WALTER WOOD HATCH, 89, of Clearwater died Monday at Morton Plant Hospital. A native of Goshen, Ind., he moved to this area in 1956 from Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He was a retired vice president of a millwork company, a Coast Guard veteran of World War II, a former member of Rotary, and United Methodist. He is survived by his wife, Edna Mae; a son, Walter Wood Jr. of Clearwater; two daughters, Lois Kern and Elsie Coyle, both of Baltimore; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor.

EDITH L. HUGHES, 86, of Palm Harbor died Monday at Harborside Healthcare. A native of Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada, she moved to this area in 1980 from Detroit. She was a retired office manager for Tecumseh Pump Co. and a member of Unity Church of Palm Harbor. She is survived by her husband, Melvin E. Sr.; and a niece and nephew. STEPHEN J. KELLEY, 41, of Tampa died Tuesday at Tampa General Hospital. A native of Ellentown, N.J., he moved to Tampa in 1969 from Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a self-employed carpenter and Protestant. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his mother, Renee of Tampa; two brothers, David J. and Timothy S., both of Tampa; and a sister, Jamie L. KENNETH LEE MITCHEL of St. Petersburg died Monday at Heartland. A native of Valdosta, Ga., he moved to this area in 1958 from Jasper. He was employed by the city of St. Petersburg and Cox Lumber Co., and a veteran of World War II). He is survived by his wife, Catherine; three sons, Kenneth and Randolph, both of St. Petersburg, and Michael of Fort Myers; a daughter, Priscella Magnum of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. KENCIL LORNE MITTON, 87, of Dunedin died Sunday at Manor Care Nursing Center. A native of Saskatchewan, Canada, he moved to this area in 1976 from Schenectady, N.Y. He was a doctor of radiology, a former member of Dunedin North Rotary and a member of American Medical Association, Medical Society of Schenectady, the board of directors of the American Cancer Society for the State of New York, American College of Radiology, Dunedin Golf Club and St. Mark Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle V.; two daughters, Carol Ann Austin Ballou of Dunedin and Judith Helen Miles of Columbia, Mo.; a sister, Edna Marie Everitt of Chatham, Ontario, Canada; and two grandchildren. ALBERT J. "JACK" LANGFORD, 86, of Bartow died Tuesday at Columbia/Bartow Memorial Hospital. A native of Mulberry, he moved from Lakeland to Bartow in 1945 and worked 30 years as an electrician for Armour and U.S. Steel corporations. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, member of a pioneer Polk County family and member of American Legion Post 400 and Survivors of the Normandy Invasion. W. ANDERSON "BILL" ROBINSON, 89, of Babson Park died Monday at Lake Wales Medical Centers Inc. Extended-Care Facility. He moved to Babson Park 30 years ago from his native Philadelphia, where he retired as a Plexiglas factory assembly worker for Rhoam & Haas Co. He was Catholic and a U.S. Navy Seabees veteran of World War II. He had a close companion, Marc F. McClernan of Babson Park, but no known surviving relatives. Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Wales.

GUY M. SMITH JR., 66, of Auburndale died Monday at home. A native of Belle Glade, he lived in Polk County since his retirement in 1975 as a U.S. Air Force master sergeant. He was a member of Central Assembly of God and a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
