Mary was born in Trenton, Ontario, Canada on October 8 , 1917, and was a proud member of the Bleecker family who were pioneers in establishing New York City and later Southern Ontario. After World War II, Mary lived in Ottawa where she raised her family, became a life-long member of Eastern Star and was in real estate. In 1966, she moved to Tampa where she was the secretary of the newly founded Bayshore Presbyterian Church, and for many years enjoyed participating with friends in `Keenagers` at the 1st Baptist Church in Temple Terrace. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening August 9th. He was employed by Winn-Dixie in Business Management and Accounting, retiring after twenty-seven years. He then moved to Idaho, where he was employed with Great American Foods, Nampa, Idaho in Business Management. He and his wife, Patricia `Pat` are currently owners and operators of the Carey Sport Shop in Carey, Idaho. Bob was a member of the Tampa Baptist Church, Tampa, Fla. He was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He loved sports. Bob will be buried in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa, Fla. Arrangements to be announced. WATKINS, Margaret Fortner, 84, on Friday evening, August 3, 2001, the Good Shepherd took Margaret by the hand to rejoin her loving husband, son, and parents. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bryce and Paul Forney. Margaret was born in Florence on February 12, 1917 to Margaret Bryce and William Jefferson Fortner. She attended Queens College in Charlotte and Greenville Women's Coll ege and performed recreational work for the USO during World War II. She was a member of Central Methodist Church where she married Harry C. Watkins on June 6, 1945 and was the mother of two children, Clay and Bryce. Margaret died peacefully at home with her family at her side in Laguna Hills, California where she has resided for the last five years. Survived by his wife, Betty Hammer; daughter, Melissa Riddlesworth, of Lutz; grandchildren, Kim Wiezycki and Eric Pender, both of Tampa and great-grandsons, John Dillon Pender and Adam Wiezycki. Mr. Hammer was a graduate of Duke University and was a retired Lt. Col., USAF. He was a member of the 44th Bombardment Group during World War II and was Past President of the American Society of Arms Collectors and the Florida Gun Collectors.
