JONES, Robert D., a native of Tampa, born July 21, 1922, died August 7, 2001. He is survived by wife, Kathryn; children, Donna Guzman, Robert Jones Jr., Rick, Janet Bogush, Steve; and 14 grand-

children, and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Van Dyke United Methodist Church on 5620 Lakeside Dr. in Odessa. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kidney foundation or National Cancer Society.

JOSEPH, Erron III, infant, Tampa, died July 27, 2001. He is survived by parents, Millicent and Erron; relatives and friends.

LEGER, Raymond, 78, of Land O' Lakes, passed away on August 7, 2001, at the University Community Hospital of Carrollwood. He is survived by two brothers, Joe Leger of Springfield, Mass. and Paul Leger of Nashville, Tenn. He is also survived by Angelo Fortin of Land O' Lakes. He was born in Fitchburg, Mass. and moved to Land O' Lakes from Connecticut in 1962. He served in the Army Air Corp WWII. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery on Friday at 10:00 a.m.


LOVE, Marilyn Kaye, 63, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Surviving her is her mother, Iva Love Shelton of Dunedin; sister, Jan Hoepner of Indianapolis; a brother, Robert Love of Clearwater; several nieces and nephews, and long time friend, Edgar A. DeVine of Seminole. She worked for Air Canada for 35 years where she was lead customer service agent and reserva tion agent until her retirement, receiving Honorable Mention for the Award of Excellence in 1997. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 10, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Idlewild Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Idlewild Baptist Church at 1515 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, Florida 33617, or to a charity of choice.

Mrs. Reyes was born in Havana, Cuba and came to Tampa 15 years ago. She was a parishioner at S acred Heart Catholic Church. THOMPSON, Mary Lillie Bleecker, 83, of Tampa passed away on Monday, August 6, 2001. Mary is survived by a loving family that includes her daughters, Mary Elizabeth Lama and her husband, Dr. Ricardo F. Lama, of Lima, Peru, and Patricia Anne Hart and her husband, Commissioner Chris Hart, of Tampa; six grandchildren, State Rep. Chris Hart IV and his wife, Amy, of Tampa, Ricardo L. Lama and his wif e, Alana, of Ottawa, Canada, Victor David Lama and his wife, Celina, of Knoxville, Tennessee, Christopher A. Lama and his wife, Magally, Timothy Charles Lama and Lillie Rose Lama, of Lima, Peru; and five great grandchildren, Maddie and Charlie Hart, of Tampa, Timothy John Lama, of Lima, Peru and Luigi and Brandon Lama, of Knoxville, Tennessee. Mary was born in Trenton, Ontario, Canada on October 8 , 1917, and was a proud member of the Bleecker family who were pioneers in establishing New York City and later Southern Ontario. After World War II, Mary lived in Ottawa where she raised her family, became a life-long member of Eastern Star and was in real estate. In 1966, she moved to Tampa where she was the secretary of the newly founded Bayshore Presbyterian Church, and for many years enjoyed participating with friends in `Keenagers` at the 1st Baptist Church in Temple Terrace. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening August 9th. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10th, at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Tampa with the Reverend Kathy Conner of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church officiating.

WALTERS, Robert Neil, 59, died August 6, 2001 in Carey, Idaho under the care of Hospice. Bob was preceded in death by his `Dad` L. Neil Walters. Survived by his wife, `Pat` Carey, Idaho; mother, Mildred Wadsworth Walters, Tampa, Fla.; his daughter, Sharon E. Walters, US Navy, Virginia Beach, Va.; stepson, Patrick and his wife, Cheryl Fridley, Leland, Idaho. Bob Walters was born and reared, in T ampa, Fla., where he graduated from Hillsborough High School. Bob attended University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida and graduated from Campbell University, Buies Creek, N.C. with a degree in Business Management and Accounting. He was employed by Winn-Dixie in Business Management and Accounting, retiring after twenty-seven years. He then moved to Idaho, where he was employed with Great American Foods, Nampa, Idaho in Business Management. He and his wife, Patricia `Pat` are currently owners and operators of the Carey Sport Shop in Carey, Idaho. Bob was a member of the Tampa Baptist Church, Tampa, Fla. He was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He loved sports. Bob will be buried in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa, Fla. Arrangements to be announced. In lieu of flowers a memorial remembrance may be made to the Keenager Funds (Senior Citizens) of Tampa Baptist Church, 300 E. Sligh Ave., Tampa, FL 33604.

WATKINS, Margaret Fortner, 84, on Friday evening, August 3, 2001, the Good Shepherd took Margaret by the hand to rejoin her loving husband, son, and parents. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bryce and Paul Forney. Margaret was born in Florence on February 12, 1917 to Margaret Bryce and William Jefferson Fortner. She attended Queens College in Charlotte and Greenville Women's Coll ege and performed recreational work for the USO during World War II. She was a member of Central Methodist Church where she married Harry C. Watkins on June 6, 1945 and was the mother of two children, Clay and Bryce. Margaret died peacefully at home with her family at her side in Laguna Hills, California where she has resided for the last five years. Funeral Service is Saturday by Waters-Powell Funeral Home, Florence, South Carolina.

BISHOP, III, Howard V., 72, of Zephyrhills, died August 2, 2001, at Hernando-Pasco Unit Royal Oak Nursing Center, Dade City. He is survived by two step-daughters and three grandchildren. He moved to the area one year ago from Tampa and was a US Navy veteran.

HAMMER, Lt. Col. John D., 86, of Tampa, died Monday, August 6, 2001 at his home at The Grand Court. Survived by his wife, Betty Hammer; daughter, Melissa Riddlesworth, of Lutz; grandchildren, Kim Wiezycki and Eric Pender, both of Tampa and great-grandsons, John Dillon Pender and Adam Wiezycki. Mr. Hammer was a graduate of Duke University and was a retired Lt. Col., USAF. He was a member of the 44th Bombardment Group during World War II and was Past President of the American Society of Arms Collectors and the Florida Gun Collectors. He also owned an antiques store in St. Petersburg for many years. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the Mausoleum at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Victor Hinrichs; daughter, Lois Wolf; two brothers, John Plantikow and Martin Plantikow; grandson, Brian Wolf and his wife, Kim; and granddaughter, Vicki Jordan and her husband, John; seven great-grandchildren, Megan and Nick Wolf, Heidi Wolf, and Aaron, Angie, Johnathan and Jesse Jordan .
