SNYDER, Joseph Walter, 82, of Holiday, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002 at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Holiday from Syosset, N.Y. in 1983. He was a retired manager of Super Sash Mill works, Mineola, N.Y. (45 years of service); an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II; and member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church, Tarpon Springs. Survivors include three daughters, Joan Morreale of Holiday, Linda Galati of Commack, N.Y., and Deborah Fazio of Melbourne; sister, Catherine Nimmo of Brooklyn, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 11, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. at Dobies Funeral Home. Mass will be Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

WILLIAMS, Maryanna, 92, of New Port Richey, passed away November 7, 2002 at her home. Born on September 27, 1910, she came here 30 years ago from her native Nassau, New Hampshire. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a retired inspector for the Mohawk Brush Co. in Albany, N.Y. Survivors include a niece, Joyce Silver of New Hampshire. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 11 from 12-2 p.m. with Funeral service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Avendano is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maria; sisters-in-law, Digna Martinez, Cuba Luis, Ana Martinez; brother-in-law, Antonio Martinez; nieces and nephews, Enrique Avendano, Luis Luis, Armando Luis, Lupe Ramos, Maria Martinez and Mayra Luis. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. at Blount Curry & Roel Funeral Homes, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Garden of Memories Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

DOYLE, John M., 88, of Ruskin, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002 at Brandon Hospital. He served in the Coast Guard, Maritime Service and was Chief Engineer on the Great Lakes for 29 years. A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; five sons; three daughters; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A memorial mass will be set at a later date at St. Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin.

DYGAS, Ruth M., 70, of Tampa passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. She is survived by her husband, George; a daughter, Donna Fortney of Tampa; two sons, James of Chicago and William of Tampa; three sisters, Ilse Dreischmeier, Christa Schmidt, and Margot Adam all of Germany; and two grandchildren, Angela and Annette Fortney. Ruth leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and honesty. Her caring nature extended to everyone she touched - family, friends, and animals. She was truly one-of-a-kind and will not be forgotten. A graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002 at 11:30 a.m.

Prior to retirement he was a machinist with Bendix Brake & Steering Division. Survivors include three sons, Donald L. Forbes of Jupiter, Gilbert Leon Forbes of Orlando, and Gordon Dale Forbes of LaPorte, Ind.; one sister, Doris Whitmore of Madison, Wis.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. GUERRIERE, Joseph S., of Tampa, passed away November 7, 2002 in Tampa. Mr. Guerriere was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rhonda Cacciatore. Survivors include his longtime companion, Barbara Warner; sisters, Mary Guerriere and Marian Jimenez; brother, Nelson and wife, Vera Guerriere; daughter, Dianne Cacciatore; grandchildren, Donna and Rex Cacciatore; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Guerriere was a retired banker and musician. In lieu of flowers contributions to LifeLink Foundation in memory of Mr. Guerriere would be appreciated. Services and burial will be private.

JIMENEZ, Francisco `Frank`, Jr., 61, of Tampa, passed away November 6, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Jimenez; his children, Chris, Melissa, Michele, Sierra and their spouses; six grandchildren; and two brothers. `Dad, you will be dearly missed.` Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 8436 N. PRESTON, Neil William, 18, died November 2, 2002 in Killeen, Texas, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Survived by his parents, William and Yong Mi Preston of Korea; two sisters, Patty Preston and Tracy Braga and her husband Renny; his grandmother, Dorothy Tegtmeier; and a nephew, Ryan Preston, all of Tampa. ROCKWELL, John Michael (Mike), 50, of Oldsmar, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2002 at his residence under the care of Hospice. He was born in Dunedin, and was a lifetime resident. He was a maintenance man for the Oldsmar Flea Market. His clubs and activities included the Oldsmar City Councilman 1993-97; the North Bay Moose Lodge #2373 in Oldsmar; and the Community United Methodist Church of Oldsmar. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Mary L. Rockwell of Oldsmar; two daughters, Dawn Rockwell of Holiday and Jennifer Rockwell of Oldsmar; parents, John (Rocky) and Joyce Rockwell of Oldsmar; sister, Janet Chapman of Odessa; and granddaughter, Jordan Noel Rockwell of Holiday. Memorial Funeral Services will be Monday 11 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church of Oldsmar, 207 Buckingham Avenue East, Oldsmar, with the Rev. Christopher Schmidt, Pastor officiating. WAKELAND, Barbara P., 71, of Tampa took her place with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2002. She is survived by her son, Warren of Wilmington, N.C; daughter, Cathy, and her brother Charles H. Primm, both of Tampa. She was a member of Village Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Village Presbyterian Church, 13115 S. Village Drive in Carrollwood. Private interment will follow. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the Village Presbyterian Church.

WALKER, Carlton E., 78, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly Robbins Walker of Sun City Center; son, Roger and wife Suzanne of Longmont, Colo.; daughter, Janet and husband, Charles of Sandy Hook, Conn.; five grandchildren, Laura, Holly, Timothy, Mark and Rebecca; and one brother, Leland and wife, Ava of North Fort Myers, Fla. Carl was born in Farmington, Maine of October 2, 1924 to Charles and Florence (Coolidge) Walker. He was a 1942 graduate of Farmington High School. Upon graduation, he entered the US Army and became a Decorated Bronze Star veteran after serving in the European Theatre as a Technician 3rd Grade in Company B of the 94th Signal Battalion. After World War II, Carl married Beverly Robbins in Portland, Maine in 1946. He attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1950. Carl worked for the U.S. Motors and Emerson Electric of Milford, Conn. retiring after 35 years of service. Carl still visited the family camps on Flying Pond in Mt. Vernon, Maine. Upon his retirement in 1985, Carl and Bev chose to make their summer home in Mt. Vernon, Maine and their winter home in Sun Cily Center, Fla., where they both became members of the Sun City Center, North/South Golf Course and the United Community Church. Carl was a wonderful husband, loving father and all around good person will be greatly missed. Memorial Service will be held at the Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. on Fr iday, November 29, 2002 at 10 a.m. with Dr. Michael F. Evans officiating. Interment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Farmington, Maine this summer. BERTRAM, Harold Duane `Buddy`, left this world to be with our Lord on Monday, November, 11, 2002 in Brooksville, Fla. Buddy was born at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. on March 29, 1967. He graduated from Hernando High School in Brooksville in 1985. After graduation from high school, Buddy attended and graduated from `The Conklin Center for the Blind` in Daytona, Fla. where he lived and worked for the Division of Blind Services for a number of years. Buddy moved to Homosassa, Fla. to be closer to his family and was on the Board of Directors for `The Blind Americans, Inc.` at 6055 N. Carl G. Rose Hwy., Hernando, FL 34442, where he also taught Braile until early this year when complications with diabetes. set in. Buddy is survived by his loving parents, Duane A. and Rhea Bertram of Brooksville; his brother, Rick D. Bertram of Port Richey; and two nephews, Michael D. Bertram of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. and Paul J. Bertram of St. Petersburg. A quiet service will be held with the immediate family and close personal friends. Donations may be made to `The Blind Americans, Inc.` in Buddy's name. He will be missed by all that he touched and that knew him. The comfort comes from knowing that he was a child of the King and is now in a much better place.

GALLAGHER, Gerald, 100, of Zephyrhills, passed away on November 9, 2002. Mr. Gallagher was born in Plymouth, Pa. and moved here in 1980 from Williamsport, Pa. He retired from Bell Telephone Co. after 35 years of service. Mr. Gallagher was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Dade City. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; two sons, Gerald Gallagher of Hockessin, Delaware and Daniel J. of Morristown, New Jersey; daughter, Martha Shearer of Itasca, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was a retired police officer from Bellingham Police Department after 25 years. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey. Mr. Gill was preceded in death by his daughter, Doreen Smallwood. He is survived by his wife, Annette; two sons, Leo of Bellingham and Jeffrey of Blackstone, Mass; two daughters, Donna Johnson of Pawtuckett, R.I. and Denise `Dee` Teasdale of Tampa; two brothers, Kenneth of North Attleboro, Mass. and Roland of Blackstone; four sisters, Alice Lizotte of New Port Richey, Janice Gentile and Joyce Newton, both of Woonsocket, R.I. and Joan Fontaine of Bellingham, Mass.; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. KEE, Carol A., 61, of Zephyrhills and Waukegan, Ill., passed away November 9, 2002 in Dade City. Survived by her three children; Robert LeRoy Walton, Jr. of Beach Park, Fla., Deborah Walton-Coleman of Waukegan, Ill. and Ronald Walton of Zephyrhills; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four brothers, George, Gerald, Glenn and Gregory Grosch. She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister. Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, November 15, 2002 at Marsh Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, Ill. Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Ill. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 14 and 9-10 a.m. Friday, November 15 at the Marsh Funeral Home. She was born August 19, 1941 in Chicago, Ill. Carol retired from Customer Service at Sears after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Waukegan Moose Lodge #706, the Waukegan Democratic Party, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

MUZYK, Stanley Paul, 85, of Holiday, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at Community Hospital, New Port Richey. Born in Simsbury, Conn., he moved here from East Hampton, Conn., in 1967. He was a machine operator for Honeywell. He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Holiday. Survivors include three daughters, Rose Gomes of Springhill, June Lowrey of Middlefield, Conn., and Helen Cuedet of Brooksville; seven grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. NOLDEN, Robert, 91, of Ocala, passed away November 12, 2002 at the Estelle Hospice House in Ocala. Born in Germany, he lived in Port Richey for 32 years before moving to Ocala one year ago. He was a retired self-employed home builder, and a Catholic. He is survived by two sons, Robert P. Nolden of Ocala and Arthur R. Nolden of New Port Richey; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, where a chapel service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson. SEBREE, Robert Lee, 87, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at Tampa General Hospital. A native of Caney, Kansas, he was a winter visitor from Peru, Indiana since 1978. He was the former owner of Hillcrest Lanes in Peru and was a member of the American Legion in Kokomo, Indiana. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Esther; a son, Gary Sebree of Land O' Lakes; a daughter, Sally Deitch and her husband Tom of Tampa; two sisters, Gladys Puterbaugh of Greentown, Indiana and Hazel Wooton of Mt. Dora, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Rachael and Natalie Deitch of Tampa. Funeral Services will be private.

BRADFORD, Mary B., 86, loving mother and grandmother left us to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 12, 2002. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Alfred Lee. She was a resident of the area since 1942 from her hometown of Decherd, Tenn. Survivors include her two sons, Roland and wife Kathy and Junior and wife Eleanor; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Aileen Fagg, Rosie Osbourne and W.T. Moon. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and will be missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 15, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

CANAL, Eloina Vazquez, age 88, of Tampa passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2002. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a longtime resident of West Tampa and Ybor City. Mrs. Canal worked in the Cigar Industry for over 15 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was truly one of a kind. She is survived by her son Randy Canal of Wingate, N.C.; brothers, Lionel and Robert Vazquez; sisters, Argelia Rodriguez and Norma Ferrera; grandchildren, Randy, Jr., Jacob, Clint, Curtis, and Cristy; great-grandson, Clayton; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Boza Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., with Rev. Fr. Joseph F. Doyle, S.J. officiating.

CANN, Adrian Flenner, 80, of Riverview, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002. He is survived by two sons; two daughters, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
