WILLIE T. HOLMES, 50, of St. Petersburg died Monday at Integrated Health Services William and Mary Nursing Home. He moved to this area in 1960 from his native Gainesville. He was a former chef for Holiday Inn in St. Pete Beach and Westminster Shores and Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Wenoka and Taisha, both of St. Petersburg; his father, Johnnie of St. Petersburg; two brothers, Johnnie Jr. of Bowie, Md., and Isaac of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Ann Burney and Connie, both of St. Petersburg; and two grandchildren. Creal Funeral Home, St. Petersburg.

LEDRU KAUFFMAN, 65, of Clearwater died Tuesday at Columbia Largo Medical Hospital. A native of Coppock, Iowa, he moved to this area in 1991. He was a chiropractor, practicing in Wayland, Iowa, and Mount Pleasant, Iowa, owner-operator of Kauffman's Motor in Mount Pleasant and Ottumwa, Iowa, sold vans to a network of dealers, established Kauffman Mobile Home Sales and Rentals in Largo and was an Army veteran. He is survived by two sons, Scott and Mark, both of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Marsha Buffington and Jill Taylor, both of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Donald of Clearwater and Dean of Wayland; and 10 grandchildren. His companion was Marilyn Klise. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes, Largo Chapel.

DORIS I. MAXWELL, 76, of Palm Harbor died Wednesday at Mease Hospital Countryside. A native of Sayre, Ohio, she moved to this area in 1984 from Columbus, Ohio. She was employed by Corrugated Container Co. in Delaware, Ohio, and Protestant. She is survived by a son, Gene Berman of Palm Harbor; a daughter, Elaine Gaylor of Palm Harbor; three sisters, Barbara Allen of Ravenna, Ohio, Wanda Young of St. Petersburg and Mary Jane Bell of Zanesville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. FRED W. McCULLUM, 83, of Palm Harbor died Monday at Mease Hospital Countryside in Safety Harbor. A native of Minneapolis, he moved to this area in 1983 from Decatur, Ill. He was an accountant for Archer Daniel Midland in Decatur and a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. He is survived by a son, Gary F. of Maple Grove, Minn.; a sister, Lucille Brouelette of Long Lake, Minn.; and a grandchild. Moss-Feaster at Sylvan Abbey, Clearwater.

GLADYS IRENE OSBORNE, 88, of Clearwater died Tuesday at Morton Plant Hospital. A native of Hamilton, Ohio, she moved to this area in 1974 from Atlanta. She was a lieutenant colonel in the Salvation Army and had served in several different capacities throughout the South and was a member of the Salvation Army Women's Organizations. She is survived by three sons, James of Clearwater, Ronald L. of Avondale Estates, Ga., and Harry A. of Jonesboro, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. JEAN S. RONDO, 86, of Clearwater died Monday at Bayview Gardens Nursing Pavilion. A native of Paterson, N.J., she moved to this area in 1968 from Wayne, N.J. She is survived by a daughter, Helen Hanson of Downers Grove, Ill.; two brothers, William Sinkankas of Palm Harbor and John Sinkankas of San Diego, Calif.; and three grandchildren. SUSAN B. SCHERER, 45, of Dunedin died Monday at home. A native of Kingston, N.Y., she moved to this area in 1986 from North Carolina. She was a homemaker and a member of the PTA in Dunedin schools and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R.; two sons, Kyle and Kenny, both of Dunedin; two daughters, Jennifer and Hope, both of Dunedin; his parents, John and Audrey Haber of Kingston, N.Y.; four brothers, Jack, Bill, Phil and Mike, both of Kingston; and two sisters, Pat Short of Dunedin and Ellie Bartow of Clifton Park, N.Y. MARIE M. SCHLOTT, 80, of Dunedin died Monday in Clearwater. A native of New York City, she moved to this area in 1974 from Hempstead, N.Y. KENNETH SITTMAN, 35, of Palm Harbor died Tuesday as the result of an auto accident in Palm Harbor. A native of Miami, he moved to this area in 1990 from Coral Gables. He was an international airline pilot for World Airways and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Airline Pilots Association and St. Alfred's Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; two sons, Donald Blain and Adam Matthew, both of Palm Harbor; a brother, Don of Jackson, Miss.; and two sisters, Ann Sittman Yessman and Mary K., both of Panama City. EDWARD J. SLAUGHTER, 72, of St. Petersburg died Sunday at home. He moved to this area in 1932 from his native Miami. He was a plumber for the Veterans Administration for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion in Madeira Beach and the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle. He is survived by his wife, Karen D.; two sons, Edward J. ERIC ANTHONY TRENT, 38, died Sunday as the result of a shooting. He moved to this area in 1984 from his native New York City. He was employed by Custom AC Service, a veteran of the Army Reserves and a member of the Latter Day Deliverance Church of Jesus Christ. CARLOS MANUEL "CHARLIE" VALDES, 83, of Clearwater died Wednesday at Columbia Clearwater Community Hospital. He moved to this area in 1950 from his native Tampa. He was a shoemaker and Catholic. He is survived by his wife, Mariana C.; a son, Carlos Jr. of Jacksonville; three daughters, Alice Taylor of Jacksonville, Chicki Smith of Tampa and Cathy White of Clearwater; a brother, Albert of Tampa; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. GENEVIEVE E. WHITE, 91, of Westland, Mich., and formerly of Largo died Sunday in Wayne, Mich. A native of Charlton, Mich., she moved to this area in 1954 from Bethesda, Md., and moved to Westland in 1990. She was an administrative assistant for the Government Accounting Offices in Washington, D.C., a public school teacher in Iowa, a volunteer for Morton Plant Hospital and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Largo.
