BENETATOS, Anastasia, 79, of Port Richey, died Monday, July 21, 2003 at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. She was born in Cefalonia, Greece and moved to Port Richey from Chicago, Ill. in 1988. She was a seamstress for Hart, Schaffner & Marx in Chicago, Ill. with 18 years of service and a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in New Port Richey. Survivors include her husband, Konstantinos Benetatos of Port Richey; sons, Vasilios Benetatos and Andreas Benetatos, both of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Eleni Kokkalis of Greece and Hariklia Tirovolas of Chicago, Ill.; one brother in Belgium and one brother in Australia; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

BESSENGER, Pearl, died quietly at her home in Dade City on Tuesday, July 22, 2003. She was 94 years old. Born in Floral City, Fla., on April 2, 1909, she was the youngest of four children born to Jonathan and Flora Belle Knight. Pearl married F. Leslie Bessenger of Dade City in 1927. The couple lived in Memphis, Tenn. until Pearl returned to Floral City for the birth of their first child, Mary Reid (Smith) in 1929. Within a year, the Bessengers returned to Dade City and Leslie signed on as a deputy sheriff, the beginning of a long career in law enforcement. When Mary Reid was five, Les and Pearl moved to their home on Southview Avenue. Their son Frank Leslie Bessenger, Jr. was born in 1938. Leslie Bessenger served as Sheriff of Pasco County for 23 years and Pearl was always actively involved in his re-election campaigns. Leslie Bessenger passed away in March, 1969. Pearl was an avid gardener most of her life and the Dade City Garden Club was organized in Pearl's living room. She was an active member of the Dade City Woman's Club for many years. She also loved to travel and over the course of her life traveled to Europe, Russia, South America, the Far East, Hawaii, the Holy Land s and Iran. Always, though, it was home that was the center of Pearl's life. Her home was a welcome haven to family and friends of all ages. All who passed through her doors throughout the nearly 70 years Pearl lived in Dade City were touched by her friendship, loyalty, and gracious hospitality. She has been `Mama Pearl` to so many. Pearl is predeceased by her daughter, Mary Reid Smith, who passed away in March, 2003. She is survived by her son, Frank L. Bessenger, Jr. and his wife, Melinda of Dade City; son-in-law, Terry Smith of Dade City; grandchildren, Mary Leslie Olive (Jim) of Jacksonville, Henry Auvil of Hudson, N.Y., Jonathan L. Auvil (Leslie) of Dade City, Mary Wynn Seiter (Joe) of Ridgewood, N.J., F. Leslie Bessenger III (Sandy) of Tokyo, Japan, Major I. Reid Bessenger, USMC of F redericksburg, Va. and Harriet Knight Chase (Steve) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Haley, Carlyn and William Olive, Julia Knight and Reid Auvil, Thomas Joseph, Andrew, Matt and Jack Seiter, F. Leslie IV and Sarah Bessenger, Nate and Brittany Bessenger and Cadis, Sage and Ivey Chase. The memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dade City on Thursday, July 24, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be given in Pearl's memory to Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 7066 Ft. King Rd, Zephyrhills, Fla.

COLLINS, Marjorie, 70, of Zephyrhills, died Sunday, July 20, 2003. at her residence. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she moved to this area 25 years ago from Altamonte Springs, Fla. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Wesley Chapel. She is survived by a son, Stephen Collins of Lake Mary, Fla.; a daughter, Cathy Drews of Cartersville, Ga.; a brother, Roger Wolf of Hamstead, N.C.; three grandchildren, Rebecca Collins, Stephanie Drews and Ricky Drews. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Oakley Funeral Home on West 54 with Rev. Linford Houck officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 595 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.

CUSKER, Gloria L., age 79, of New Port Richey, passed away July 20, 2003 at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, New Port Richey. She was born in Chicago, Ill., and came to New Port Richey in 1975 from Fox Lake, Ill. She was a telephone operator for Illinois Bell of Libertyville, Ill. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Cusker of New Port Richey; four sons, Stanley McLaughlin of Cottenwood, Ariz., Richard Chuk of Bristol, Wis., Thomas Cusker of Birmingham, Ala. and Curtis Cusker of Fox Lake, Ill.; three daughters, Darlene Borke of Fox Lake, Ill., Carol McLaughlin of Lecanto, Fla. and Julie Anne Cusker of Gurnee, Ill.; a brother, Gorman Ericksen of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of North/ Meadowlawn Funeral Home, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, Florida.

FERRARA, Geneva Nell, age 81, of New Port Richey, passed away July 18, 2003 under the care of Hernando Pasco Hospice of New Port Richey. She was born in Spartanburg, S.C. and came to New Port Richey in 1986 from Fairfield, Calif. She was a dietician and a member of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Ferrara of New Port Richey; a son, Rick Kersting of New Port Richey; a daughter, Sandy Lewis of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. FRAZIER, Madeline Yvonne, 58, of Zephyrhills, passed away July 20, 2003 in Dade City under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. She is survived by her husband, Norman Frazier of Zephyrhills; three daughters, Eva Marie Frazier of New Port, Tenn., Madeline Wigley of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Kimberly Parr of Colquitt, Ga.; a son, Paul Wilder of Ballground, Ga.; and 14 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Whitfield Funeral Home. Born September 23, 1944 in Tampa, Florida to James and Mary (Chino) Mondello, she was a homemaker and a Protestant.

He was born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky and moved to Port Richey from Louisville, Ky. in 2000. He was the owner of R. K. Metals in Port Richey and served in the Kentucky National Guard. He was a Baptist and a member of the Masonic Lodge #940, F & AM. Survivors include wife, Kathy Kidd of Port Richey; son, Dr. Donald (Becky) Kidd, MD of Mobile, Ala.; sister, Carol Campbell of Louisville, Ky.; granddaughter, Ashley. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 23, 2003 from 10 a.m. until service begins at 12 Noon at Dobies Funeral Home. Entombment following at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.

KRUGER, Robert W., 74, of Port Richey, Florida, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2003. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and came to Florida in 1977 from North Bergen, New Jersey. He was a security guard and a member of St. James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda Kruger; a son, Greg Kruger, both of Port Richey; two daughters, Dawn DePietro and Robin Kiser of Fort Lauderdale; and two grandchildren. Arrangements by Bell Funeral Home, 7532 State Road 52, Hudson, Florida.

LATULIPPE, Yvonne, 95, of Zephyrhills, died July 19, 2003 at East Pasco Medical Center. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she moved to this area 30 years ago from Manchester, Conn. She had worked in a Cotton Mill, and Woolen Mill in both Rhode Island and Connecticut. Mrs. Latulippe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the St. Joseph Women's Club and a member of the Old Timers Band who has played for various functions including Sleepy Hollow Estates and Nursing Homes. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John Rays officiating. She is survived by five children, Paul Latulippe of Vernon, Conn., Maurice Latulippe of Tucson, Ariz., Marianne Lessard of Palm Coast, Fla., Leonie DesRosiers of Pine Grove, Pa. and Norman Latulippe of Manchester, Conn.; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Inurnment will be in Manchester, Conn. at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the St. Joseph Building Fund or the American Lung Association in Yvonne's memory.

LEIDOLF, Theresa, 60, of Port Richey, died Saturday, July 19, 2003 at her residence. Born in New York City, N.Y., she came here 20 years ago from New Hyde Park, N.Y. MARTIN, Marion L., 76, of New Port Richey, died July 21, 2003 at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in New Port Richey. Born in Saginaw, Mich., she came to the area 17 years ago from Saginaw. She was a seamstress and worked for Beall's Department Store in New Port Richey. She attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in New Port Richey. Survivors include two sons, Timothy Martin of Bradenton and Robert Martin of Saginaw, Mich.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service and Internment will be in Michigan.

MUDRICK, Mary Lillian, 62, of Hudson, died Friday, July 18, 2003 at home. She was born in Plattsburg, New York and moved to Pasco County from Monticello, N.Y. in 1977. She was a registered nurse for the past 38 years, working for the past five years for The Visiting Nurses Association of Florida. She was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church in New Port Richey. Survivors include son, John P. Mudrick of Tampa; daughters, Jackie A. DeAngelis of Brooksville, Roseanne L. Taylor of Hudson and Joanne L. Mudrick of New Port Richey; brothers, Robert Childs of Deposit, N.Y., Michael Childs of Fort Worth, Texas and James Childs of Virginia; sister, Janet Childs of Georgia; and eight grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie and Anthony DeAngelis, Amber and Chris Taylor, Scott and Tess Mudrick and Emily Goodell. A celebration of life will be Saturday, August 2, 2003 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 5725 Rowan Road, New Port Richey. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Church in Conn. Survivors include three sons, Robert L. Duval Sr. of Bayonet Point, Richard P. Duval of Durham, Conn. and Fredrick L. Duval Jr. of Lincoln, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

SHAULL, Joan K., age 74, of San Antonio, Fla., passed away July 20, 2003 in Dade City. She had lived in San Antonio for seven years coming from Ypsilanti, Mich. She was a member of The Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club and was active in the Par Seekers Club. She was a Methodist by faith and a member of the First United Methodist Church of San Antonio. She is survived by her loving husband, Leona rd; son, Charles (Kathy) of Kalamazoo, Mich.; daughters, Lynn (Chuck) Shapiro of Land O' Lakes, Fla., Chris Bentley of Norfolk, Va., Gale (John) Ellis of Milan, Mich., Diane (Mike) Gabert of Allen Park, Mich. and Carrie (Dave) Stevens of Hazelpark, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday (today) at 3 p.m. at the Fist United Methodist Church in San Antonio.

VRANEK, Pearl M., 92, of New Port Richey, passed away July 20, 2003 at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. She was born March 3, 1911 in Chicago, Ill. and came here 29 years ago from St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in New Port Richey and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Frank; a daughter, Donna Herda of Toney, Ala.; a brother, Raymond Racine of Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Vincent Astorini of New Port Richey; son, Enrico Astorini of Freehold, N.J.; sister, Filomena Plazzo of New Port Richey; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife of 50 years, Hannah ( Clampit) Conklin. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Zephyrhills with Rev. Craig Ford and Rev. Charles Whetstone officiating. A Committal Service will be held in Conn. on August 20, 2003. Born April 21, 1919 in Magnetic Springs, Ohio to Harvey and Etta (Barney) Conklin and he came to the Zephyrhills in 1979 from Rhode Island. Mr. Conklin grew up and graduated from High School in Westerly, Rhode Island. He was a graduate of the University of Chattanooga, and Boston College where he received his Masters in Theology. and served at the Methodist Southern New England Conference. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in his memory.

He is survived by a son, Glenn Dobbs of Watsonville, Ga; two daughters, Barbara Hosley of Titusville and Sonya Incardone of Bradenton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 25 at Whitfield Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Geiger Cemetery in Zephyrhills. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Friday, one hour prior to the service. Born March 9, 1909 in Phenix City, Alabama to Oliver and Mamie (Roberts) Dobbs, he lived in Zephyrhills for 20 years before moving to Titusville four years ago. He was a telephone cable operator and a Christian.

Born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, she lived in Spring Hill for one month coming from the Tampa and St. Petersburg areas where she lived for 16 years. She was a clerk/secretary and recognized for 40 years of service with the Dept. of the US Navy. She was currently employed by James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa. She attended All Souls Anglican Church in Port Richey. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Stephenson-Sanders of Spring Hill; six sisters, Adelina Garcia of Tampa, Fredes Winda Roque of Jacksonville and Esther Garcia, Belen Garcia, Cira Garcia and Yvonne Garcia, all of San Juan, Puerto Rico; and two grandchildren, Ben and Elizabeth Sanders. A Memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Jose Morales and Rev. Michael Burroughs officiating. GARRISON, Robert `Bob` L., 80, of Port Richey, Fla., died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Madison Pointe Rehab & Nursing Center, New Port Richey. He was born in Englewood, N.J., and moved to Port Richey from Mechanicsburg, Pa. in 1990. He was a trackman for the New York City Transit Authority for 21 years, an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Port Richey, and participated in Civilian Conservation Corps. Survivors include his wife, Claire Garrison; son, Ronald Garrison of Port Richey; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be Monday, July 28, 2003, at 10 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial following at 12:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery.

He owned Hedden's Red & White Grocery Store for 25 years and was a Army Signal Corps (27th Division) Veteran of World War II. He was a 50 year member of First Baptist Church in Cuba, N.Y., a 50 year life member of American Legion Post #655 in Cuba, N.Y., member Cuba, N.Y. Masonic Lodge F&AM and member of US Army 27th Division Association. Survivors include his wife, Wanda W. Hedden of New Port Richey; son, David R. Hedden of Cherry Creek, N.Y.; daughter, Sandra L. Allis of Cuba, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was supervisor of accounts receivable at Swift & Co. in Chicago. She was a Presbyterian. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Otte of New Port Richey.
