MURIEL COLSTON, 79, of New Port Richey died Saturday at Vencor Hospital Central Tampa. A native of Newark, N.J., she moved to New Port Richey from Tampa in 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Henry R. Jr.; a son, Henry R. III of Tampa; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. FELIX ``PHIL'' ORTOWSKI, 78, of New Port Richey died Friday at North Bay Hospital. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to the area 20 years ago from Whitestone, N.Y. He was a warehouse worker for R.H. Macy's, an Army veteran of World War II, a Catholic and a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans and the Florida Silverhaired Legislature. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; a son, Thomas of Mount Airy, Md.; a daughter, Joann Walfon of Holiday; two sisters, Helen Cappelli of Smithtown, N.Y., and Josephine Burgia of Zephyrhills; four granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. FAVATA, Angelo F., age 55, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at University Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Zoraida M. Favata; his sons, Sean F. Favata and wife, Yamilet and Thomas A. Favata; his daughter, Darcy A. Favata; his grandchildren Vincent and Nicholas Favata; his brother, Frank P. Favata and wife, Maryann; his nephews, Paul and Stephen Favata; his aunts and uncles, Mariana Pullara, Jimmy Favata, Rose Guggino, Dora Massaro, Josey Saladino and Josephine Favata; and numerous cousins. He attended Jefferson High School, University of South Florida and University of Tampa, receiving his Bachelors degree and Masters in Education. He was a teacher at Ferrell Middle Magnet School. He had taught for 33 years. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Phi Delta Kappa, Tampa Historical Society and Hillsborough Classroom Teacher Association. Born April 19, 1913 in Naniamo, British Columbia, Canada, she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie Griffith Smith. She resided in the United States since 1925 when her family settled in Nanticoke, Pa. She resided there for 8 years, New York, N.Y. for 36 years and the Tampa Bay area for 31 years. In her early life, she was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Nanticoke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Garcia; and by brothers John, Charles, George and Ben Smith; and sisters, Catherine `Kate` Troy, Edith `Sis` Thorne and Helen Yaple Thorne. Services will follow in Nanticoke, Pa., at a later date with interment in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
