PARKER, William F. `Bill`, 82, of Zephyrhills, died Friday, March 21, 2003. He was born May 26, 1920 in Allen, Michigan to Edward and Sarah (Bronstetter) Parker and was an Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Largo, Florida, then moved to Ohio to work as a truck driver. He was the recipient of the Million Mile, Safe Driver award and retired in 1980 from Preston Motor Freight in Akron, Ohio before coming to Zephyrhills. Memberships included the Victorious Life Assembly of God in Wesley Chapel. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stella Parker; a son, William F. Parker, Jr.; and granddaughter, Rebecca Louise Parker. Survivors include his wife, of 63 years, Beverly J. Parker of Zephyrhills; three sons, Thomas M. (Dixie) Parker of Rittman, Ohio, David B. (Beverly) Parker of Mogadore, Ohio, and Mark S. (Dolly) Parker of Clinton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Lois Harrison of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers, Eldon E. Parker of Fanning Springs, Fla. and James D. Parker, Sr. of Cedar Park, Texas; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5-7 p.m. The Funeral will be Tuesday March 25, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Victorous Life Assembly of God in Wesley Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla.

POCK, Althea Leonora Tobey, 94, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, March 16, 2003 at the Homestead. She was born in Canton, New York on August 17, 1908. Althea was the daughter of Leslie and Iva C. Morse Tobey. She married Alfred Pock in 1929. Alfred predeceased her after 56 years of marriage. Althea and husband, Alfred lived and worked in Corning, NY, for many years. Althea worked at the Corning Glass Works as a nurse's aide and then maintained a home on High Street in Corning. Prior to Alfred's retirement from the Corning Glass Works, they purchased the Stiles Motel in Coopers Plains. After several successful years at Stiles Motel, they retired and relocated to Waverly, N.Y.; where they later moved to Zephyrhills, Florida. After her husband's death in 1985, Althea moved to Lakeland and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Zephyrhills. Althea later returned to New York in the fall of 1992, to be closer to her family. She resided at ClintonCrest Manor from 1992 until the summer of 2002. She moved to the Homestead in the summer of 2002. She is survived by her brother, Donald R. Tobey of Reston, Va.; sister, Marian Waugh of Penn Yan, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Guilford, Franklin, Lyall Tobey; sister, Elizabeth Hill and Carol Louise Tobey. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Gardens in Zephyrhills, Florida.

STONE, Carlton F., 73, of Zephyrhills passed away March 20, in Dade City. He is survived by his wife, Betty of Zephyrhills; two daughters, Doris (Mike Feduccia) Wagner of Zephyrhills and Deborah (Kenneth) Malone of Jasper, Fla.; a son, Edwin (Priscilla) Stone of Riverview; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Hardy of Orlando; and a sister Loutrell O'Steen of Tampa. A Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa. Born December 3, 1929 in Cordele, Ga., to Henry and Hattie (Fountain) Stone, he came to Zephyrhills three years ago from Tampa. He was a Utility Pipe Foreman in Construction and a member of the Central Christain Church in Tampa.

WIGGINS, Marguerite McKendree, 92, died of heart failure Friday, March 21, 2003 at home in Azalea Park of Lakeland. Born in Georgia on June 9, 1910, she lived in Tampa and Brandon, Fla., before moving to Lakeland two years ago. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Brandon where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a 50 year member of the Areme Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. She was an auditor for the Hillsborough County School System. Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by husband, Lee Wiggins in 1987; husband, W.B. McKendree Sr. in 1971; and son, W.B. McKendree, Jr. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Stokes of Lakeland; sons, Carroll B. DeLoach of Winter Haven and Ralph H. McKendree of Richland, Ga.; and stepdaughter, Monnette Stewart of Trenton, Fla.; sister, Rosalie Kirkland, Ocala, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 14 great great-grandchildren. Funeral will be Tuesday at Stowers Funeral Home in Brandon at 10:00 a.m., with visitation for one hour preceding services. Burial will be at Garden of Memories in Tampa. A memorial service will be held at Azalea Park on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Armeson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.

ANDREWS, Carla, 50, of Land O' Lakes, Fla., passed away March 23, 2003 at East Pasco Care Center. Born in Tampa, she moved to Land O' Lakes in 1985 and was a Medical Malpractice investigator. Mrs. Andrews was Jewish. She is survived by husband, Harold Andrews of Land O' Lakes; son, Jeffrey Ryan Andrews of Bushnell, Fla.; daughter, Tiffany Marie and husband, James Blackman of Spring Hill, Fla.; stepdaughter, Leah Anne Andrews of Jacksonville, Fla.; father, Howard and wife, Jean Fulwood of Gibsonton, Fla.; brother, Mark Fulwood of Tampa, Fla.; stepbrother, Ted Amlong of Brandon, Fla.; sisters, Lisa and husband, Paul Mark of Miami, Fla., Cynthia Fulwood of Ruskin; stepsister, Karen Sandler of Miami; and one grandson, Dakota Ryan Andrews. Family will receive friends at Loyless Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, 2003 between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. with service at 2:00. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery. BALES, John `Jack`, 75, of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away March 21, 2003. Jack was born in Big Stone Gap, Virginia but lived in the Tampa area for many years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Goldie; sons, John A. of Tampa, Greg and wife, Teresa, of Zephyrhills; daughter, Karen Baldwin and husband, Larry, of Lake Wales; two sisters, Pearl Bazinet of Jupiter, Tootsie Zarnowski of Del Ray Beach; seven grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. Family was the most important thing in his life and he provided his family with unconditional love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden of Memories Chapel on Wednesday, March 26, 2003. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to service.

BARNUM, Minnie Lee, 83, of Tampa passed Mar. 17, 2003. She is survived by son, Usher. Viewing is Tuesday 5-8 p.m. with wake 7-8 p.m. and service Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John P.M.B.

CUMMINGS, Keith W., 79, died on Jan. 24, 2003 after a long illness. He was born in Gouvernor, New York, and he grew up in Carthage, New York. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in Dec. 1941, and was trained as a Tail-Gunner on a B-17. He attained the rank of Staff Sgt., and completed three bombing missions over enemy territory on D-Day. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He married Kathryn Barton of Tampa on Feb. 9, 1944. They were married 58 years. He was a supervisor for Hartline Transportation and retired in 1990. He is survived by his widow and various nieces and nephews. A private funeral service was held. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 29, at St. Lawrence Church. HALE, Charles A.,69, of Land O' Lakes, FL died March 21, 2003 at his residence. Born in Sparta, TN, he moved to Land O' Lakes from Clearwater, FL in 1986. He was a retired Army Lt. Colonel. Mr. Hale is survived by wife Dolores of Land O' Lakes; Sons Steven Hale of Atlanta, GA, Michael and wife Beth Hale of Dyersburg, TN, Robert Beaty of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughter Patricia and husband James Hodge of Jacksonville, FL, Leah Lamblaz of Jacksonville, FL, and Jennifer Hale of Martin, TN; mother Mildred Hale of Lenore City, TN; half brother Bill Hale of Cocoa Beach, FL; sister Janette Hale of Knoxville, TN; half sisters Karen Poe of Tucker GA, Ruth Greer of Madison, IN and Susan and husband Van Doolittle of Vestal NY; and six grandchildren.

IANUZI, Paul Francis, 68, of Tampa, passed away March 22, 2003. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was in the Army, stationed in Alaska. He also owned a bulldozing business, before moving to Tampa, where he has lived for the last 41 years. Mr. Ianuzi is preceded in death by his father, Francis Ianuzi. Survivors include four children, Kathleen Ianuzi Kafka, Susan Ianuzi Pryles, Paul Ianuzi Jr. and David Ianuzi; his mother, Olga Ianuzi Bresovski; his sister, Judy Ianuzi Garn; nieces and nephew, Jeffery Thayer and Lynn Thayer Mullett; former wife, Elefteria Ianuzi; eight grandchildren, Keirsten Kafka, Preston Kafka, Pierce Kafka, Paul Kafka, Dean Pryles, Christina Pryles, Nicholas Pryles and Alyssa Ianuzi. Funeral services will be held Monday 12 noon at the funeral home Boza & Roel 4730 N. Armenia Ave. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. MISTRETTA, Virginia D., age 96, of Tampa, passed away quietly in her home, March 22, 2003 with her family by her side. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mrs. Mistretta was born October 15, 1906 as a first generation American of Sicilian ancestry. She was a fluent speaker of English, Spanish and Sicilian/Italian. Mrs. Mistretta worked in the cigar industry, later worked along side her husband in the Tile and Terrazzo Business. She will not be known for her successes in industry of politics, but rather by her `love through the kitchen`; support of her husband's and family's business endeavors, maintaining a strong and loving household. She was an outstanding cook whose recipes featured Italian, Spanish and Southern cuisine's, Her grandsons have always been the love of her life and she so loved her four great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her `nanna`. She was a lifelong member of the Sons of Italy and Columbus Celebration of Tampa. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Joseph C. Mistretta. Mrs. Mistretta is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Violet M. Teston and Gene K. Teston, Sr.; grandsons, Gene K. Teston, Jr., and Joe M. Teston; great-grandch ildren, Annabeth, Catalina, Joseph W. and Madison Teston; granddaughters-in-law, Roseann and Beth Ann Teston; and nieces, Rose Ann Fernandez and Francine N. Brown. A special thanks to Sam and Millie Pietrini for their love and attention. A Funeral Mass will be offered for the repose of her soul Tuesday morning at 11 a.m., at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Monsignor Laurence E. Higgins, P.A., P astor, officiating. PRESSLY, Matilda Atkinson, 77, died Thursday, March 20, 2003 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky. She was a lifelong resident of Tampa, Fla., and had most recently lived with her daughter and family in Louisa, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Mattie Williams and Thomas Atkinson. Mrs. Pressly was born October 14, 1925 in Haines City, Fla. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Palmer William Pressly; and a son, Bill Pressly. She was a housewife and member of Thonotosassa United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Hatten and Nancy Kennedy; two sisters, Stuart Wier and Jeanett Jordan; a brother, Thomas Atkinson; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Saul was a lifelong resident of Davis Islands where she was among the founders of the Davis Islands Civic Association, She volunteered as a Docent at the Tampa Museum of Art, was a civic activist, active with the Women's Division of the Tampa Jewish Federation and a member of Temple Schaarai Zedek. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, M. William (Bill) Saul.
