He was director of the Almonte Softball League and member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Francisca; two sons, Orlando Jr. and Omar, both of Tampa; a daughter, Celenia of Tampa; a brother, Chino of the Dominican Republic; and three sisters, Venecia Ramirez and Divina Rosario, both of Tampa, and Francisca Brea of N.Y.
