was he my brother- in-law, but he was my colleague," Keel said. "He was a super person."
Harvey, an Army veteran, graduated from Talladega College in Alabama in 1956 with degrees in biology and chemistry. He received master's degrees from Atlanta University and the University of South Florida. He was a graduate of Tampa's Middleton High School.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Ybor City's Allen Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a stepson, David Boerner of Seffner; two stepdaughters, Susan Cohick and Carol Violett, both of Tampa; his mother, Bernice of Tampa; a brother, John of Tampa; four sisters, ColeenQ Valdez of Sheboygan, Wis., Karen Hohenwald of St. Paul, Cindy Barber of Riverview and Cristy Bixler of Morrow, Ga.; and six grandchildren. VALERIE CHAPPELL, 39, of Tampa died Wednesday at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. A native of Nobleville, Ind., she moved to the area from Muncie, Ind., in 1994.
