He was a food broker, a Shriner and member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; a son, James III of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Geraldine Boone of Virginia Beach and Allison Young of Sanibel; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
