BRYANT, Ruth Lane, 77, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 at her home. A native of St. Petersburg, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Bryant, former Pasco County Property Appraiser. She was a homemaker, and had lived in Tampa for 37 years. She was a former model for Webb City, St. Petersburg and a Christian. She is survived by her children, son Robert E. Bryant and his wife Aline, and a daughter Linda Bryant Lee; five grandchildren, William Joseph Yardley, Brandi Lynn Yardley, Robert Scott Lee, Aline Lane Bryant, and Robert E. Bryant, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Kiera Lynn Yardley. Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, at the Funeral Home. He is survived by his loving wife, Muriel; son, John Bogan of Clayton, Ga.; daughter, Vickie Meyer of Brandon, Fla.; brother, Ragene Bogan of Tenn.; and a sister, Arline Locke of Chiefland, Fla. George was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars since 1954, transferring his membership to Post 4340 of Brandon in 1999. He will be memorialized at Florida National Cemetery

EICHHOLZ, Gerhard C., Ph.D., LCDR (Ret.), aka `Doc` and `Poppa Gary`, born Rochester, N.Y., passed away September 14, 2002. Predeceased by his daughter, Anita Corrine. He is survived by a son, Gary Eichholz III, Tampa, Fla.; sister, Martha Lemcke, Brockport, N.Y.; former spouse, friend and confidante, Antoinette (Toni) Eichholz, Tampa, Fla.; five nieces, nephews and grand nephews and nieces. He received M.S. Degree from Bowling Green State Univ., Ohio, and was on the teaching staff. He taught in Maumee, Ohio. Received his Ph.D. at Ohio State University, and was on staff there. He joined the Navy, was commissioned as a Naval Aviator with Squadron VP-5, Jacksonville, Fla.; retired from active Navy as LCDR, and remained in Naval Reserve. He was charter staff as well as Director, Division Educational Resources, University of South Florida. He developed and pursued the establishment of WUSF radio station FM 89.7, and WUSF television Channel 16, while Director for 13 years as well as establishing Open University which allowed students to take credit courses on TV. Left USF to start his own company developing educational training materials that are used throughout the world. He pub lished articles, created films, cassettes, and lesson guides for teaching and training. Produced materials for NFIE teaching kids math. Created another company, NSWI, was Senior Consultant and Advisor of safety and loss control in the solid waste industry throughout five states until his recent retirement due to health. This kind, humorous, overly generous man was loved and respected by many in hi s private pursuits, as well as the business world, and will be forever missed.
