WILLIAM S. BARNHART, 88, of Seminole died Saturday at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park. A native of Downers Grove, Ill., he moved to this area in 1984 from Lombard, Ill. He was a retired stock broker with Dean Witter in Chicago and a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Jan; two sons, Bill of Clarendon Hills, Ill., and Ray of Barrington, Ill.; a daughter, June Barnhart-Pizzi of Barrington; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. DEBORAH SCOTT BETZ, 47, of Bartow died Saturday at home. A native of Arcadia, she moved to Bartow nine years ago from Coral Gables. She was a lawyer and member of First Baptist Church of Bartow. She is survived by a son, Robert S. of Coral Gables; a daughter, Kimberly A. of Coral Gables; her parents, Frank and Jeanne Scott of Bartow; two brothers, George "Hugh" Scott of Winter Haven and Barron Scott of Jacksonville; and two sisters, Jeanne Sherrard of Bartow and Vay Pasto of Safety Harbor. SAM CAPITANO, 75, of Tampa died Saturday. A native of St. Louis, he moved to the area 54 years ago from Louisiana. He was a retired tile setter, an Army veteran of World War II and Catholic. He is survived by a daughter, Angie Fernandez of Tampa; two sons, Frank of St. Petersburg and Sam of Tampa; a brother, Jimmy of New Orleans; two sisters, Josie Ramirez and Jeanie Hubert, both of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. MAXINE M. FILE, 53, of Clearwater died Saturday at home. A native of Buffalo, N.Y., she moved to this area in 1982. She was a mortgage counselor. She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, James Carnahan and Kenneth Carnahan, both of Clearwater; two stepsons, John and Timothy, both of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Kelly Pope of Seattle; her parents, Merle and Jayne Carnahan of Clearwater; and two grandchildren. VEDA J. HICKMAN, 62, of Dunedin died Saturday at Mease Hospital Dunedin. A native of Princeton, W.Va., she moved to this area in 1973 from Savannah, Ga. EMMANUEL IPSILANTIS, 95, of Tarpon Springs died Friday at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital. A native of Halki, Greece, he moved to this area in 1963 from Georgetown, S.C. He was a restaurant owner and operator in Georgetown and a member of the Hellenic Benevolent Association of Tarpon Springs and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. CARMEN M. MCCREEDY, 88, of Palm Harbor died Friday at Stratford Court of Palm Harbor. A native of Ontario, she lived in Tampa for over 30 years before moving to Palm Harbor in 1993. WILLIAM HENRY MURRAY, 45, of Tarpon Springs died Saturday at Helen Ellis Memorial Park. He was a native of Tarpon Springs. He was a crew leader with the Tarpon Springs Parks and Recreation Department, a Mason and a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Doris; seven sons, William Henry, Terron Deshawn, Michael Dwyne, Stanley Allen, Steven Elliot, Samuel Dennis and Leon, all of Tarpon Springs; two daughters, Miason Mariey and Tia Danielley, both of Tarpon Springs; his parents, Dock and Florene G. of Tarpon Springs; three brothers, Danny L. of New Port Richey, John L. of Tarpon Springs and Frederick A. of Atlanta; eight sisters, Cynthia D. of Tarpon Springs, Joan L.y of Pinellas Park, Loretta F. of St. Petersburg and Delores A. HELEN CISZAK POZSONYI, 85, of Largo died Thursday at Sabal Palms Health Care Center. A native of Carteret, N.J., she moved to this area in 1956 from North Brunswick, N.J. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Prayer Group. NICHOLAS G. SLOURTES, 98, of Clearwater died Saturday at Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center. A native of Agion, Greece, he moved to this area in 1974 from Detroit. DONALD WILLIAM TRAUTNER, 78, of Pinellas Park and formerly of Dunedin died Friday at Hospice House Woodside. A native of Chicago, he moved to this area 20 years ago from Monroe, La. He was a retired district manager with an insurance company, an Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War, active in Clearwater community theater, appeared in several local television commercials, anda Catholic. He is survived by two daughters, Donna M.
